Reflash the the rom again through LMSA (Lenovo Moto Smart Assistant) on your pc, make sure you select rescue not upgrade, make sure to select the correct G5 code (For example: XT1676)
Also have a look at my own I F*cked up! Help me please? thread, lots of info that might help you there.

I have an old Z00A that has hardware problems (constant screen flickering, battery stuck at 50%) so I backed up every partition with TWRP including system, boot , data etc and purchased a new Z00A.
I used the new Z00A for a few days to ensure that there was no hardware problems and then proceeded to unlock the boot loader and flash TWRP recovery. At this point both sims were working.
I then restored the backup of the old Z00A with TWRP on the new Z00A (Had to change folder name so TWRP recognizes the backup from the old Z00A). After the restore was complete and the phone booted, sim1 stopped working.
After searching through the forums and Google I found some solutions to it but none of them seem to work
Solutions that I have tried
1. Factory reset the phone through TWRP
2. Wiped every partition through( exclude SD Card) TWRP, flashed stock recovery and installed the official firmware.zip file through stock recovery
3. Did a factory reset with the stock recovery flashed (skimmed through the setup)
4. I downloaded the latest RAW file firmware and installed it through ASUS Flash Tool (Had some issues at first but eventually it went through but sim1 doesn't work)
5. I installed the official Lollipop rom through fastboot and flashed a custom Lollipop rom
6. Flashed stock based MM rom (CleanStock), custom MM and N roms (CM, Lineage, RR) through TWRP and do factory resets
7. I have tried using the adb shell and root commands to set the IMEI but they still return to 004999--------
8. Placed the sims in the old Z00A and they still work
9. Swapped the sim trays of both phones (sim1 and sim2 works on old Z00A but sim1 still doesn't work on new Z00A)
10. Used phonetools to set IMEI but they still return to 004999--------
From flashing the custom roms and swapping the sim trays I can conclude that this is not a hardware problem. On most custom roms it recognizes that there is a sim inserted in sim1 (A pop up comes up about sim has changed etc...) but there is no signal and the phone says emergency calls only or no service. I believe that the baseband or modem file are somehow corrupted due to the TWRP restore from the old Z00A and need to be reflashed but this only seems possible on the Snapdragon variant.
All help is appreciated on this matter :fingers-crossed:

Mods can close this thread as he helped me resolve the issue through PMs
Same issue what to do?
Sent from my AO5510 using XDA-Developers Legacy app
My problem was because of a wrong IMEI, I had to flash the debug firmware he linked above and use phone tools 191 to change the IMEI then sim1 began working.

Hi everybody,
I also have a problem with sim card , but it is a little bit different then these that have been described above. First of all my sim is working but not all of the time. I do calls and also I receive a lot of calls. But from time to time sim card just restarts and wants again pin code to unlock ( the phone doesn't restart). A lot of people told me that when they are trying to connect me, their phones are ringing twice and after that they heard busy signal as the call was rejected or the line is busy. In the same time my phone doesn't show any incoming call. Also it is interesting that some people told me that they can't connect me for the hole day and in the same time there is no problem with receiving other calls. From time to time I also can't dial a number. The screen stacks on dialing screen for app. 30 seconds and after that just switch to contacts list.
So what I tried till now:
1. I did a clean install of OTA WW_4.21.40.327
2. Tried to use Sim2 slot, the problems didn't disappear
3. I changed my sim card with new one with no result
4. Tried the sim card with other phone, everything works fine
May be it's time to buy a new phone, but before that I want to be sure that the problems are not caused by software bug.
Any advices and help will be appreciated.
P.S.
The phone is rooted, Magisk 13.3 is installed. The phone is ZE551ML, Z00AD

is your phone fixed now?
i have the same problem with my lenovo p90 (missing imei). but i cant enabled its com port (no way to fix it with intel phone tool without com port existed). no reference to enable it (the com port) nor imei repair on lenovo p90.
i need you to enter your phone with adb shell as root, and create image of /dev/block/mmcblk0p3 and /dev/block/mmcblk0p5. or just copy config and factory folder, then zipped them, then shared here. i need them, to restore what I accidently erased (config and factory partition).
trust me, i won't do any harm to your specific data.
you're my last hope. i hope you'll understand.

Am sorry but I recently sold my ZF2 and currently awaiting a new phone. Am sure someone else on the P90 forums can help you get the files you are looking for
I deleted all the partitions on my g8 using qfil, now the phone has nothing but an edl mode. If someone could share a backup of the partitions that would get download mode working, I could flash a kdz I have with lgup.
Help would be appreciated

So when u bring up 'manage partitions' in qfil, what do u see? Nothing? If that's the case u need the backed up partitions and the xml which has offsets etc of where to flash the images, not just the specific partitions.
cheers

So I put together something that might help, but you'll probably have to make modifications to the xml to get it to work.
I don't know what the xml should look like for it to work with qfil. This is the xml generated by bkerler edl backup python scripts (with the bkerler scripts, you indicate, on the command line, where the bin files are, so it's not in the xml. But, I think the qfil interface needs that info to be in the xml. I could be wrong about that, you'll have to look at qfil and make changes to the xml if needed).
Also, the xml for luns 1 and 2 files are accurate, but not the xml for lun4. You would also need to edit out all the xml restore in rawprogram4 to only include the files for that lun (to get lgup - boot, abl, laf, and gpt*4).
Lastly, this is from a sprint backup, not sure that matters much except in that there is no kdz for sprint, so not sure how your device will respond in lgup if u use these and then try to lgup a vzw kdz (or any kdz), since there's no totc file to 'ID mismatch' with...
good luck

ive rooted many phones in my day, but this one got me, what can i say

That's true. You lose IMEI when you erase all partitions. Except, you have crated a backup of Modemst(1 or 2) or FSG partitions so you can restore them, but after recovering from hard brick. So first recover phone following instructions then restore Modemst 1 and 2 or just the FSG.
If your phone is factory unlocked version and you have no backup maybe we can repair IMEI, maybe! Just recover the phone for now.

Nope, sorry to say. FTM keeps identity data as a temp place from which IMEI cannot be restored. However, you can find the original IMEI from FTM. You need a box to repair the IMEI. The only tool that can repair LG SDM855 phones' IMEI is Octopus. So, you know what to do, I guess ^_^

Bro i did a lot of research on this and have come to the conclusion that you need to be in diagnostic mode in order to edit the qcn file. Your phone must be rooted. Check out the following link to find out more (Skip to step 3). Please tell me if you were able to change your imei or not. Thanks.

After successfully flashing QCN file, with no errors at all in Qfil. I can see the Imei is on the phone now. My wifi and bluetooth works well. The phone see my simcard and asks for my pin. But there is no connectivity at all.
Somebody knows how to fix this?
I flashed persist file with fastboot and TWRP. But no luck.
I erased and flashed modem file in fastboot. But with no luck again.
What can i do more?
Is the qcn file that i flashed with my imei, Carrier locked maybe?
Hello
as some1 who has this kind of issue after doing a system update and tried many QCN, only one QCN worked for me and restored 1 Imei that belong to an LG phone the 2nd IMEI is blank but the SIM work with no issue.
I can send u the QCN file to try it
but before do a buckup to you QCN or EFS
My phone was stuck on fastboot But I followed these explanations and my phone was fixed
Then I tried to flash recovery and root But I ran into system problems
And I wanted to flash it again with the same explanations
But this second time nothing appeared on the phone no recovery no fastboot
Only black screen and vibration when I press buttons
And now the device just enters edi mode
Note: I tried to flash it several times, and the same problem. I feel like it died
Restore backup that you made before first flashing. For this go to QFilHelper folder and rename Backup folder to Flash. Then open QfilHelper.exe and enter 6

Make a backup at least now. Repeat the backup process exactly in the video, right up to the location of the files on the desktop.
