When restarting my S20 Ultra it prompts me to put in my password in order for the home screen to finish booting up. How can I disable the secure boot up ? I went through the same issue with my S10+ but I don't see the disable setting in the S20 Ultra. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Interesting. If I power cycle my phone it asks me for a password. After I enter that it will allow me to use fingerprint. I did a transfer from a Galaxy S6 that required a password after reboot. I wonder that setting carried over.
I've set my phone up as a new device with a PIN and fingerprint set up. When I reboot the device I am asked for a password when it switches back on.
I beloved Nougat is using direct boot where it boots into the OS but until you enter your login info the device status fully encrypted. After you boot the Pixel or Pixel XL and log into the device after reboot you notice it takes a few moments for everything to show up, that's because it's decrypting the device.

select either PIN, or password to bring up the option to enable it on boot.
I have problems with my samsung s9, I forgot the start pin the phone is encrypted as I do not let me turn on the phone and neither lets me enter the recovery please someone to help me:llorando::llorando::llorando::llorando::llorando::llorando::llorando::llorando::llorando::llorando::llorando::llorando::llorando::llorando:

I have the Strong Protection setting (previously called Secure Startup) enabled, but it recently stopped working (probably sometime since the ASI3 firmware update for N975U1). Instead of prompting for my password early in the boot process, the phone gets all the way to displaying my lock screen (showing my contact information, selected background image, etc.), which suggests that the phone's encryption has already been unlocked with no password entered yet. (It does still require my password to get past the lock screen.)
I've tried disabling and then re-enabling the Strong Protection setting, and clearing the system cache, but the phone still boots all the way to the lock screen without requiring a password.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? Alternatively, is there anyone else (with the ASI3 firmware) who is *not* encountering this problem?
It may have changed a bit in an update?
Ever since I got my note 10+ (build ASJ2 and the previous 2 updates) that is how strong protection has worked.
Hi,
i recently bought two Samsung tab 3 10.1 tablets, however when i turn it on i get the message
"Enter you pin or password to use the encrypted device memory"
I have tried to do a factory reset which will not work and i have also tried to install a factory image, on which it goes on the device but loops back to the pin/password screen.
Can anyone help? i am willing to pay for help

hello I have an s20 plus and when looking for updates it tells me an error when registering and the secure folder and Samsung pass are not there, does anyone know what happens?
Log out of your Samsung account via Settings --> Accounts and Backup
Reboot, try again
