Maybe this is a dumb question, but my software version is SAOMC_SM-N975U-OYN-ATT-PP_0015, which firmware should I flash if I want unlocked but keep OTA updates? I know it's N975U but there's so many options regarding the CSC.

Pretty sure it's still the U1 firmware your looking for and XAA for the CSC. The process is the same for converting a phone with carrier firmware on it (975U) to one with the purchased from Samsung unlocked firmware (N975U1).
Please note that flashing the U1 firmware (from the Samsung unlocked note 10+) does not network/sim unlock your phone if it is (or still is) locked to AT&T. Also when it comes time to have the phone unlocked by the carrier you will more then likely need to reinstall the carrier firmware. Also be aware of the bootloader version when flashing, as you can only flash firmware that has a bootloader version equal too (or higher) then what is currently on your phone. You can not downgrade bootloader versions (odin will throw an error if you try).
If you want carrier features be sure to flash the for AT&T. You can find that (and how to convert to U1 firmware) in the other thread your participating in under Guides/News/Discussions.

Hola xSatoshix perdón por no responder antes, la vdd pues aquí nadie me ayudó y la única opción fue que un amigo viajo a usa y llevo mi celular a un bestbuy de allá y ahí me lo actualizaron, tu encontraste otra solución?
Phone can't be, updating if you don't have a working account with them and a working number. That means a simcard from att and connected to the att network.
So it's impossible to get the ota's outside the USA.
You can update manually with Odin but if your phone is not with the original software, efs, etc. You may brick your phone.
I have the same exact phone with the same exact software. Today I've checked for software update with AT&T sim card in the phone and it came back saying it is current.
So, the question remains.
Also, chatting with Samsung support a week ago I was told to go to BestBuy and let them flash the latest everything. (doesn't apply to the OP)

Im from mexico, my friend travel to USA and In the bestbuy store they update my phone to the last frimware
My device is AT&T Samsung Galaxy S9 Model SM-G960U. I am looking for AT&T latest Firmware download for my device. AT&T says latest firmware is G960USQS3ARI6 (September 1, 2018). So far not able to succeed. I saw in some posts that it is possible to flash other carriers Firmware (Verizon or T-Mobile) to AT&T Galaxy S9 as long as model number is same which is in this case same, SM-G960U.
Can I flash other carrier specif Firmware files to my S9? Is it that only the apps/bloatware will be installed from that ROM, and no change in any other functionality?
I wont do it if my phone gets into any problem with core function. I am not in US, phone is unlocked and current firmware version is G960USQU1ARBI. Pretty much its working fine, I want to update to get security updates. AT&T FOTA doesn't work since I am outside and not connected to AT&T network.
Where can I get the firmware files?
aguien que puedo responder estoy en algo similar

Canada, right? You'll want the XAC unbranded CSC assuming they have an up-to-date XAC release. There's more than one way to get hold of the firmware but id recommend Frija from here https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s9/how-to/tool-frija-samsung-firmware-downloader-t3910584
instal it, look for the XAC firmware and download it. Unzip it, flash the relevant parts with ODIN (latest version). be prepared to wipe the phone, not sure if it can be done without a full wipe. This is how i moved from carrier-branded H3G CSC to BTU.

Do I need a PC to flash
Try Samsung Switch on PC. Got the latest update immediately when I connected my A70 to it.

Yes from Canada, I don't know what I'm doing wrong but frija can't find anything and Odin is always giving me a re-partition error when trying to install xac firmware that I've downloaded

how did you do it?
i've been struggling to find the firmware for the model sm-g960u (at&t). i think the pda/csc is G960UOYN3BRK2. i found some on the internet, but those are for us cellular and t-mobile only, not at&t. tried to flash through odin, but it fails. i can't boot my phone because it says "system software not authorized by at&t has been found on your phone".
can someone find the firmware G960UOYN3BRK2 that is at&t based? i can't really seem to find it on the web.
Why not do it by ota ?
If you are downloading from sammobile
Get the usa usc
G960USQU7DTA5_G960UOYN7DTA5_USC
There's a G960USQU7DTA8 version too

What the previous user said these devices are multi carrier firmwares. So the oyn will configure for att. The not authorized error screen is ok. It's the same as download mode you can still flash via Odin on this screen

"DTA8" is the one AT&T just sent out OTA to their S9 phones on Feb 27. It's the Feb 1 security patch.
I have a S9 SM-G960U AT&T. But I don't found any AT&T firmware in SamMobile. Which another firmware can I use?

So sure, changing stock firmware from one region to another... no prob... the hardest part is waiting for the firmware download to finish, lol
Anyway, when a different firmware and thus a different CSC is flashed it shows up in software info of the phone as a series of region codes XAS,XAS/MID or whatever it is on each different phone.
The issue I am having is the last 3 letters in that string in my case MID which is Iraq. I have tried France firmware, Australia firmware, New Zealand firmware and they all change the codes except for the last letters again in my case MID.
Also, in Download mode there is (for me) Carrier ID: MID which neve changes no matte what firmware I flash.
I am trying to change that Carrier ID and subsequently the last letters in my software info.
Here is a link for a SNAPDRAGON but I need directions for Exynos.
[Snap.] Guide for Flashing Standard FW, Carrier Switching, and Flashing Unlocked FW
Hello. This is my first guide, so please forgive me if it looks a bit weird. But without further ado I present you with the [Snapdragon] Guide for Flashing Standard Firmware, Carrier Switching, and Flashing Unlocked Firmware for the S8. Here are...

So again, changing CSC is easy. Its changing the Carrier ID as shown in Downlead mode I'm looking to do.
If anyone out there knows how to do this and can reply with a few quick bullet points (I just need to know where to go, I don't need every step action) or has a link to some already existing directions that would be great.

I believe that pertains to changing vendor ID. I'm throwing this out of memory but, I also believe, there were guides to do it in the note 4 debrand guides.
It should be like :
Soft/soft / Ven/Carrier
So installed FW refer to software the last 2 to vendor and carrier id
This was made by decompressing the firmware and manualy editing the file for vendor and carrier ID or on the EFS recovery guide. I am sorry I do not remember. this is just too old and became inocuous for me so i totally forgot it.
anyways just giving you some pointers if you want to dig a bit as this was extra old by now.
I need to change my Carrier ID too.
Any update ?
Dependiendo de cómo instale la versión de firmware gratuita no cambiará las letras rojas "carrier__id" este cambio ya está vinculado al imei y componentes del teléfono, debe cambiar el csc, sn e imei.
