No. You should have purchased the unlocked version from Motorola if you wanted to do that.

Could one purchase the unlocked version (xt1710-01) and put the verizon (xt1710-02) software on it once unlocked?
Also, if you enable developer options on the Verizon variant, there is a toggle labeled "allow bootloader to be unlocked". It isn't clear whether or not turning this on actually unlocks the bootloader.

Thank you. It needs unlocked BL as I check. Xiaomi unlock seems requiring a 2 days waiting time for the unlock code. is it not possible with Locked BL? someone will collect the phone in the next 2 hours

Download the stock global firmware, go to system update and click menu in the top right and select package it should work from there I've just done it on my mix from global to beta and on my max from beta to global, mix has locked bootloader but max is unlocked it will only flash if the package is right

You can go from global to dev this way, but not the other way around..

If you have a Verizon Pixel 2 XL, then you cannot unlock the bootloader. Pixel 2 XL units purchased direct from Google however can be unlocked. Any P2XL you may want to purchase should have its IMEI run through an IMEI check site to determine which P2XL you have.
