I was wondering if anybody ever tried this Saferoot method with Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) P60x
This method was published after the latest update for P60x in november 2013.
This rooting process should work with a wide range of Android devices, particularly those running Linux Kernel before 3.5.5 (which most Android 4.3 ROMs use.)

f.e. Motorola RAZR HD
Well, the most important phrase is
This exploit will NOT set the Knox Warranty Void flag. It will set the "Custom" flag, but that's nothing to worry about.

Link not working
Anyway, thanks
haven't heard about this before

I don't know about this but be aware once you root or flash the device you are not gonna triangle away back. ( at the mean time)
Is anyone brave enough to try this on their device and report back?
Edit: reading through the thread posted, it has been mentioned that this won't work for the GN3, so I highly doubt it will work for ours. Too bad.
To bad, sh**
Do you have a link, please?

Here is where they say it doesn't work on note 3
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=48749875&highlight=note+3#post48749875
however it seams that it is somewhat safe to try. Can someone try, and report back?
I can verify that saferoot does not work:
Code:
setsockopt() failed: Bad address.
this device is not supported.
ie the kernel exploit is patched in this version.
sm-p605 with mj9 firmware.

I get the same thing with sm-p600 mj4 firmware. Really wish someone could get this rooted with knox 0x0. At least you have a root method on p605 that accomplishes that.
Any news on this root method or any method that works and keeps knox 0x0?
Towelroot works.

Yeah, I don't know why but US isn't showing up for the sm-t310. However, the cellular south has the same build # as my tab, so should be good to go.

If you do not see Cellular South, look for XAR. That is also the US. On top of that, if you don't want to have to deal with Samsung's ridiculous download site just do a search for
XAR-P5210UEUAMK1-20131209141149.ZIP
or
XAR-P5210UEUANB2-20140310150619.ZIP (most recently released)
Both of these are the OEM Roms for US P5210. They are available on other download site besides Samsung's.
Whats next? What files would I need to restore the Verizon DE Note 4.
Just in case it ever get erased , it would be nice to have them handy.
Also it would help me to understand the firmware.

Thanks again!
I downloaded two copies of each with verified Checksums just in case!
Is it safe to assume that I could use these two files to go back and forth between KK and LP on the Developers Editions Note 4?
Again thanks for putting this together.

I was one of the first to order the DE from Samsung. On the first day they we're offered.
Will this updates apply to my phone?

I have no idea why there's a difference. I've used the ANJ5 and BOAF and my phone was fine.
You could backup your current setup before you switch to BOAF. Then backup your new set-up too.

Yeah there's a brightness fix kernel to flash in TWRP. Have you odin flashed TWRP then recovery flashed SuperSU. That kernel has some battery tweaks that help out with battery usage too.

Can you point me to the file I need to Odin flash TWRP?
This is from the ASUS forum. Sadly it will only work with Linux. So I'm wondering if there's anyone here who can pick at this and see if something can be created for Windows as I cannot for the life of me get Ubuntu or any other Linux system to install on Win 10
http://www.asus.com/zentalk/thread-76656-1-1.html
As it says on the page, it is for 2.20.40.184, so that is for the last update of lollipop.

So... it works on Lollipop?
I'm with Lollipop '.184' version.
I would be able to uptade by OTA like I'm never rooted just removing the root with SuperSu?
So many questions haha. I was used to do this in Motorola devices - it was so easy - and now i'm feelig as a newbie again!

Really thanks man.
Currently, I'm on official stock rom 3.2.6.
I am planning to root my OnePlus 3 but i want to receive official updates too.
Does OnePlus provide zip files for updating (latest updates) via custom recovery??
Sorry if someone already asked this question, thank you.
