sound problem lineage os pie on land device - LineageOS Questions & Answers

Hello everybody, I need some help with a problem which can t solve. I use lineage os for long time on my redmi 3s (land) and since from switching from oreo to pie, I have a annoying problem. The in call sound, in a phone conversation, is way too high, and its not about the volume steps. If volume is set to maximum from volume key the sound distorted.
So I did some research and I find out that solving this problem need to manualy edit some lines in the file mixer_paths.xml. But I can t find this file, I have two files alike, mixer_paths_qrd_sku.xml and sound_trigger_mixer_paths.xml. What to do?
And, to mention that this problem appears on every pie rom based on lineage i ve tried.
Thank You!

Really low MIC volume

Hi there!
I don't think anyone else addressed the issue yet.
The problem occurs when I'm using any custom ROM - it's there both on Lineage and RR. (that's why I don't really know if it's the right section to post this on).
All I'm asking - is there any way to increase the mic volume, preferably systemless? Magisk's Audio Mic Fix doesn't seem to work and I don't think I want to tamper with system/etc/mixer_paths.xml by myself.
Thanks in advance
@edit: Just checked it - mixer_paths.xml in stock and in RR rom are identical

[Help] Disable ascending ringtone on Oreo

Hello, guys!
This is my first post on the forum, tho I've been consulting since the Motorola D3 days. I need a little help here, I've just flashed stock Oreo from rafikowy (thank you very much) and rooted with magisk from rafikowy as well (thanks again). I want to know if there's a way to disable the annoying increasing ringtone, I couldn't find the audio_ext_speaker.conf file in /system/etc, so Iv'e tried deleting /system/vendor/etc/audio_ext_speaker.conf but It restores on reboot, I'm missing a lot of notifications from this issue, and I know I could just change my notification tone, but I really like mine so... Any advice is appreciated.

[FIX] [AOSP] Improve audio recording in video and calls

After devs changed fluencetype to fluence in build.prop for low incall volume, noise cancellation is so agressive. This fix solve distortion that you can find in your recordings.
- Tested in firmware 9.5.30
- Tested in Pixel Experience CAF and Vortex
Instructions:
- Download NoiseSuppresionMod.zip
- Reboot to recovery
- Flash NoiseSuppresionMod.zip
- Reboot to system
It MAYBE works in MIUI.
If devs want to fix it in their ROMs, they need to replace audio_platform_info and mixer_paths in /vendor/etc
Thanks to @Zile995 . He solved it in mido and helped me to do it in lavender.
Also, thanks to @letsmakecakes. He helped me to make flashable zip.

whats this for?
Wish I had this a couple of weeks ago when I was at Primavera Sound festival! All the audio of the videos i recorded was terrible :/
Anyway, can anyone confirm this works on stock (rooted) MIUI? Thanks!
I flashed it but have yet to test it. Before flashing this I made a phone call and I could barely hear the person on the phone. That's odd because my hearing is amazing.
Thanks for the amazing work!! Nothing try in miui stock?

Hello to all,
Thank you for your work.
Someone knows if on Lineage Rom it works this patch?
Thank you in advance.
Thanks for the mod, it's working on Lineage but the recorded audio is quite low in terms of volume.
If it could be possible to increase it a little bit at least it would be perfect, thanks again!
Hello, i got some questions about this patch:
1. Do i need to root my device to apply it (flash it)?
2. Someone already tried on a Stock ROM with MIUI?
3. Sorry for asking this but, can someone explain thoroughly the process for applying this kind of fixes/patches?
Thank you friends.

Not necessarily, but you have to unlock it in order to have a custom recovery
2. Someone already tried on a Stock ROM with MIUI?
Not that I know of

It's in the OP, as I already said you must have a custom recovery which means unlocked bootloader
Thank you friends.

@danielh1402 could make the previous file available, named lavender-aosp-audio-fix.zip This new file didn't work, but the old one worked. thank you!
Which exact changes were made on the mixer_paths and audio_platform_info files?
I'm trying to fix a similar audio issue on my Mi 9 SE, if you could tell me the changes it may help me a lot.
Thanks.

On Pixel Experience Official this is stoping the video (and sometimes closing the camera) while recording. How do i do to uninstall it?
On Pixel Experience doesn't work, the recorded audio is still awful. And mostly it stops the video recording.
Yesterday I was watching a video recorded with the smartphone and I noticed that the microphones are very sensitive.. maybe they're simply bad adjusted and all we need to do is to lower the gain a little bit.. I don't know. Still hoping for a V2 for this mod.
Tried on Havoc OS. Everything became much worse after flashing this "improvement", nobody could make out what I was saying.
As factory reset did not work and there is no option to uninstall the mod I had to do flashing of a new os with dalvik, cashe and data wiping.
So be aware!
Thanks! This mod work fine in Lineage OS 16 for Redmi Note 6 Pro. The mic volume was very low. Now is great.
Not working in Havoc 3.4. Made the situation worse. No option to uninstall it.
Doing reinstall of entire ROM now.

xt-1922-9 no sound from speaker, tried all custom rom and cannot flash stock rom, HELP PLEASE!

I tried all custom roms possible and no one have sound, only with earphones.
I'm pretty sure it's note mo phone defective because was working before and didnt drop on the floor.
Any help would be immensely appreciated.
Thanks.
I have the same phone and have discovered the same problem after flashing any of the Android 11 custom ROM. No sound from speaker/ringer/media (except headphone jack). I found one suggested solution here, the last reply to the AOSPK ROM thread. The solution was to place 4 files into vendor/etc. I tried that and sure enough I got sound back with those ROMs but it broke the phone call function, couldn't make calls, dialers just ended call as soon as I tried to connect. Maybe this will work for someone else. Maybe someone else has a better solution. I'll try just replacing one file at a time and see if I can figure it out. If you find a solution let us know.

Oh and the easiest way to get back to stock is to use the Motorola Rescue assistant tool here. Just put your phone into bootloader mode and the Motorola tool will detect the phone, download the latest stock firmware and restore the phone.
Okay, I found the fix. From stock I installed AOSPExtended ROM from the Moto G6 Play forum. Initially everything seemed to work but no audio.
The fix reported in my last post, linked to the Telegram group was:
"For sound, add these 4 files to vendor/etc"
mixer_paths.xml
audio_platform_info.xml
audio_platform_info_jeter_p0.xml
mixer_paths_jeter_p0.xml
"
Copying all 4 files caused audio to work but cell calling broke.
Copy only the first 2 files without 'jeter_p0' in the name and audio was fixed and nothing else broke. Happy now. I assume this will fix the same problem with all the Android 11 roms I installed that caused this problem.

Hi, friend.
I tried your solution, but it did not work on my phone, jeter xt-1922-9, i flashed pixel experience plus or lineage os 18.1, no one working on audio. no sound incoming call, no sound on youtube video.

No sound during calls in Lineage OS 16 (for Galaxy Note 3)

Greetings!
I am fairly new to rooting and I just rooted my first phone (yay!). However, there seems to be a problem with the call. There is no sound during call at all (including the dialing tone). I tried every fix I could find, including changing "persist.vendor.audio.fluence.voicecall=false" and "ro.vendor.audio.sdk.fluencetype=none". The problem isn't fixed. I was hoping if anyone can tell me what I should do. Btw my LineageOS version is 16.0-20190621-UNOFFICIAL-hlte and android version is 9.
