Bixby Vision - Samsung Galaxy A70 Questions & Answers

I had the S9 for while and broke it, so I had downgraded to the A70 recently. My question is, would it be possible to have Bixby Vision for the S9 on the A70, because what I have is so limited, nowhere near the options I had for the S9. Thank you.

Worth upgrading to S9+ form S7 Edge?

Hi!
As you saw from my question I am wondering whether it's worth upgrading to S9+ from S7 edge or should I wait for the Note 9 or even S10? What do you think?
Also.. Will there be good development on this device? :fingers-crossed:

Well it was well worth going from my s7 edge to s8 plus so yes of course going to s9 plus is worth it.
sent from my Pixel 2 XL or Note FE
i'll be upgrading to the s9+ from the s7e, mostly because my plan runs out conveniently on the 15th.
i'm not as pumped by the actual phone yet, but the size, screen and 6gb RAM and battery bump in the s9+ looks good and it will be great... until March 15th in 2020 when i'll get the Note 12 / T2 / S11 Ultra, whatever that flagship is.
I had thought about the iPhone X/ Razer phone, and in an ideal world, i'd get either one instead, but the razer is not available locally and getting updates or repair/support for grey market phones is abominable in ... Australia.
(And, i'm not really invested in apple tech, despite having a now 5 year old ipad, and an iphone 4 that technically still works ... and basically everyone i know, has iPhone or Samsung)
s9 arrives later in the week, the s7 edge is still a perfectly great phone, until my daughter smashed it.
any excuse to get a new gadget.
Rom advice? I see Alexandr is makiung dev base, may stick with that stock feel, yet the freedom to use magisk modules. hmmmmmmmmmmmmm
S7 and S9 are great ,but i prefer the S9 .
It's all worth it .

Roms from s10 to our our s9 and s9+ ?

Will it be possible ?
S10 doesn't even exist yet....
I'm pretty sure pie on the s10 will be identical to pie on the s9 and even s8, its just apps and a launcher.
As for taking the firmware and putting it on an s9 then no, different soc, camera, storage, modem and so forth...

S9 and Disney plus problems

Hi folks, does anyone of you have any idea how to get Disney plus installed and running on the Galaxy s9.
On the s7 zero problemo but s9
In the same boat - they haven't allowed for our device in the new update.

Pixel camera or S20?

Did anybody moved from pixel devices to s20?
I was happy with my pixel 2 xl till the touch screen stopped working.
I was thinking of pixel 4xl but it's outdated I guess.
My eyes are set on s20 but I live in Europe and exynos is my destiny.
How is performance and camera compared to pixel devices?
You're going to get mixed answers. Personally, I'd take the S20. But I know people who think the Pixel camera is better still. Look at photos from each phone online and make the choice yourself.
I have pixel phone since 1. keept my pixel one, sold, the 2 and 3. Pixel 4 still around while testing S20.
IMHO - Selfie , pixel 4 no doubt. But general photos both get good results , it's seems to be a matter of preference, samsung amps the exposure , i like darker photos, but my gf say she likes sammy photos, also most of my family seems to like brighter photos. After the update S20 photos got little bit better , i still prefer pixel's ones sometimes, real life usage both are top cameras.
I traded my pixel 4xl for s20.
Better screen
Better wifi and signal
5g
Better processor and memory
Comparable camera
Missing esjm on s20
I had a pixel 4 and the s20 is superior in every way.....except for the camera!! I took my pixel 4 on vacation and the shots I was able to get were insane!!
I'm not saying the s20 camera sucks, but the pixel is just next level.

I prefer the S20 5G with Gcam mods, these are working very well, Nevertheless the original
camera app of the phone is very good . You can find in the web, these Gcam apk ONLY WORKS
IN SNAPDRAGON VARIANT.
Pixel 4 XL takes better still photos and night shots.
S20 takes better video.
If photos and updates are your top priorities, then get Pixel 4 XL.
S20 is better in every other aspect.
Exynos S20s are less efficient than Snapdragon models. You could import a Snapdragon S20 but it might not support the bands you need, so do research before going that route.

Is your s20 snapdragon or exynos.
So photos are comparable in general.
I like how taking photos is easy on pixel, like each photo is great.

I had bad experience with pixel and nexus phones before over hardware failure.
I bought and sold s10 lite the next day because it it's ugly camera experience.
I want a good similar, comparable camera experience to pixel.
Do I get that with s20 exynos?

I have Snapdragon S20+
Samsung manufactures their own devices. Google relies on other OEMs to manufacture their Pixels. You can guess which has more inconsistent quality control, and also more likely to have hardware issues.
As I said before, Pixel still takes the best still photos. If you want the best camera for taking still photos and low light photos, then look no further than Pixel.
S20 still photos and low light photos are better than S10 series (including S10 Lite), but not better than Pixel.
Pixel video recording is ok, but not the best. Galaxy S20 video recording is much better.
If you want a "comparable camera experience to Pixel", then get a Pixel.
But other than still photos and night photos, the S20 beats Pixel in every way.

Exynos, Sorry . yes pixel's camera are so easy to get decent photos.
One thing that makes me stay with S20 over pixel at the moment is because in my country Android's Face Authentication are not working for my banks and many other apps , so i have to use passwords, and pixel 4 only has face auth. no finger print.

Mine is snapdragon.
S20 Photos is as easy, but have more option than pixel 4xl. Pixel 4 XL is simpler and best shots for point and shoot.
but same time s20 camera is not bad. But honestly I think pixel 4 xl camera for point and shoot is better. But overall s20 is better

Does the S20 with LineageOS work worse than the S10?

Hello,
I still use my Galaxy S7, but now the battery is so weak that it's time for something new.
So I was just on eBay and I was surprised that the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S10 are traded for the same price (400 € in mint condition).
I like the S20 (normal version) because of its larger battery, but before I hit the buy button I thought to myself, "First see if there are any problems with LineageOS ...".
So I went here to the forum, and stumbled across this:

I am still surprised how people don't need any of the 2 additional cameras in their phones since they are not working with this ROM.
Do you simply not care about taking wide angle or tele (pseudo zoom) pictures and put far more weight on the "lightness" of Lineage?
And does this ROM have a setting for VoWiFi to "prefer WiFi" over mobile network?

Can someone please tell me if there is a solution in sight.
If it takes a few more weeks it's not a problem for me, I just want to know if it's worth waiting for.
And I don't use GoogleApps, are there any other problems with the Galaxy S20 or should I rather take the Galaxy S10?
thanks for your help
