I'm trying to get this phones bootloader unlocked. I want viperfx installed and yes I know most will agree I'm mental if I do that as I heard it limits me to 48000khz but I have my reasons & don't care. Can anyone point me in the right direction or tell me if it's doable? I don't care about the phone other than to make calls, install viperfx and listen to music, and data plus wifi need to work also! Very necessary. Anything else I don't need functional and don't give a $++T about future updates and security patches. Am I living a pipe dream cuz I'm coming up with nothing with my research. Willing to take certain risks & any help be great. If it isn't possible I'll just trade for a phone that I can unlock & root easily.
Any help be awesome
I'm running.....

Calling anyone that would be up for helping get an unlocked bootloader on the Xoom 2. I doubt motorola will offer up the option of unlocking the bootloader as they did with the Xoom.
And this needs to start somewhere,
is there anything do to get something started on this?
How can i help?
Hi ,
I have just bought a motorola xoom 2 10.1
I am very happy of the performance and the connection-features in the device.
I would like very much to unlock the boot loader so that we can have cwm and all it's benefit.
I work with computers from a very long time but no linux/programming experience .
How can I help???
Hope that someone replies. I have already posted in other xoom2 forums but no one answered.

Hello.
I have already rooted my xoom2.
I want to help unlock the bootloader.
Where do i start from?
Hi All,
I don't have my phone yet but upon looking at all the complexities of unlocking/rooting, I'm thinking I want to unlock it just in case I decide to dive in more after I've become accustomed to the phone and learned what I would like it to be able to do (beyond what it already can). I honestly will probably only root and maybe flash a kernel. Don't think I need a ROM (we'll see though... I used to be a very flash-happy person in my past...) I will probably root it as well, but I'm not even sure about that just yet.
So my question is this: is it simple to just unlock the bootloader to make sure it's unlocked for down the road, if I decide to customize more? Also, is it quick/easy to root, if I decide to do that as well up front? If so, does rooting just affect Android Pay?

Did the same. Just unlocked, flashed boot to root via fastboot and a kernel via fastboot. Still don't have twrp on mine.
hey everybody i recently got my hands on an android head unit from amazon
i have atatched some pictures of the devises "specs"
im really looking for help to root the head unit.
i have seen plenty of forums taking me to a russian forum where i think i found out i can root without flashing however all of there links are not good for the downloads
i would like to root the device without flashing if possible however if i have too i will.
i have seen lots of other people posting firmwares that are pre rooted , however they all seem to have different software from mine for example mine is yt9216c_AHD_00005_V004_20200804 but the firmwares i have found are yt9218 etc.. are these safe to flash i take it this means they will have a different version of android or does it mean something else?
if anyone can help me root this device i will happily pay a reward!

I am currently in possession of a carrier unlocked Razr 5G with an unlocked bootloader, that I have rooted via a Magisk patched boot image. I don't know the first step in porting TWRP to this phone. However, if someone will work with me, I will gladly offer my phone to do so.
I have a friend working on it.

I'll release in a bit, just working on touch
Noice... should take a look to see if GSI is portable to this thing, I'm looking forward to this be my next upgrade (Maybe an incentive to keep my next job and keep on with the plan payments, lol), so I want a phone that can run real programs and have my handy DriveDroid install ISO's into work servers and stuff... Still running on a rooted Honor 5X running android 9 since it's capable of doing that stuff and still cuts it for my needs running OmniROM
I really want to make it disappear its annoying (i dont have root and unlocked bootloader) One ui 5*
Use Package Disabler or adb edit.
Disable these two.

Disable Playstore auto updates as well. They can screw you up... Once I get a device optimized I don't upgrade/update firmware. I rarely update apps. Result is a very long lived, stable platform with minimal issues.
Samsung Wearables updates and Buds+ firmware upgrades have broken stuff for me. I also block these especially the firmware upgrades. Samsung is hit or miss... goofballs
