I decided to upgrade my S9+ to a S20 ultra. Although I didn't want to lose the 3.5mm jack, the notification LED, the heart rate sensor, but I thought it was worth losing all this even though it's more expensive than my S9+, because I assumed I would get the Buds+
But it turns out that I was wrong, The company I pre-ordered my phone from are not part of the scheme. So now I have a phone slightly better than my old phone, but that none of my headphones work with.
I just wanted to know if anyone else has had their claim unfairly rejected?
Stop living in the past and start keeping up with the program. Changes is always good.
How do you know that the company isn't part of the scheme? Did you try to register for the special offer from within the pre-installed Samsung Members app?

There's a box with drop down menu with a list of sellers on the registration page. Could you choose yours? Did you uploaded the proof of purchase (must contain the name and address of the seller and yours as well, date of purchase, invoice number, phone model)?

I agree its not bad, but not so much better that its worth 1400. First of all I like my s20 Ultra. But it sure doesn't seem that much better than my previous Pixel 3 XL. Its heavier and I don't like having 2 of everything. I prefer Google Apps, Phone, Messenger, Photos, camera Etc. I'm trying the Camera app from Samsung for awhile but may just end up using the Google Camera App. I'm not super impressed, not miserable either. I've never owned a Galaxy phone. So I just gotta get used to new apps and redirect stuff like contacts, and photos. Can't wait to get the update for 120hz and 1440 simultaneously. Finally its nice the entire screen is usable. though. No bezels. LOL

You can disable all the samsumg apps and use the google ones if you want. If you Root it you can completely remove them. I've heard that the 120hz is a massive battery drain so I don't think I'll ever enable that. It's a shame, I really loved my S7 and S9, but with this phone I'm wishing I went for the LG of Sony.

Ok. Is it an UK based reseller? I'm in Germany and didn't have any problems. Anyway I've just went through the Terms & Conditions of the promotion on Samsung UK website and your retailer isn't listed as a participant. Maybe that's the reason your claim was rejected. I've pretty much did everything but root. Disabled what I could removed what I could. I heard some of the apps are embedded into the build and cannot be removed even through root. If I hadn't gotten a free s20 plus for my wife I wouldn't of gotten the ultra. I would of went with the flip Z.
its still a great phone, its just heavier and not much of an improvement. I do use the 120hz though. And my battery last most of the day. Charging is on par with the Pixel 3 XL. No sense in buying the $50. super charger 45w. only charges fast when the phone is really low battery life. It slows down to 25w charging after 25% I think. I havn't dove in depth with the camera software, but I plan on it. 100 zoom is worthless, pictures come out like ****. The 30x is the sweet spot and pinch and zoom. Quality is night and day different. But hey I'm just whining. The phone is great, just not the best on the planet like I expected from an ULTRA name.
There is an amazing windows phone coming out really soon, I heard that is going to be something to look at. Well in 2 years for me. LOL

Especially if you could only get the 32gb version. I have the onpelus 3. Good device. How do you think the Pixel XL will be better? I think the camera is a big plus for it. Maybe faster software updates, although not sure how fast the updates were on the latest nexus devices.
Here I've been using an OP2 and I can't wait to change of device...
My OPO was great, my OP2 suck since I got it with all the cheap hardware problem.
I'm going with a 32gb Pixel Xl, I won't miss that 32gb less than my OP2. I can't wait to be on our Android, using PA ATM but it's not perfect.

Lucky for me i get to go to a CPW on release day so if my unit has not shipped by then ill go in store and pick one up and if not i might just not bother all together, my 6P is still fine
Cancelled my 32 Silver for a 128 black. I heard that the white front might not be best for VR and I got worried about space having a 64 6P currently.
Second thoughts.... sure it is going to cost me $1300 with the taxes.
I think twice about spending that much cash.
I pre ordered. But now I see the v20 on B&H with a tablet (as a gift) for 870. No taxes.
We are talking about $100 difference and you get a tablet that you can sell for another 100$.
The v20 has great sound, camera, screen and Nuget.
So at this point I don't know.
No HD Voice for the Pixel on AT&T is a big drawback for me. Just found out that AT&T won't activate that feature for off-carrier phones.
Dropped off my Note7 on Friday at the AT&T store, using an S7 Edge for now (so similar to the Note7 but not at the same time). Ordered the Pixel XL that same evening (Black/128) without a second thought. The only thing I will regret, aside from thinking the Note7 was the best looking phone but that ship has sailed, is Samsung Pay. I have been using it since getting the Note in August and I love it! I wish Google had purchased that company that patented MST technology....it's the shizzle!!

This is pretty big as I'm on AT&T as well. Did you cancel yours.
I just canceled my Pixel XL 128 GB. T-mobile has an offer for the LG V20 for $550 after trade -in of my old phone. I get B&O headphones for free and even could get a tablet for free. For the pixel I would have paid almost 1,000 bucks and nothing on the Pixel would rectify that price difference. For 550 I can sacrifice some "features" like Google assistant etc.

You just tapped the card swiper or something like that? I think I tried it a year ago with the s6 but wasnt accurate at all for me.
I ordered the 32GB XL and I am a little worried that I didn't get enough storage, but I had a 32GB Nexus 6 previously and it wasn't a huge deal. I just need to be careful about deleting old TWRP backups and photos that have been backed up to Google Photos. I will only regret my purchase if the storage speed sucks, even though it has UFS 2.0. Google has been so terrible about storage performance, but the switch to UFS 2.0 should hopefully address that problem. As long as that's good to go, I will feel as though it was money well spent.

Samsung Pay has worked flawlessly for me, I use it almost everyday and most days multiple times. Grocery stores, WaWa's, gas stations, only place it didn't work is in a small waffles and ice cream store called Nina's. Great waffles but they use one of those attachments to an iPad and it didn't recognize the card.
the only problem with Samsung pay is they were/are slow as hell at expanding it, they have been talking about it since the S6 for the UK and it still isn't out here, so coming from my Note 7 I won't miss it because Samsung never got round to actually bringing it to Europe unlike Android Pay, so really MST or not I would probably not even look at Samsung Pay now, for me atleast that shipped sailed a long time ago.
as for having second thoughts, since I had to return my Note 7 this is the only phone I can see as a replacement and I need something to get off the S3 that was the only phone I could scrounge to use while I waited for the network to actually sort out what it is doing (it still hasn't about 4 or 5 days after taking my phone off me, no surprise I am changing network)
No none at all.

Yeah works great at the small number of merchants that accept NFC payment. I've been using Google's version for years, I still have a $20 Google gift card for using Google Wallet back in like 2011 or so. My point is Samsung Pay is far superior because of MST technology. I can use it everywhere a credit card is swiped regardless of whether there is an NFC pad or not.
I tried Samsung Pay 3 or 4 times on my S7E I had. It worked exactly 0 times for me, so I stopped trying.
I think I must go to places with very finicky readers or something.

Occasionally I get a "card could not be read" message but then I reswipe and it goes through. I have had great success with using it, you should try it again. Also I found watching the Samsung Pay tutorial helpful as I wasn't "swiping" my phone which helps the reader pick up the information.
I was holding out hoping they would start getting desperate to get the recalled units back, let's hope this is the case, so i guess i should hold out longer now Nd see what happens. They should give us discounts on the next phone, but that doesn't really help being on contract for people like me on the next plan, if i switch the s7 edge right now, I'm locked in for a year unless I pay off half the phone, its a mess but I'm hoping this mess blows over soon, I dont want the S7 but I will use it temporarily until a real upgrade drops, otherwise I'll keep my Note 7, really just depends in what Samsung is willing to do to get me to give it up lol.

I was feeling the same until, in the interests of safety and concern I might need to fly unexpectedly, I swapped for an S7E. The phone is fine. I miss the iris scanner a bit. I barely used the s-pen. I think the battery life is better. I can totally live with this phone for a year or two. I'm on the Jump plan but I really don't make use of the upgrade option much.

Discount or not, many will still be in a contract if they were forced to take the S7...
Doesn't seem like this speculative deal is just for hold outs, but for anyone who owned a Note 7.

LCD? Really? I just can't see beyond that glaring weakness.
So far this offer appears to only be for users in South Korea - Samsung may simply never make the offer worldwide, that would be somewhat extreme and basically cost them double what this whole thing is costing them at this point in time.
Perhaps this offer arose for Korea because some 500 people are sueing them there already?
Now a S7 Edge explodes. wtf?

So I can sign up for an S7E then get a Note 8 upgrade mid term at 50% off? http://www.androidcentral.com/samsu...korea-makes-it-easier-buy-galaxy-s8-or-note-8
Assuming they extend this offer to the UK that is. Well I returned my N7 and am awaiting a call from Carphone Warehouse to upgrade to the S7E. But I guess I'll only do this if they extend the offer to the UK...

I would be willing to bet that almost every model of phone has had a couple examples of individual phones having meltdowns. It's called "acceptable risk of failure"
i.e. the manufacturer tests and does calculations on their product, and analyzes it to determine how likely the device is to fail, and what the potential damage from said failure would be. If the financial risk due to that failure is lower than the cost to lower the failure rate, they don't care about it (unless the failure rate would be so high that it would draw negative media attention, such as the case with the Note 7).
I imagine that Samsung did this with the Note 7 - they looked at the situation and figured "well, we can swap to the single battery maker for xx million dollars, and replace existing batteries (as well as potentially the glass and body), and the failure rate risk will be lowered to 1 in whatever number of phones". Then when they did that, they realized that the continuing failure of first gen phones, combined with a very small handful of second gen phones (yes, there were 25 or so failures after the phones started being replaced, but not nearly all of those were second gen phones), the only options were either do a full recall, and mitigate the potential financial liability from a lawsuit, or do a complete recall and re-release the phone after putting it through even more extensive testing and possibly an update or repair to the hardware (requiring full recertification and testing for most countries they are sold in that require such certification). The cost was too great, and the risk was too great, so they canned the phone.

Oh of course. I'm actually brand neutral. I have tried many brand of smartphones over the years.
Starting with the HTC Dream, and then I've had Motorola, Samsung, Xiaomi, Sony and one more that slipped my mind.
The smartphone has become such a personal device for me, it has already superceded my laptop usage. I've had cheap smartphones in the past and I had enough of those. Few months ago, decided to have one super smartphone that does everything I need. And the Note 7 looked like it fit the bill. But we know how that ended up. And the S7 Edge doesn't quite fit the bill for me.
The LG V20 looks good for my daily use. I totally understand why you'd disagree. But we all have our personal preferences. And the V20 might just work out for me. At the same time, it would be the first time I'd try LG.

They're decent smart devices for the price.
However, most reviews of smartphones (every smartphone, not just Xiaomi) fail to cover is the call quality. I mean, it's a smart -phone- after all.
I make phone calls all the time. My parents, my in-laws, my wife, friends, etc.
Once, my wife and I had the Redmi 2, and it was one of the most frustrating experiences we had. We were constantly struggling to make out what we're telling each other.
We've since switched phones. She got a Galaxy S6, I got the Xperia Z3 Compact, VoLTE and HD Voice was like butter to our ears.
I got the Note 7 initially, so that we could communicate using 3G video calls, something not many smartphones support. But now that the Note 7 is discontinued, I have to search for an alternative.
I was quite close to settle for the S7 (no Edge), until I discovered the V20 also supoorts 3G video calls. So I'm giving that a shot.
Edit - Oh and charging was slow. After experiencing quick charge, you can't go back.
To be fair, I'm not sure about the newer flagship Xiaomi phones. But I don't think I'll be getting another Mi phone soon. I am eager to try OnePlus 3 some day.

Found another video. Looks like web browsing won't look to good when the phone is in the one hand configurations. Unless the person using the phone had it in desktop view.
I don't think there will be an issue with that. Apparently the issue reported on the testing handsets was when you switch from the external to internal display on Chrome. Plus, these are all older software and hardware than the final release models will be. And certainly nothing that can't be fixed with software updates.
If they're serious about the extra support Fold users will get, I'd imagine a faster update to Android 10 than they usually do. That has a lot of built in support for folding devices.

That would definitely be nice. I was able to reserve one. Unfortunately, it's only for At&t and Tmobile. I'm surprised Samsung didn't make unlocked devices for all U.S. carriers but they are probably producing such a limited amount of units they decided on GSM compatible networks. Also, I'm a little sad Samsung didn't do a Fold press event like they said they would. I thought the one they streamed on the 11th/12th would be about the Fold but it was just on the A70/ A80 series

I just heard that AT&T paid $15 million to be an exclusive seller. As of now, no Verizon but who knows how long that will be. They got the 5G exclusive contract with Samsung anyway. I think that the US Carriers have a lot of influence on Samsung because they are willing to shell out so much money. Probably another reason that there is no Unlocked version. I'm surprised that AT&T only offers the Silver and Black colors. I'm glad I pre-ordered on Samsung.com so I could get Martian Green with a gold hinge.

That explains a lot .Yeah I heard also that you can only get the silver one in at TMobile. Well goes to show money talks ?. I was definitely disappointed since I'm on Verizon.
I've seen seemingly dozens of videos as well as read many first looks and so on. One thing that comes to mind is that somewhere I read that all sales will be carrier, no unlocked sales. Even the ones that Samsung let you reserve were AT&T or Tmo versions, not international unlocked so that one may be true. Sounds like E gets it for the UK, I've been trying to figure out if that one will have an unlocked bootloader...

I'm on the fence. I *want* to be an early adopter but even if I'm extremely careful I'm afraid that $2000 screen will be nicked up in no time at all.

Just got an email saying it's being terminated and once you update to android 10, it will cease to work.
Along with this and the abandonment of the gearvr (yes, I used it regularly, no, not for porn), and the complete lack of any kind of warning that it was going to happen, I'm done with Samsung.
I was about to purchase a TV this coming black friday and Samsung were in the running. Not any more. By the new year, I'll be a Samsung free household.
Assholes!
gear vr is a big waste. paid some apps and only to lose support on note 10. but it wont drive me to buy their dedicated vr gear though

It's a phone. You want a desktop or vr, buy a computer and real vr system.
It's not like you can pick up a cheap galaxy alternative.... Wait..

Thanks for letting me know I should go out and purchase two additional devices to replace the one device that was doing everything I needed it to just fine.

Nope, it is not a phone. It is a full arm computer on phone form. Very powerful too. Buy the 12GB version and you are faster than most laptops out there.
Discontinuing LoD means Samsung is non serious for anything really...
Yes it's a phone... that they want it to do more than what it honestly needs to do. That's why it's called a "smart"PHONE.
LoD maybe like 50K people use it at most 2 of the main sources total downloads on the play store barely broke 5K, and APK mirror had roughly 36K downloads. Hardly game breaking and honestly isn't worth the effort to keep working on it. That's barely even 5% of sale of devices that supported it. Probably cost more to maintain that the profit it produces. IF you want to keep using it well don't upgrade your device. No other OEM offered it so you are stuck up a creek without a paddle so to speak. Maybe it 20-30% of sales they may have kept it. Maybe you can get a petition going like some people are doing and see if Samsung change their mind.
Most 1200 laptops are faster than the Note 10+ my 2013 laptop costs me 1200 brand new and I know for a fact it still would walk circles around the Note 10+. The Note 10+ probably has the same power as a $500 laptop currently at best imho.

We are talking not even 1% in 2 years. Essential sold more phones than that in 6 months. Makes sense why Samsung would drop it especially when people scream about how slow Samsung is with updating.
Yes I am one of those downloads, but I don't use it as much as I thought I would. I ended up not installing on my Note 10+ , and uninstalled it on my S10+.

As I said APK mirror shows 36K downloads and all one needs to do it look at the cached website(which a few publications did) and saw 5K"ish" downloads. You don't have to believe it if you don't want to, but I have nothing to gain or lose by telling you what I read and saw. If since 2 years ago Samsung sold millions of S9, Note8, Note9, and S10 devices and only 40K worth of downloads what would you do from a business unbiased standpoint? You would drop it right? I know I would because it's hardly a blip of sales being affected. It's pocket change compared to what they would pay for a development team to maintain it.

it's not even published officially, just basing on the download counts on apkmirror doesn't mean anything. it's like saying the number of downloads for the phone apk at apkmirror tells us it is unpopular so we should ditch it.

Do you think Samsung would drop it if it was not widely adopted? I see in this thread alone 2 people trying get Samsung to keep it. We See Pixel owners petitioning Google to bring back a feature they took out the pixel 4 and countless threads all over the place. It was a niche and barely anyone used. Be real with yourself.
To be buying a $1000+ phone and not have a desktop, and complain about a niche VR setup..
Priorities are way off here.
I get the anger over Samsung dropping a "feature",
So don't update if it's worth it to you.

niche or not is not an adjective where you describe it it becomes a part of reality. there is a difference between being realistic and practical. the stats on the number of people using dex and linux on dex should be similar. the only reason for this would be the people who would use dex are people who would be savvy and would know about linux on dex.
before you go on expecting me to provide some background on the stats, perhaps we should be doing the same before jumping to conclusion what is niche, what is realistic and what is practical. personal viewpoint do not make the cut here. removal of a feature is a fact.

vr is niche probably because it isn't as widely accepted as a necessity.

It was never a feature to begin with... Show me where Samsung said the Note 10 would have said feature? Never did and like you say it was never a public release so you are contradicting your previous comments. So what is it a feature removal or a product that was never officially released? There is a difference between the two.

When has Samsung said it would be available to the Note 10? It was in beta and had the disclaimer it may be dropped or may be rolled out as an official feature. You can't call it a feature if it was never an official product released.
There's other alternatives you can do and a lot of media outlets showcased them. Maybe you can try those?
gutted about this gonna check out the alts

Dude you were in the minority and that is why they killed it. It wasn't cost effective. The development of the product was greater than the sales. They all do it, it's business. Look at Google and how many apps they've killed or Microsoft or Apple. If that is the thing that will be a dealbreaker for you, I might suggest you avoid tech all together because eventually, all tech dies.

Sure it was beta and all. **** move not to roll out one app release with 2 strings so that the LoD app can run on the Note 10/10+ (which have higher RAM configs available that the S10 line - good luck finding a 12GB version of the S10+). There's no alternatives to LoD. UserLAnd comes close, but it's nowhere as stable or fast because of the way it runs. No way to get a proper desktop browser - sans remoting to a VM somewhere. And all the other implications. Sure the userbase for this is (was) niche, but still.
Been reading every review I've come across on the 20 U and they all have been saying the same thing, not worth the money, camera is barely better than 10, if at all. Has anyone cancelled their order because of this and going to wait it out? On the fence, as I've seen the pixel "getting fixed" , now several months later and still isn't. If anyone has come across a review, post latest update, please share. TIA

Nope. Because the reviews out at this point are early impressions based on not reaching expectations based on hype. Nothing ever hits that, and every phone review is basically the same as a result.
In the end, this is the best Android phone out there, and likely will remain the best for a year. Nobody else does "no compromises" phones anymore, because everyone else knows nobody will pay the money that it costs to do it. Samsung is the only player out there willing to take the risk of putting out a phone that checks all the boxes, and that's all I really care about - I am tired of paying close to a thousand bucks for a phone that has skimped out and leaves me wanting to upgrade a year later, and at this point in my life I can afford to pay more so I can just keep my damned phone for 2 or 3 years rather than regretting some annoyance 6 months later.
Nope, as long as it is better than my Pixel 4 xl.

I didn't get the impression that anyone was saying the camera wasn't better than the S10, only that the autofocus is slower. The camera is better than everything and on par with the iPhone 11 pro from everything I read.
Granted, it's hard to say a $1400 phone is worth it for the average consumer when the Pixel 3a and Chinese phones exist.
Maybe because it looks worse than my Note 10+ which looks worse than my 11 Pro Max which is king when it comes to video and night mode!
My delivery date is 03/17/2020 so plenty of time. Don't think that cancel button is going away any time soon. Real reviews will be live in a week running updated firmware.
After learning of the Samsung store's 15% restocking fee (!), I certainly don't want to make a $240 mistake.
Reviews are not horrible and everyone forget that phone is still 1 full week from officially launching. Everytime I get a phone on launch day, as it activates I get a software update. I'll be super surprised if there isn't a big update in the works coming in a few days
I'm going to try the phone out myself. People get way too emotional about new phones to give objective opinions and as others said, it isn't even released yet. I too have a P4XL and if I like it better, I'll keep it. I can afford it or I wouldn't have ordered it. I also just read Samsung's return policy on their website. It says you have 15 days to return a phone at no cost to you, shipping is even covered. I returned a phone a couple years ago and that's how it was. If that policy had changed I would think their website would reflect the change. returns

We know for certain that there's an update to let you turn on 120hz mode at full resolution, and one to improve auto-focus performance.
The auto-focus thing is not really a focus issue so much as an artifact that has to do with the larger sensors and lenses - it behaves a lot more like an SLR than a phone camera in terms of focal length and F.stop, and hence the depth of field detection needs tuning. It's the same reason that the phone gives such incredible bokeh even without turning on portrait mode. Think of it more like the transition from fixed focus to auto-focus cameras, and how people had trouble getting good shots in the early days. More savvy reviewers picked up on this and were already correcting for it themselves by the time of their reviews.
Bottom line is this isn't likely ever going to be as "point and shoot" as other phones are, but they can tune things better than they are now and are working on doing so. In exchange, when you go into pro mode you should be able to do a lot of things that you simply can't with other phone cameras.
Most of the negativity has been about:
Value for money
Specific camera attributes especially the worthiness of 100x zoom
Battery impact of 120Hz refresh rate
Size, weight, and protrusion of the camera array
Missing headphone jack
Boring and limited colors
My thoughts:
With $1K phones not so unusual any more I guess value is relative. With Samsung's liberal trade-in programs a lot of people are going to being paying a lot that than $1.3K.
From reading the reviews improved low light, excellent zoom up to 10x, and multiple ways to take everyday photos will make the camera great and a step up based on the way I use it. I do think some of the issues like occasionally wonky auto focus will be corrected with s/w.
I'll probably use 120Hz and probably have more than enough battery to get through my day. I'll turn it off when I'm travelling when battery is more important than smoothness. I'd bet fine tuning via s/w improves 120Hz performance over time.
I currently have a Galaxy Fold so the S20 Ultra will seem small. But for those used to big phones it's just another big phone. The camera array is pretty in your face but most cases minimize it. I ordered a black phone to help make the camera array less in your face.
Yesterday's news.
Whether black and gray are livable is individually subjective. Don't like black and gray? Don't buy the phone.
This is the first 5G phone that theoretically supports the deployed bands. That's kind of big and kind of cool. I'm on AT&T and cities I travel to have real 5G so it'll be neat using it. AT&T'rs with long term plans for this phone keep in mind their changing their topology in 2021 and it won't work after that. Other than that it's just another solid evolution of the things Samsung does well. I'm guessing for those buying it the phone's assets weighed against its liabilities still make it worth purchasing. To each their own.
How many people actually stop and write a good review, very few because they are busy enjoying their new phone.
I'm gonna rock the Ultra 5g 512gb.Cosmic Black and wait till the Note 20 5g drops and see how Samsung improves and streamlines from the S20 Ultra to the Note 20 plus, with the trade ins each time and the bonus credits of preordering,Still not a bad deal, plus 6.9 inch 120 htz.refresh rate.I'm perfectly happy with that.as for the bland colors I always put a case on it from day one so problem solved on that, but I dont mind Cosmic Black at all either.

Where did you hear about a 15% restocking fee? I don't see anything about that on the Samsung site (at least for the US Store) and I chatted with a Samsung rep who confirmed that there is no restocking fee for opened phones.

Samsung seems to have multiple FAQ stores, some claim 15% on most items, others don't.
I returned a S10+, and don't remember a restocking fee, but I also have problems remembering what I did yesterday so.
My new S20 Ultra is here
On Friday, I got my brand new, cosmic black S20 Ultra, to replace my S10+ and there is no doubt that the S20 Ultra is the best phone I have ever used. It is better in every respect than any other phone including the note 10+: The screen is unbelievable sharp with amazing colors and contrast. Camera is quick and snappy and the photos are the best I have ever seen from a phone. So, don't hesitate!! Buy this phone and you won't regret it!! I also got the best case for the S20, the Speck Presidio Grip.. Expensive but the best money can buy.. Go for it

i dont really trust the reviewers on youtube. there will always be criticisms to try to be objective. but all the reviews are subjective no matter what.
people are going to say 5g is not worth it yet. but later, 5g will be used all over, and this phone will not be outdated by not having 5g.
i guess what im saying is, there are uneducated reviews about products on youtube

Honestly, I have not read any horrible reviews. What I have read are several excellent reviews that also mention there are some issues with the Camera - but which look like they can be fixed with a future software update.
Certainly, it would be ideal to get a new phone and have everything work perfectly - -unfortunately, that isn't reality. The S20 Ultra still appears be an incredible phone - it just has a few software issues that need to be taken care of. I am stil feeling really good about the phone and feel confident that Samsung will provide u pdates to otake care of those issues.

4G still good today. Also, 5G will not be avaliable in every country in at least 10 years so, unless you live in US or any country that has any plans of starting to use 5G in a short period of time (2-4 years), is pretty worthless. Probably after 3-4 years (being generous) you will change your phone and you would never have used 5G in that time.
