Myth was screens will be flat
S20 will be almost flat then up to s20 ultra will gradually be more curved(but still less cirved than s10)

Shame, only one thing worst than a curved screen. A curved narrow screen.

I agree 100% - bout time for Samsung to dump that POS curved screen.

Tempered glass would be so much better with a flat screen.

Also a shame that Samsung still hasn't implemented a true high secure face unlock system camera in place. I guess it would have made the notch bigger.

THey're not going to do that until they can put the sensors and cameras under the screen. Otherwise they're going to have a notch like iPhones. Hence under screen fingerprint sensor.
Werid, I love the curved screen. I liked it better on the edge models back in the day. I'm extremely disappointed in the trend to flatten it out.

I dont see a difference in curve between the s20 models. I do wish they were completely flat though. I hate curved screens, but this screen will be not that bad.

The S3 is not curved, the nexus phones are. To the best of my knowledge, the note 2is not curved as well. Lay it down face first on a flat surface and see for yourself.
I've read a few comments that suggested removing the protective film on the lens of the note 3. I have tried to remove it on my T-Mobile Note 3 and I cannot so I'm thinking that it might not be present. I can't even see or detect one at all and I am scared that I might scratch the lens if I keep trying. Have any owners of the T Mobile Note 3 successfully removed a protective film from their camera lens?
there was a protector on my voda note 3
Is it noticeable? My lens seems crystal clear and I cannot see or feel the edges of any material over the lens. Maybe it's only on certain carrier versions?

yes, i got it on both of my NOTE 3
probably some one was using that phone for Demo, and removed the protective sticker already
Brand new phone opened by me. I'm almost positive there is no film present. I would like to hear from another T-Mobile user just to be sure.

Fellow T-Mobile N3 owner here. Mine came with a protective film, and I'm gonna hazard a guess that your unit simply didn't come with it.
The film is not completely transparent, nor Space Age-thin, and you'd see: A) a small circle cut in the center of the film through which light could enter the lens uninhibited; and B) a semi-circle of plastic dangling off one of the edges to allow for easy removal -- it's very noticeable upon close examination.
I myself ripped it off after a few days, but now I'm wondering whether I should have left it on. Better safe than sorry, and all that.

Now I'm 100% sure that mine didn't come with it. Strange. Thank you.

Hello guys,
I haven't found any drop tests of N5x, just I found scratch tests and the phone survivals them.
Has your phone ever dropped? How high it was? I just want to know if is it worth to buy a bumber or not. My nex just falled down once from about 0,5 m on the floor and the frame on the screen is a little bit bent, but you can see it only when you are looking very long and close at the phone.
Bests

I've dropped my phone a handful of times but everytime was in a TPU case with tempered glass screen protector. Heights were usually waist high to tile, concrete, carpet. No signs of any damage anywhere.
Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
Probably depends where it falls. I dropped it on a rocky ground from very little height and it cracked, also my camera glass is cracked or scratched too.
I've dropped mine twice. The first time from 4' (1.25 m). The only damage was a small scruff on the top corner. The second time (an hour ago) from 6" (15 cm) and the screen cracked. It all depends on where it hits.

Thank you for your replies.
I think the most dangerous is drop on the screen edge, because forces are spreading on less surface So screen cracks
Okay, so I will buy something to protect my N5x (never used anything on my all phones tho).
What do you think, better to buy Rhino bumper or normal case?
Sent from my Nexus 5X using XDA-Developers mobile app
Protection is must as the plastic on this phone, specially the sides, is very soft and can dent very easily

So i was thinking about Rhino bumper, it looks very stabil.
But I don't know if still camera will protrude out of the bumper, it's also a point I'm looking at because I don't want to have cracked my camera

I've seen the Rhino bumper and even though it's "just" a bumper, it's pretty thick overall. I still prefer a TPU case like a Cruzerlite or Pleson. It keeps the height, width, and thickness to a minimum.

I'd rather choose something what keeps original look of Nexus, something like this case https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0...us+5x+case&dpPl=1&dpID=51g1mxqnCML&ref=plSrch
But not this, something what protects phone and is transparent and keep camera safe from cracking.
Any ideas?

Yup that's the one. Got it back on June 10. Camera does not protrude. The TPU is protecting it so you can lay it flat on the back without worries.

Plastic means it can absorb damage without breaking. If it bends, it bends back to where it was unless it cracks.
Perhaps you're confusing plastic with metal? Metal phones bend and dent easily, and they are permanent.
I've dropped mine a few times in hard tile floor and nothing but minor scuffing on the corner. This device will not break easily, similar to other light plastic devices which have been proven to do well in a fall such as the Galaxy S4.
Just a quick PSA: Dont buy a replacement display from fixez.com. They are used and will have some kind of issue such as unresponsive touchscreen or lines across the screen. The company also wont reimburse you for shipping so you have to pay to return a faulty item they sent you. You have been warned.

If it was a metal phone such as the 6p, it would be bent and the glass probably would crack due to the stress.

Some people have issues with this company (shipping times) but I ordered once from them and it took a little over a week to receive.
Also the first company posted ships world wide.

I have used IQ shields faithfully for a full coverage protector. You get the sides, top, bottom, front and back. The shields come with a lifetime replacement also. I still need mine but I needed a protector after trying whitestone so I bought a zagg at bestbuy. I wish IQ had it out at the time because that would have been my first choice
I use skinomi religiously. I put it on before I even turn phone on lol

I'm currently using Slickwraps Naked matte, as it was 70% off. It's okay, but not as strong as Skinomi, which I normally use.

Well I installed the back film for this product , it's a 7 out 10. For some reason there is a 2mm gap on the left and right side but the top and bottom is right to the chrome edge and correct. It'll do for now. I didn't install the front protector as I'm still using the factory film.
