Hey,
does anyone know where you can still get a replacement battery for the 7 which supports quick charging (vooc)?
Oppo doesn't seem to sell them since 2018 and I ordered a third party battery around 2018 which allegedly supported quick charging but didn't in the end.
I'd need a new battery soon since the original one I'm still using more or less reached the end of its days since it's dead after a few hours of usage.
Ive been looking for one for years lol. I got my Find 7 the month they released and im still using the original battery. Im honestly amazed how well this phone was built.
Sadly I dont think there are ever going to be replacements again. even in 2016 it was hard finding replacements. Supposedly you can get one direct from Oppo but they require proof of purchase for the phone which for most people including me is long long gone.
I wrote Oppo UK and they redirected me to iSmash UK for a replacement battery.
They're currently closed due to Corona though.
So..so far no luck.

Under my normal usage, which is very light compared to most, i can easily get 24 hours out of my battery.
After having my phone about 2 weeks, on 5 or so occasions the battery has lost its charge after 2 hours with zero usage. When i see this happening i will restart my phone and it seems to fix the issue however upon rebooting i see a major drop in battery charge. Is this a normal calibration issue or a faulty battery? Do you think i should send it back for a replacement?

How does that answer the question?
The answer, IMO, is no, that is not normal but could be a rogue app, try removing some apps. Also, have you tried a factory reset?
What I try to make clear is that this is yet another battery thread started while so many threads exist.
The Op could use one of the existing threads don't you think?
It doesn't hurt if the Op does a little research first and the question is pretty obvious to my opinion.

I have looked through a couple hundred pages of battery threads. While i have seen a handfull of pictures of battery power cliffs like mine, none have seen responses that i could tell. I also posted in the "Battery Stats" thread to no avail. So after my do diligence, i started yet another battery thread.
I have not tried a factory reset. Maybe i'll give that a go.
Well, if you couldn't find it you are probably the only one and because of that
your conclusion could be that it isn't normal.
Your question is to obvious to my opinion, it doesn't make sense.

Well starting another thread... You could argue with the fact that he did his "due diligence".
Posting in an existing thread usually means 73,4% less views on a question asked. (Due to ppl know that thread and ignoring it, and means just ppl that are subscribed to it "might" reply) You could argue that he will get ppl that know more about the issue so the answers might be spot on. But as he stated he searched, so the "spot on" ppl might not be existing.
What he did "wrong" was post this in the general section even though this is a question.
However general section topics get 27,9% more views as Q&A and posting this in the General section and getting moved to Q&A after from a mod gives you 85,2% move views. So you have to admire his intelligence and cunning thinking.
So I don't get deleted as OT. @OP batteries do sometimes the craziest things . I wouldn't suspect a rogue app, rather then it didn't charge completely? Reported wrong. Try to use one charger for one week and another charging method for another week.
PS: the percentages are random numbers that popped into my head
It all depends how people respect the forum rules and other members I ques.
Of course the numbers are just random but imagine people should do a little digging/reading first,
and not open a thread for every small issue they are having?
Imagine how clean the board would be, don't you think people would look in that thread 'about the battery'?
Threads like this 80% (that's also just random but about correct I ques) end up in flaming and that's why I don't like them.
Maybe I look like a hard head to you but I'm a member for about 8 years and this trend started the last 2/3 years.
If people respect each other a little bit more, discussions like this wouldn't exist and the board contained a lot more relevant stuff making it easier for you and me to find what we are searching for.

I actually have done this already.
Week one was on my old HTC charger, and this same thing happened every couple days. For about the last week i have been using my new HTC charger as i sold the other phone and it's still happening.
I guess my extremely obvious question is still leaning to the completely obvious replacement of the device.
Thanks for the help.

Not sure what I am quoting now. But wanted to say about the trend. For what I see (and yeah you have 2 years on me ) .Is xda-developers becoming xda-bugranters xda-brandranters. Instead of bug reports and fixes. You get 90% of posts how bad we are treated from brand X how brand Y is better.
I don't need to even check the jellybean ota thread or 4.0.4 thread. As there is literally no relevant info.
Before I could check the forums and see: hey a new ota. Now I see : hey a new ota, oh wait old thread full with ranting.

Well you can try to use USB charging . Also do the factory reset as they might ask you about it in the service center.
Better to come and say you tried it, so they can rule it out and not just give it to you back with "new fw, factory reset"
I do not think they will use the phone and test how the usage is in time and if the battery isn't reporting anything abnormal.
Btw you did the *#*#4636#*#* and checked the Battery Info right?

There is nothing there and I want to ask opinions about the Samsung Flip Cover. I can start this thread here but I cannot post to an empty subheading that is completely empty!
Let's start talking about accessories
These forums are in the process of being seperated by carriers so it could be server or user error, with the additional possibility of this happening because of the separation of forums... There is a possibility that these forums may reek havoc until everything is separated...
Thanks for the reply. I hope that the accessories do not get split off. Since all the carriers have the same phone, the accessories will all be the same.

To help you with WHAT?!? You made 13 posts in XDA forum, every single one about Onite product, and I know you from before posting about your onite company you WORK for. Please, stop this nonsense. If you want free advertisement, at least be HONEST about it, don't make these tricky posts asking these questions.

About what? When you click on any user name it gives you an option to View Forum posts made by that user. Click on OP user name, and you will see what I'm talking about. Those spammers from Onite flooded Note 2 and other phone sections of XDA. Beside making these one-line posts with a link, they also spam other posts with replies. A number of these onite guys has been deleted/banned from XDA... I'm not even getting into a discussion about them using cheap rebranded HK batteries and a lot of posts in XDA about people in the past peeling the label off the battery to find a lower capacity. Hopefully, after enough of negative feedback they fixed that.
I'm not XDA police. Anybody is free to make their post in the forum as long as they are not violating forum rules. Then, people how used this product will reply with their feedback and comments. But posting the same thing over and over again, is getting old.
Hey guys, recently bought a new HTC 10 that was sealed in the box from eBay. It came on Nougat, software version 2.22.400.13. When I check for updates, it says none are available. Any ideas?

He isnt rude, there are several users here paying attention to many different threads throughout the days, you can imagine it's a little frustrating to open 2 or even more different threads and the same user with the same question pops up every time.......just let it sink and think about that for just a second or 2.
Do not blame the people who help you for not paying attention, that's an insult if you ask me, you didn't get your answer AFTER you posted in another thread, you got "a" answer because you posted, you would have gotten the answer here.......if you waited long enough, maybe you aren't aware of the next :
Xda is NOT a payed help desk with 24/7 instant help, it's a DEVELOPERS website which has grown to a large platform.
You as a user opened a Q&A so therefore i would say to give it time and get a response without posting in other threads.
Cheers

He wasn't being rude, it's actually a rule here on XDA. Here are the forum rules. You should read them.
Here's an excerpt:

Bought mine 2019-12 . few days ago (2020-03-30) warp charge stopped working, it still charged, but extremely slow like 40 percent an hour. When it was off i tried plugging in charger, but it started looping, it didn't boot to an animated picture with charging battery, but it still could boot into OS when power button was pressed. Did a factory reset, didn't help. Connecting to pc usb still recognizes it. Had a feeling it was a hardware error. Maybe fast charging module went bad.
Sent it for a warranty repair, got an answer that it will take more time because it was sent for an higher level service. I guess it's quite bad, it could be a motherboard fault.
I read on oneplus forums that quite a few people has a same issue. Just wondering if it is a common issue with 7t model. I'm a bit worried that OP 7t could have hardware reliability issues. i had like 4 smartphones starting with SAMSUNG GALAXY S1, none were faulty or had any hardware issues. Am i being paranoid? Should we be paranoid? Mine was in mint condition, zero falls, equipped with tempered glass and oneplus original case. Wondering if any of you had any issues with warp charge? What are your thoughts on this?
