For the "phone" section on there, what do you put? I was able to find the PDA and CSC using the app that's linked there but I can't figure out phone. I can't do auto as I'm verizon.

best (and fastest) way is with kies simulating an emergency recovery. It downloads directly on your pc. you have only to discover the temp file in the internet download directory unzip and voilà.

Hi:
I was intrigued with your comment, Can you explain how you do that? I have limited exposure to KIES and when I tried to do an emergency recovery to get stock my device did not show up in the window. There was a prompt for a recovery code. I have no idea what that is about or where I would retrieve such a code. Thanks!

shortly:
kies3 -> connect the device (the drivers will be installed) -> select "tools/firmware upgrade and initialization" -> click yes and accept to everything ; skip backup -> some components will be downloaded and installed on PC (the device will not be affected) . At this point the appropriate firmware start to download in a temporary folder. Discover this folder via an appropriate tool ( like procmon from sysinternals.com filtering the sm-p605.exe process - in my case C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Local\Temp\tmp3C06.tmp). when the download is finished this file is renamed from .tmp to .zip and inside it you will find the firmware (.tar.md5). Hope it helps

Thanks. Worked as advertised.
What is the difference between the note 10.1 2014 November and December 4.3 firmware on Samfirmware, one is from Taiwan and one is from Afghanistan. You think there are any lag fixes in those builds? Seems weird they don't have a December build for us...

Up anyone to guide me ?
Hi,
I have found a few sites that link to the stock unrooted firmware for the p600 (p600UEUBMK1) but it uses download sites that are either down or require some sort of shady sign up process for "fast" speeds. Does anyone happen to have a stock firmware they could throw on their dropbox or somewhere that I could grab it?
Trying to return to stock from a rooted environment and not having much luck...
Thanks

There's one on a Google drive you can use somewhere in a forum. I think it's in one of the top 2 sections. Start in general and put Google drive in the search bar. I live in us and it is fast download and works fine. If you can't find it write me and I'll find for you.

Yes indeed. You must for example flash from sammobile a possible csc-file for this device.

Yes. I changed CSC on a Tab S4 LTE with 256 GB internal RAM. I flashed it with DBT-Firmware from sammobile and Odin. Now I use it rooted with Magisk and cts-fix with Android 10. I have read much here on XDA. But I´m no expert in this, I understand it in the moment I use it and then I forget the details. Also I changed years ago a Samsung S4 with Alexandres debloated Software.

No, you can't,it is very dangerous.. (possibly brick)
You can flash CSC only for your model or some "compatible" CSC for your device.(maybe "CSC"from another country)
Download from playstore the " PHONE INFO ☆SAM☆" application, and look there all compatible CSC for your device etc...

thanks for your help
I got a notification that a software update was available. However I didn't realize that Samsung requires the update be done via WiFi. This isn't a problem for most ppl but I stay at a VA facility which is currently in lock down, so I can't go home and use my WiFi and there's no WiFi here for us to use.
My ? is can this be side-loaded? If so can someone point me in the right direction.
I don't want to hack into someone else's WiFi hot spot because I couldn't be sure how stable it would be.
Thnx in advance.
Use Odin. Download firmware from www.samfw.com
Try from a hotspot made on another family/friend phone.

When I click to insert the AP file, I wait for a few minutes and then Odin completely exits.
How to fix that????

What version of Odin are you using?
Also, what model of Samsung do you have? We have device specific sections on this forum, this question would probably be better there. We can move this thread for you.

3.13 is not the latest version though, 3.14 is.
I usually download it from mirrors from Recognized Developer corsicanu and never had issues with it.
