Honor MagicWatch 2 pool swimming count problems - Huawei Watch

Hello everyone.
I bought Honor MW2 and go to swimming pool. Everything was fine till I had change swimming style from breaststroke/freestyle to backstroke. First 100 meters was counted but next pool lenghts was not counted at all.
When I back to breaststroke/freestyle MW2 started counting meters. Can I do anything with the latest firmware (1.0.0.30) to solve this problem?
Before I used Xiaomi MiBand 4 and after last firmware update there was no problems at all (before it was counting too much).
Thanks in advance.

Very fast, excellent gaming, great screen.
Can you still find them?
Great phone - soon to be overtaken by the OnePlus 6
If you can afford it, wait for the 6

I'm not trying to hijack, but I have a very similar question, and in the interest of not creating yet another thread...
A couple weeks ago, my OnePlus 3t that had been my daily driver for slightly over a year decided to take a swim in the toilet. As water resistant as all the 3s and 3ts were in the videos I watched on YouTube, I can tell you mine most assuredly did not follow that same path. Long story short, my poor 3t is now dead.
I am now faced with the dilemma of purchasing either a brand new in box 3t.. an exact replacement of the phone I've grown to know and love over the past year; and a very lightly used 5t for very near the same price. My question: being that I'm not upgrading from a working 3t to the 5t, is the difference worth forking out the extra $40-50 and getting the 5t or should I just stick with the trusty 3t; for which I still have the case and all relevant system backups, ROMs, apps, and other data still sitting in my laptop that I was unable to bring myself to delete?
I would wait for the OnePlus 6 but it'll a bit out of my price range and having to use this Alcatel Cameox without root or anything for that long would figuratively kill me.

Just ordered a Xiaomi Redmi Note 5. How's the GPS & display in sunlight?

Hi. Just ordered a Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 phone from Amazon and I need to know the following:
- is the GPS/navigation feature any good? This is crucial to me since I'll be relying on it to get me where I'll need to go. Are there any reported problems with it?
- is the screen display bright or at least readable in sunlight? My current crap android phone is utterly useless in direct sunlight, or even just outside on a sunny day.
This will be my first high performance android phone. Will be upgrading from a cheap Unimax U673c phone. I plan to use it with Red Pocket Mobile service on this plan. Also, browsing these subforums I get the impression that these can be easily rooted. Correct? I live in western Massachusetts. Thanks for any help.
I've never seen any GPS issues with this smartphone and it always worked well for me.
The brightness is quite satisfactory and by the quality of the display you will not have too many problems with it.
About root, following the steps correctly is quite easy. The community of this smartphone is huge and so a lot is done for it, so root (or the unlocked bootloader being more accurate) opens many doors.
+ 1
The screen is visible enough
The GPS is bad, real bad. Like 10-15meterw accuracy when driving.
Need clear access to the sky and while stopped, to get less than 5m.
My redmi-note-4 was better than this

All my previous android devices (mostly tablets like the Nexus 7 2013 or Asus ZenPad S3 10) had bad, unreliable GPS chips or designs that kept losing connection or just wouldn't work while people I knew with iPhones seem to have very reliable experiences with GPS apps and navigation. I wanted something comparable to that in an android phone. Since GPS is important to me, which ROM do you recommend for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 (global) I just bought?
I would first check to which location my device is set in build.prop.
Well you have to wait for 15 days to root and install ROMs Phone is great I have a global version too you won't regret for the phone.

Well, that's confusing. At first I thought you were joking, but no. Yikes, 360 hours!?!? Took me 360 seconds to root my old Nexus 7. Was never able to root my Asus ZenPad because of the mediatek chip so I should be thankful my new phone can be rooted at least, if I don't mind waiting 2 weeks. Two weeks? Two weeks!

In Redmi Note 4 it took 72 hours, and in Note 5 it was 360 hours. It's bad, we have to get stuck in MiUI because Xiaomi wants that.

I saw a post around here of someone triumphantly announcing a way to bypass the 2 week wait and even offering a tutorial but then they dejectedly added an edit and said:: Nope, didn't work after all. When I get my phone (shipped yesterday) I'll be playing with it a few weeks before I think of rooting it. What's the best guide on here for rooting the Redmi Note 5 Global? There seem to be several of them.

I've tried using the method and it really does not work. Xiaomi has released an update correcting this. And do not try to do it because it resets the time and you need to wait 360 hours again.
To unlock my RN5 I used this post here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/re...omi-redmi-note-5-whyred-unlock-t3778049/page1
It's quite complete. I also recommend that you research about Project Treble that is not speaking in this post.

For those who have the phone, did it slow down?

Hello,
I am curious to know if the phone slowed down after several months.
Please tell us:
1- if you phone is the Chinese or the global version.
2- time of purchase.
3- did it slow down or not.
Thanks
Bought my mate 20X L29 (global) 3 month ago and no, its not slowing down.
My mother have the Mate 8 for, is it 4 or 5 years now... and its not slower, we dont talking AppleSung here, but Huawei [emoji1303]

1- European variant (C432)
2- around Xmas 2018
3- No, not at all. Can't say I've noticed any slowdown on my previous Mate 9 either. Having said that, the 20 X is snappier.
Not at all, even mine mate 9 became faster as time goes by.
The Mate 20 is fast fast fast
My L29 hasn't slowed down one bit since I bought it at the end of November. The only Huawei phone that ever slowed down for me was my Mediapad X2 after about three years.

Hahaha great post. Not a single bit of slow down . Coming from a Galaxy Lag 9, it's a breath of fresh air. They give Android a bad name.

My friend has a pixel phone and it slowed down. He wants to buy this phone as I recommend it to him since he wanted a large phone. I don't want him to have the same bad experience with slowing down.
My phone didn't slow down, but I wanted to make sure others have the same experience as I me.
this is great news, I'm going to buy one and was wondering the same thing.
8/256 with 64 nm card. received mine around 11/1/18. Have roughly 200gb of movies and apps on it. No studder or lag what so ever . Performance mode is unnecessary . I have never factory reset.
I've only had mine for about a month so not enough time to come to concrete conclusions however, I have owned the following which have all lagged like crazy after a few months: Samsung's (s3, n4, s8), Panasonic cm1, pixel 2 xl
Surprisingly the only android phones that I didn't experience lag or very little was the original Xiaomi mi mix and this one (so far). The speed feels really similar to when I first got the mix. And honestly, so far these are the only two android phones I've had that competes to some degree with iphones in terms of speed and reliability. I kept going back to iPhones everytime I tried an android but the mix was the first to convince me that android can work properly. Now the mate 20x feels much like an upgraded version of that. Surprisingly, it's the Chinese phones that seem to not build up lag after a certain period of time.

Good to hear that.
Thanks for the reply
Mate20x global version.
Been about 11 months.
At the 9 month mark I began getting periods of very bad intermittent lag, affecting all apps, occuring zero to few times per day, lasting about an hour or so. Reboots appeared to clear them temporarily.
After enduring for a week, I did the clear cache in recovery mode, to no avail, and tried other things, and then finally did factory reset.
After the factory reset, it seemed like the lag was gone, then it returned after about one month.
Not sure what to do.
It is intermittent and unpredictable. I would not be able to reproduce it for Huawei service center staff to see.

Question So...did anyone actually buy the OnePlus 9 Pro?

If so what was your reasoning and did you go direct or through a carrier deal? If you did upgrade what phone did you have before?
Upgraded from my perfectly fine OnePlus 6T (purchased in November 2018), just because the deal on OnePlus 9 Pro was really good. But I'm now really happy with the overall performance of the 9 Pro.
I bought the 12 GB/256 GB Stellar Black version through my carrier (in Belgium). It's not a carrier locked phone, fully unlocked. The price was € 999, but with € 349 one time payment, and rest in 24 monthly installments (with usage included).
But the pre-order offer between 23 March and 31 March had a € 240 cash-back from OnePlus, and the wireless charger included. So I pre-ordered it. Got the phone on 2nd April.
Also, my employer reimburses my monthly mobile+Internet bill, so I don't have to worry about the monthly installments as well.
If I break the contract with the carrier, I have to pay the remaining costs, that's just it.
Hello there, I came from OP8 Pro international version which I still have, I've got me OP9 Pro Chinese version (LE2120) and I'm already pleased with this phone, took some underwater pictures, slow mo video, the camera itself is better than OP8 pro, 5G works really well in my area, it feels that it has better 5G connectivity, now that's my personal opinion based on what's important to me, camera and signal, I can't tell you anything as far as performance for gaming because I'm not a gamer. Overall I'm really happy with my upgrade.
Carrier deal with 3UK, upgrade from the OP7P
I have joined.
Traded my s21u for this. Will share my experience.
The black is sexy af.
Bought global LE2125 direct from oneplus.com. It replaced my still very functional Samsung Note 3 that's been my only device for the last 7.5 years. The main reason I finally upgraded this year was SD888 has 5g modem built in, not side modem chip. Went with oneplus since in the U.S. it's almost the only option for a phone you can unlock the bootloader and have a decent chance of a dev/mod/theme community. Also was forced to relocate due to one of the stupid hurricanes destroying my home last year and my Note 3 didn't get very good signal due to limited antennae not utilizing all possible spectrum. Loving my 9 pro!
Note 3? God I hope you were running a modern version of Android for security reasons.
Anyway, I came from a Note 9 after it was crushed and would have cost more to repair than a new Note 9. Got it through TMobile USA.
OnePlus 9 Pro Global LE2125 bought used but like new! Coming from my OnePlus 8 Pro which will be eventually sold...
I switched to OP9 Pro from a 7 Pro because after screen replacement the finger print reader did not work properly.
However I am partly regretting this switch already because the 9 Pro feels slower than the 7 Pro, mostly due to its heavy and slow vertical scrolling which does not outweigh the small performance boost and 120 Hz in everyday use.
Bought a 9 Pro yesterday.
Found a deal at $900 for a device in the box.
Coming from a 7 Pro.
Got the 9 Pro 12/256 and came from my McLaren (Best phone i ever had)
I got mine yesterday and today I've been having lots of fun with it.
My Razer Phone 2 battery was dying it was on its last leg, it kept shutting down out of the blue, so I was forced to switch to a new phone.
Did a google search on Saturday for best phone in 2021 and 1+9 Pro topped the charts across board.
Did another search for accessories and found everything I needed in Amazon.
Ordered both the same day and the case + screen protector arrived on Sunday.
Last night I spend several hours transfering stuff from my old Razer Phone 2 to 1+9 Pro and wow it was easy.
It was the most effortless transfer ever, but the size took hours over WiFi
Aprox 40 GB of data.
Then another 2 ~ 3 hours with Titanium Backup to restore all Data, and wow that was sweet.
I was able to use the phone by the time I woke up this morning with just minor inconvenience like typing the password again for some Apps.
I was surprised most of my old phones Google settings, including Phone specific settings was able to get transferred as well.
Now the only problem I have after rooting is NO Netflix, it won't let me install Netflix, it won't let me sideload it.
Still trying to figure out how to get Netflix working in 1+9 Pro rooted.
The only negative thing about this phone, are the speakers... not strong enough, they sound nice, but no where near loud and clear enough as my old Razer Phone 2
Can't get that Movie Theather feel when watching or listening to music with the 1+9 Pro.

Yep, bought outright. Here in the UK Three were offering both the headphones and wireless charger as pre-order incentives. Previous phone was the Pixel 5.
Within a week the OP9 Pro screen was defective and causing flashing (seems common issue on the forums) so Three offered to send a replacement. Courier also left the old one behind leaving me with 2 phones lol
Upgraded from my OP7Pro
No, we all just like to loiter in the OnePlus 9 Pro forums and we all have iPhone 12 Pro Max's.
Got my OP9P from T-Mobile coming from my OP6T. My OP9P is already unlocked and rooted and I have no complaints with this phone so far.
Like other users, i buy used, but like new. I wait for the price to drop. I saw one less than 750 $, but already taken.
I ordered the 50w wireless charger from China (56.99 $). For me is a must.
The 30w for OnePlus 8 Pro is Awesome, so 50w should be even better.
I already got the 65w wall charger and cables type-C to type-C.
Traded in my Pixel 4XL towards it. Loving my OP 9 Pro so far. I think there is a lot of bad hype about this phone.

General Realme GT Master Edition review - don’t buy it.

Here is a quick story about my experience with the Realme GT ME. You can call it a review, i guess.
So i’ve been using a Honor 8x since it’s release in 2018 and it was all working fine. After 3.5 years it became kinda laggy and slow-ish so it was a time for upgrade. After some research etc. i choose the Realme GT ME (8GB ram 256GB rom model) and i bought it in december 2021 as a christmas gift for myself. It all started fine, the phone was amazing and all of that. After around 8 months i started to experience sound issues. System sounds (touch sound, camera shutter, lock/unlock sound etc.) sometimes were on big delay, they would play after 5 minutes or more (software issue/bug? Audio IC issue?), multimedia sounds worked fine tho. I ignored it and used the phone. Almost 10 months after i bought it i started experiencing weird graphical glitches, usually while scrolling (CPU/GPU issue?). That got me a little mad but i decided to ignore that too. 10 months after another issue appeared. There were no sound during call and i couldn’t hang up. That got me ultra mad. I said **** it and bought myself a Honor 70. Let’s hope the quality of this brand didn’t go down since 2018. So far it’s good, im typing from it. About realme, what i am trying to say is that they have tendency to break. Mine broke, my friend’s C11 broke 2 times already, another friend’s 50 pro completly broke after 5 months. As a conclusion, don’t buy a realme phone if you wanna use it for longer than a year.
Thats all from me, bye.

Looking at other people experiences i think it would be a waste of time because it can break again. It's laying in my phone drawer, im proabably going to fix it on warranty and sell it.
RealmeUI is a piece of **** without a name. So we can wonder about the quality of firmwares... But the components are of good quality. I recommend to install a custom rom based on AOSP.
i don't think this is a review, it's a unit failure and it should be repaired by warranty. Units fail here and there, it has nothing to do with the model or the brand

I own this phone and its working as it should. charging only with original cable , keeping it away from water and dont flex-it . maybe there is something that you guys do wrong with your phones . i'm not shure , what do you expect from cheapest mid-range phones on the market to do ? gt master's equiped with same hardware as samsung phones and the software pack is from google so it should be just fine with normal usage
Hardware 4.5 stars.
Camera 4 stars.
Realme OS: Negative 5 stars.
I have posted about the weird in pocket behavior when using wired headphones where skin touch on the screen registers even when the phone is in pocket triggering mute, hold, record etc.
I have this once a month super slowdown issue where screen starts flickering which is only fixed with a reboot.
Not to mention unremovable apps (except via adb)
The bluetooth sound dampening issue after android 12 update is also noticeable. (audio suddenly drops to about 80% and looses clarity a bit, feels dampened. )
