Haptic Feedback for Entire Screen? - Verizon Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Can someone tell me definitively:
A.) Did any version of the Note 4 on any ROM ever have haptic feedback for all touchscreen interactions (as opposed to just the keyboard/menu/back keys)?
B.) If so, is it still working in Marshmallow?
My N910V barely, and I mean barely has any feedback on the Keyboard, Menu( task list) and Back keys.
Yep, settings are enabled/cranked. No power-saving, etc.
Call vibrate and unlock vibrate are normal.
Thanks.

haptic feedback

hi,
I recently turned off haptic feed back, and I am now having a issue with turning it back on.
Turning haptic feedback in the Sounds and Display options worked fine, but when I added the option to enable "vibrate when typing" in the Keyboard Input options, they did not.
Now when I type, I don't get any vibration, I only get vibration from the soft key buttons at the bottom of my EVO.
Anyone have this issue? i did try a recovery and reset already.
Anyone have suggestions?
hmmm, not sure if it will work, but try calibrating in the keyboard menu. If that doesn't work possibly reset to factory calibration?
Im just guessing if you cant tell
Yeah, sadly I did that, no luck.
I hear the vibration motor making a tiny click sound at best, like the software just isn't pushing it.
Otherwise the vibration works fine when making a call, on silent, using the soft buttons.
Weird..some sort of software issue i guess.
I assume it feels completely dead, like when you turn it off the 4 main buttons? Mine is not very powerful but I can still feel some vibration.
well oddly, the 4 main buttons, while it's "smooth and subtle" you do feel the vibration no problem.
but if you do texting or dial a number, sometimes you feel it, its on and off and weak at best..I thought at first it was the vibration from the speaker really.
Maybe mine is dying? but it vibrates fairly hard when you power on or get a text.
ehh, I don't know. I think it may be normal, however I have never used your phone. If it is not completely dead, it might be normal. I get it where when I start typing fast, it does not always feel like it vibrates, and sometimes I get a tick noise as you mentioned. Nonetheless, if it bothers you then you may want to take it to where you bought it or try to compare with one in store?
Sorry I can't help more

[Q] Hardware softkeys haptic feedback not working after CM7 install

I've checked the Settings>Sounds menu as well as the Cyanogenmod Settings>Input menus (as well as every other menu) and I can't find any way to get the haptic feedback back on the hardware softkeys on the phone's body. I am getting haptic feedback for everything else. Is this an issue with CM7? I can't find any other threads about this... everyone else seems to be trying to turn it off...

[Q] Disable lockscreen vibration?

Main question: Is there a way to stop the lockscreen from vibrating when I slide to unlock (without disabling all of the haptic feedback on the phone)?
One of the things that has bugged me about --MIUI, Evo, Android, whatever the actual culprit may be-- is that unlocking the phone is laggy. I decided to try something....I disabled the haptic feedback. It magically made unlocking the phone less laggy! It is probably because of the delay between unlocking and vibrating. But I like the haptic feedback for the 4 buttons (otherwise I don't always know if I pressed them or not), so I want to keep that enabled.

Disable Haptic feedback of home screen buttons

Does anyone know how to disable the haptic feedback (vibration) of the buttons on the bottom of the phone, ie the home, back & recent apps buttons?
(The setting under keyboard only disables the haptic feedback when you type).

Click to collapse
Go to Settings - Sound - Vibrate feeback. Make sure it is not ticked.

[sm-t211] Enabling button haptic feedback?

My device is the 7" sm-t211.
Can you guys tell me is there is an app for enabling the vibration and light of the back and menu button on the device?
I cannot seem to find it in the settings app. Also flashed rooted stock firmware with odin, not sure if that made the setting disappear, didn't check it before.
Back and Menu button is working, it's just there's no light, and vibration feedback.

there isnt suppoesd to be i believe, even for 8 or the 10
There's a vibration motor inside this 7.0 tab for phone calls, notifications, etc.
I'm sure we can enable vibration feedback for both of those keys with softmod.
but I'm not sure where to start.
as for the backlit, forget it, it's hardware limitation.
Update : tried to modify qwerty.kl in system/usr folder, but no dice.
somebody tried?
