To help you with WHAT?!? You made 13 posts in XDA forum, every single one about Onite product, and I know you from before posting about your onite company you WORK for. Please, stop this nonsense. If you want free advertisement, at least be HONEST about it, don't make these tricky posts asking these questions.
Btw, for a choice of quality external high capacity batteries, I have an extensive review list in here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2192333

About what? When you click on any user name it gives you an option to View Forum posts made by that user. Click on OP user name, and you will see what I'm talking about. Those spammers from Onite flooded Note 2 and other phone sections of XDA. Beside making these one-line posts with a link, they also spam other posts with replies. A number of these onite guys has been deleted/banned from XDA... I'm not even getting into a discussion about them using cheap rebranded HK batteries and a lot of posts in XDA about people in the past peeling the label off the battery to find a lower capacity. Hopefully, after enough of negative feedback they fixed that.
I'm not XDA police. Anybody is free to make their post in the forum as long as they are not violating forum rules. Then, people how used this product will reply with their feedback and comments. But posting the same thing over and over again, is getting old.

need moderator??!!

i think the diamond section is in a great need of one/one more moderator.
there are posts to be moved and posts to be trashed. i also suggest that besides diamond, diamond rom development and diamond accessories to add a diamond trash where to be able to move all the "does the diamond have a led?" threads.
taking this job and responsibility it will be my way of saying "thank you" to this forum.
shameless self promotion?
I want to be a mod, but i dont have a diamond but im online most of the time or at least an hour a day here in xda-dev. Im just saying if anyone is considering.

Moderators are only part of the solution.
Every registered user has the ability to report posts/threads to the enitre moderation team. Use the little triangle with the ! in it.
This is alo a good way to make us aware of forums where there is a true need for additional Mods.

just asking,not insulting
and as i could see the idea wasn't promoted by a mod...so does anyone ask them about it

Well maybe I am too conflicting and not a conformist. Who knows . All I do is help all , run a ftp , write reviews on all roms i test trying to cover them all and hopefully will aquire some other phones to test more roms in other areas on ....
well when we are speaking about mods...one question...there are forums that don't count posts in off topic threads...should you do it here
i mean lots of guys got their posts by complaining about wifes, husbands, what music they listen to,writing jokes....this isn't fair...first time i went to off topic and posted was yesterday...other 100 posts were kinda help to others...artemis,atom,hermes and magician forums...because i have the devices, and i test everything and give review and help
well the number of posts isn't too important, but is something that is watched when e.g. giving apps and roms to beta testers...they give it to guys with most posts...which they gained in off topic...so there is no real knowledge and developer creativity in them
one more thing...would it be good to make these "thanks" buttons like those guys on pdaviet have...so we don't get lost in thanking, but get to the piont....would it require changing vBulletin
lol...i prob wouldnt come close to qualifying...

Recommended Extended Battery for SGS2

Hey everyone. I know there has been a lot of battery threads here already but they are specifically for a particular brand
In this post, I would like to know which of them actually works after testing. If you could give a link to purchase them, that would be great.
Thanks!
For me this is a trash thread and must be closed.
chobie you should look into the threads for each battery.
Don't be bored, you will find the answers.
The other threads are actually misleading. They say their review of a particular product but then other batteries are reviewed in their as well. I'm helping out as well to lessen the confusion. If there was a general extended battery thread, then I wont be starting this.
The thing is, that in the thread you just opened, you are asking a question instead of lessening the confusion, because everyone will start writing their stuff once again.
A member or a moderator should take the courage and open such a thread, but it needs work to summarize all the conclusions written all over the accessories section.
That's in my opinion, what must be done.
Asking which works is totally different from asking which is compatible. That's why I specified a criteria on which to recommend after testing. Jeeehzuz
Why did u open a new thread. There is already a thread which has different battery details. You fid not even cared to search before you posted it. Did u ?

[Admin/ MODS]More credibility for User with Quality posts

Why are you judging members by their post count?
For lack of a better alternative. I challenge anyone to come up with a better alternative, and share it with us. Over the years we have seen the impact the cluttering up of developmental fora had on the amount of energy needed to keep threads in shape or visible. This wasn't productive at all. We get that people might have experience from other fora and think this is a little over the top for them, but there are rarely any developers amongst the people that want to create new threads. There are a few people with a genuine need to post a thread in the developmental fora (developers), these people can contact a moderator to help them get sorted.

I am an experienced Unix and Android user who has been on XDA for more than year. Then why less than 10 posts? I never needed to post, if i had questions i would search and get the answers. the problem began when i had to post in dev sections for questions or answers relating a particular roms.
i do understand why the limit exist and off-course u cant look into someone's eye and determine if he really is a spammer or an experienced dev.
So i came up with an alternative. the number 10 is fine . but it should be 10 posts + thanks + recomendations. Meaning... if i am a new registered user but an experienced dev. to get my 10 beers i would have to post usefull answers which would count as posts, but if someone clicks thanks it should could towards my 10 beers since it was a useful post. There should also be a "recommend me" button for all below 10 post users. where if other users recommend me for the 10+ group it counts to my 10 beers. So i could be allowed to post in dev section if i havw only 2 posts where i have been thanked by 5 users and recomended by 3 users. (5 +2+3) = 10 beers.... Let me know what you guys think
Promotions
This same logic can be used for promoting from Jr. Member to Member to Sr Member and so on.
you know i am a senior Member if i have only 20 posts but 80 people have THANKED them? just that unlike above recommendations wont exist here.
EDITED for better clarification:
I agree that it is easy to get the 10 posts. what my second part of the thread is that. we should consider giving credibility to folks who post better quality of posts which are actually quite helpful. please bear in mind that i am not trying to say that we should combine posts and thanks... what i am saying is a person who posted 80 posted and got 40 thanks for the same deserves more credibility than the user who posts 100 posts with no thanks at all. and that since the prior user has better quality of posts we should consider promoting him to Sr Member. (giving credibility for the quality of him posts.)

It isn't difficult to get to ten posts. This is a community, not a support forum. We want to encourage members to participate here in order to join the community. That as well as a way to combat spam are the reasons behind the ten post rule.
I understand what you are saying, but it's pretty easy to get 10 posts. I mean I have been here for about a month and I have over 100 posts. Doesn't take long at all, all I do is reply to questions that I can answer and hopefully help with. It's one way I can help here because I am still working on developing and no where near as talented as some of the folks on here.
While its pretty easy to get ten posts its also pretty easy for us to catch the people who go about it the wrong way and show them the error of their ways.

What about the promotions part of my essay? Again it may be easy to get 100 posts too, but hey... would'nt it be awarding to promote a user to Sr Member at 90 posts (plus considerable number of THANKS) because his 90 were better than the other users 100 post?

Thanks count should remain separate from post count. The titles need reworking anyway, but your idea isn't half bad. Try raising the idea in the requests thread sticky.
Explain my post count , yes it's easy to get 10 posts
Herpderp Defy.
It may be easy to get the requisite 10 posts, but I still think his idea deserves consideration.
Though you'd really want a weighting system of some kind. For example, 1 post with 5 'thanks' counts as 2 posts, but with 10 'thanks' it counts as 4 posts. I don't know, something along those lines.

There is no reason to have the thanks count towards your posts. I'm in favor of it counting towards the meaningless titles that appear under your names, but that about it. It's really not that hard to get ten posts. I can't understand why you guys make it seem like the end of the world...

Maybe saying they should count as posts wasn't the right word, but having some kind of 'credibility' rating based on some weighted ratio of thanks to posts could certainly be a useful metric to determine someones ability to post in a restricted space.
I'd much rather have someone with 5 posts that has been thanked 30 times be allowed in a restricted section, over someone with 5000 posts and 30 thanks.
Of course, that all assumes people appropriately use the thanks system, so yeah.
I can't understand why people jump to hyperbole and assume some kind of personal attack is meant when others are merely attempting to discuss a topic of interest on a public forum. Weird, right?

The bottom line here is that we want members to actively involve themselves in the community, gaining ten proper posts is a good way to encourage this.
Theres also the issue of the thanks meter being essentially meaningless as someone could make two posts in off topic and easily gain ten thanks. (They'll thank anything in there )
I don't foresee a change to this rule anytime soon but I dare say that if changes are considered further down the line then this will probably come up for discussion.

Once again, there is no reason to combine the thanks by any means into post count. I know what you are suggesting, but it isn't a good idea. weighting post count by means of thanks is opening the doors that were just closed for more spam. Why do you guys not see how simple it is to gain ten posts? Why would you not want to be a part of this community? That's what it's all about.
Also, I did not personally attack you at any point during either response, nor did I take your posts as attacks. Just because I point out flaws in your idea doesn't mean I dislike you as a person, just your one, singular idea by itself. Please remain civil.
While I understand what you're saying, I don't think it's fair to judge a member on other members' use of the thanks button. You still see plenty of people actually posting "thanks", and not clicking it.
This can't be quanitified so it would be unfair.

The problem with that is only that the titles under the names are as meaningless as the thanks count. Just because it says Senior Member, that doesn't really get you any new amount of respect or anything. It doesn't let you post in any new forums. It's just a title change.
We've long argued for a better title system here. We've also long been ignored on it. We've previously stated that this system that you are proposing is very much open to excessive abuse. The other thing is that simply making someone a Senior Member has absolutely no benefits whatsoever.

I agree. At 35xx posts They should call you the same as what they would name a person with 100 posts. the title system certainly need a big revamp.

Really?
Why not just find a reliable website that already does that?
This forum is about development. Some members do post their own reviews of things, but that's down to them and not what the forum is about. As eliteknightz3 said, you'd be better off just looking at review sites.
There no much websites that give bad reviews mostlly try to market the phone

Don't we have that alread?
If I bought a phone I most time checked out xda and other websites and read about other peoples thoughts....
It's quite easy to finy out pros and cons if u just head to the device section.
Often u can find such information as many people discuss the device they own.
Ofc it's not as easyas a one click solution - and it doesn't work for very new phnoes since the anticipation is quite low then.
Anyway what we rather need it a propper wiki - wich also could handle such information. And wich is even more important - people who are willing to write it down....
So u can list all kinds of thing in a wiki:
- pros, cons
- device hardware
- problems / solutions
and many more
But sadly the wiki pages are not up to date atm and many devices are even missing...

Find 7 Replacement Battery

Hey,
does anyone know where you can still get a replacement battery for the 7 which supports quick charging (vooc)?
Oppo doesn't seem to sell them since 2018 and I ordered a third party battery around 2018 which allegedly supported quick charging but didn't in the end.
I'd need a new battery soon since the original one I'm still using more or less reached the end of its days since it's dead after a few hours of usage.
Ive been looking for one for years lol. I got my Find 7 the month they released and im still using the original battery. Im honestly amazed how well this phone was built.
Sadly I dont think there are ever going to be replacements again. even in 2016 it was hard finding replacements. Supposedly you can get one direct from Oppo but they require proof of purchase for the phone which for most people including me is long long gone.
I wrote Oppo UK and they redirected me to iSmash UK for a replacement battery.
They're currently closed due to Corona though.
So..so far no luck.
