What's the newest Android 10 Lineage OS W/ SD card support? I was thinking about getting a op6t, but I'd prefer something with SD card support. The essential phone is nice, but the specs aren't very good.
I was also looking at the xoami note 8t to run crdroid, but all videos I've watched say it's almost unusably slow. Having to wait a second to open close apps etc.

You don't need an android 10 phone to run lineageOS 17.1 - but wait a while anyway to see what phones get official version.

I know that, but I want Android 10. I like the features Android 10 has, like the doze features.
Edit: so what would be a few of the newest devices able to run lineage? Im looking for AMOLED and sd card capabilities.

Damnit, it's all code names and no way to filter phones that don't work on US lte bands. It would be awesome to have an Excel file that shows specs, frequency, dates, and software versions. I have a lot of footwork to do.

If you like your camera software, menu and other accesibility items you should go for a cusyom rom based on official L...you can search for Cloudy g3 or trix which is a forward for the Cloudy G3

I tried xenon HD and it flew compared to anything I had on this phone. But there are bugs and the camera sucks on any aosp roms
this question has been asked countless times on this forum already, i'll just summarise the main few points for you here. i'm using candysix so i can only comment for that since i've heard cm13 has many bugs and SOD's.
advantages of stock over cm13:
1. Camera - g3 needs lg framework to record 4k videos, so AOSP roms like cm cannot shoot 4k. Normal camera quality is also nowhere near stock quality, although you can flash camera mods to improve the quality (i'm using one m9 camera mod)
2. You don't break your warranty (if you still have one)
3. There are minimal bugs and crashes compared to AOSP
4. Can use LG apps like Miracast, Qslide apps, QuickRemote
advantages of cm13 roms over stock:
1. Much, much smoother UI. almost lag free
2. Battery life is about the same as stock or even better for me
3. No lg bloatware
4. Stock android experience
5. It's Marshmallow!

that's where you're wrong. With the m9 camera if you have the patch you can shoot 4k video.
So should I switch over? Or not? Im still wondering. I have a neat stock rom. I dont shoot videos if at allbut I liek battery life, and I do use the camera for photos decetnly often not to much.

4. You can install themes... Cool thing to do.

just use open camera it has 4k video and everything you need cm13 has been epic fast and stable with no issues and battery last about 17 hours each day when setup right only issue is SD card corruption

Are you sure you got a real 512gb card?? Because SanDisk only reaches 200gb and the only company who says are able to make 512gb is Microdia. But for now this 512gb card is not for sale. It's only a prototype presented in june this year. (see this)
Hello,
I just purchased a Chinese version of Oneplus 3 with Hydrogen OS.
I have installed Google Apps straight away with Xiaomi Google Installer and everything is running smooth and fine.
However, I found that Hydrogen OS lacks lots of features especially in the "Privacy and security" department. No option to set a normal password (only pattern or pin), no information on device encryption, no settings on lock... what's going on? Am I missing something?
How is it possible that there is no way to check whether or not the device is encrypted?
Regards,
That's especially strange considering that stock, vanilla Android includes such features. Why did you purchase the Chinese version instead of the A3000 or A3003?

Exactly, that was my same thought. I also have a Google Pixel C and a Galaxy S6 and the settings on both are far more complete, security being night and day. The fact that only pin (4 digit) or pattern is allowed, no password, and that there is no information on storage encryption is ridiculous.
The phone is the A3000, bought in China, with Hydrogen OS.

The Chinese version is A3000 too, model number: ONEPLUS A3000, firmware: ONEPLUS A3000_16_160630.
And by the way, Hydrogen OS seems not to support widgets... WHAAAAAAT?

One thing I do know is that China seems to really love knocking off iPhone. The no widget move seems to fall right in line with that lol.
BTW my firmware is ONEPLUS A3000_16_160705. I'm assuming the 0705 is the date of the release, which seems like it coincides with the newest release of Oxygen OS.
Seems like you just need to unlock that bootloader and say to hell with Hydrogen OS lol.

Yes. I agree though with @biglilsteve though. Time to unlock bootloader and load other firmware. Also on the point that Chinese phones do live to knock off iOS. You can however just install another launcher that supports widgets if you don't want to get rid of hydrogen.

Well, I thought this entire thread was surrounding your dissatisfaction with the stock ROM. Oxygen OS does encrypt by default. It shows this in settings (as any ROM should). I'm fully satisfied with OOS as a ROM and have no plans to unlock or root the phone in the near future. But it sounds like HOS is no good, so I'd probably go away from it.

LOL. The first (and last) time I tried miui I had to install a different launcher for widgets. I am a minimalist when it comes to home screens, and love the app drawer. Using a different launcher as default gets rid of the pesky iOS emulation that i try so hard to stay away from.

I installed Nova launcher as a workaround, probably going to keep Hydrogen OS as I read everywhere it's more responsive than Oxygen OS. The unlock button is blazing fast!
I still can't figure out where to find whether or not the phone is encrypted though.

It works fine for me (on the ROM I pulled it out of at least). It really is that small. OP3T is a 64bit device, I'm not sure whether that matters for apps since they're Java, but that's my first thought about it not working.

Battery seems fine to me, similar to Android 9 so far. But it's too early to make any conclusion, we'll have to wait a few days of use to see how it goes.
Edit : one has to enable the new gestures. They fill very natural after a few seconds, and free the space that used to be taken by the navigation bar.

Anyone having issues with the echos with voice calls or lag/sluggishness like mentioned in the following thread?

I have problem with podcast addict, pause resume lag is to big about 10s (when I press key on my Sony headphones) when on mobile data (streaming). Also eq doesn't work in this app.

Correct.
The one issue I have with Android 10, is the GCam ports don't work so well. Black.rider's 6.2 seems not to save any pictures, or to freeze a lot. 7.2 are also quite unstable, I'm still looking for a good one.

Thx. It won't save any picture. Do you use particular settings or a config? The list of provided config files don't have one specific for Nokia 7.* phones.
I'm actually happy I decided not to update yet. Seems Nokia didn't work out all the bugs. My worry now is how long it will be until they fix these bugs.

Got the OTA update about two days ago, and it basically killed my WiFi and Bluetooth radios. They work, sort of, but my main router WiFi cannot connect, and Bluetooth audio skips for no real reason. I even did a factory reset to try and correct this with the OTA update file out there, but essentially it didn't fix my issue, and now I'm pretty upset that I did that.
Anyone know how I can downgrade back to Pie so I can at least connect to WiFi and get all my apps back quickly?
Upgraded. No real issues at all. Slightly decreased battery life for first two days then fine. All my hardware and software work 100% no problems.
I connect to multiple Bluetooth device regularly in the car and on bicycle rides. No issues with Garmin. No issues with anything.

Yes, I had an issue with voicemail couple of times. There have been lags too. Bit disappointed. Had similar experience when upgraded to pie from nogut last year on a different device.
