Will it be possible ?
S10 doesn't even exist yet....
I'm pretty sure pie on the s10 will be identical to pie on the s9 and even s8, its just apps and a launcher.
As for taking the firmware and putting it on an s9 then no, different soc, camera, storage, modem and so forth...

I can find the note8 and the S9 at the same price. Both in Exynos variant.

The Note 8 because the S9 with the 9810 performs like a slightly better Exynos 8895 with worse efficiency. Although the Note 8 has no project treble. If you get the Note 8 you would have to rely on Lineage.
Read this article about the Exynos 9810 and the s9:
https://www.anandtech.com/show/12520/the-galaxy-s9-review/8
I would say import the G9600 which is the the Snapdragon s9 which has a boot loader which can be unlocked although the development is dead but at least you can get TWRP and flash a GSI and get project treble.
Or get the Exynos s9+ bigger battery and it performs like a slightly better Note 8 with about the same battery life/SOT.
I would stay far away from the regular s9 because a lot of people are reporting bad battery life because of the Exynos 9810. Either pay a bit more and get the s9+ with the Exy 9810 or get the Note 8 and rely on Lineage. Btw I have the s9+ Exynos.
Thanks ??? awesome details!!! Thanks a lot for all this informations.
All plus variant are too expensive here.
Note 8 has no stereo speaker too :/
I found a MI mix2s for 350$ I think I'll go with this.
Hi, I've been using Galaxy Note FE for over an year.
And i noticed there's a super cool camera enhancement in almost every phones from Samsung but Note FE.
Which is Google Camera Port.
So I'd like to ask you guys to help me to use that.
I counldn't find and threads about this topic.
My Note FE is Exynos 8890 version.
Plus, Isn't Note FE released in any other countries but Korea??

You can certainly try testing the Camera Ports for Exynos Galaxy S7/ Edge, the same Exynos processor, so I'm pretty sure it's going to work, if it doesn't, try changing settings, or downloading other Exynos versions of GCam from Celso Azevedo.
Nexus 6 also

Also please consider making a port for Nexus 6 which has 32bit architecture n is missing the list unfortunately.

Gcam for vivo z1 pro
hey sorry for posting in here! I'm a new user so i can't make a new thread.. vivo has launched z1 pro phone two months ago but there is no working gcam for this model..there is one but night mode and portrait are not working.. can someone make gcam for my phone too.
I'm going to try this on my Note FE " Galaxy phones running Android 10, 9, or 8
(Exynos & Snapdragon) " will keep you posted .
also will try the S7 GCam .
Where u find exynos versions.?
Is it normal, that the S20 lineup does not have any firmware available - yet? I really do not remember what this was like with the S8 upwards. Will it be available later or did Samsung change something fundamentally?
Thanks
OK, so, to kind of answer my own question:
OXM Firmware (Exynos) seems to be SM-G988B this time, not SM-G988F like - like all the time? I am unsure and will keep looking.
Does anybody know the variants? U, U1 for NA Snapdragon, N for Asian Snapdragon, W - ? And B for Exynos? Is that right? I found an artivle here, it mentions SM-G975F, but nothinf really saying about it:

So I just saw this article saying that samsung confirmed that the S10 line will get some of the S20 features. Has anyone else seen this or seen anything else that possibly said what features we might get?
https://www.neowin.net/news/samsung...get-some-galaxy-s20-features-now-150-cheaper/
Yes, but i think its just referring to an update to OneUI2.1 which shipped out with the S20 and flip. But some features with OneUI 2.1 on the S20 wont be available for the S10, like 120hz
So the changes will be minor and pretty boring.

Hi,
Did anyone manage to find a WORKING version of Google Camera aka GCam for Samsung S21 FE 5G?
This is the Snapdragon variant so this should be easy! Yet, all the versions I have found so far are either not working at all OR (this part is really weird) the viewfinder and the whole app freezes after 3 seconds.
So it is not enough to just launch it to claim its working (many of the clickbaity news articles seem to do that) because it might work for 2 seconds then stop.
I also need a config file. Yes this is Snapdragon 888 version. I am aware that there is an exynos version too,but here in Europe we have snapdragon just like we did with s20 fe.
Thread closed as the topic already exists here.
