Cannot setup Dell Mobile Connect on Xiaomi Mi9SE android smartphone - Xiaomi Mi 9 SE Questions & Answers

Hello team!
I was trying to install and setup Dell Mobile Connect app on my android device (Xiaomi Mi 9 SE) but following the on screen instructions although i accepted services running in the background, after i grant permission to notifications too the proccess returns to the step where i have to grant the background service again. As a result an endless loop of granting permissions halts me from completing the setup. Is there a workaround to this problem?

Same here on Mi9 lite latest eu stable

i have the same problem for mi9 global, any solutions you get?

Try this it's also delete mi acc
You have to enter your mi account password which you logged in before (factory reset doesnt remove mi account or google account in non xiaomi phones) this option was introduced to by google to enhance the security. After factory reset you have to enter google account password (non Xiaomi mobiles) or mi account password (for Xiaomi phones)

It is not a big problem.
Write an e-mail to Xiaomi's customer service, and they will restore your account in 7-10 days.

Question regarding CA certificate installation by MobileIron MDM Software on MIUI 10

x-post from miui forum
Hi,
I'm having some issues installing MobileIron MDM on my Mi 6, I'm running MIUI 10 Global 8.9.13 Beta. The installer works and the device is passing all required checks (i.e. device is encrypted, not rooted etc.) and the configuration is starting. But there's one point during the configuration which requires the installation of a certificate. At that point the installer is asking the user to enter a password by pressing and holding the password field for the context menu to paste the password which should be on the Android clipboard (see screenshot) which doesn't work, there is no password on the clipboard. I can use the 'Paste' function but nothing is entered into the password field.
I've done this on other phones and other Android versions before and it has always worked without any issues.
Has anybody of you encountered such a problem before? Copy/Paste generally works in other applications but during the installation the clipboard remains empty (I also tried to paste into a text field in a different application, didn't work).
Has something around the handling of certificate installations and/or access to the clipboard changed in MIUI 10?
Many thanks in advance!
BR,
Thorsten
I was able to fix it today. I've been trouble-shooting this with a Xiaomi Mi 5 and Xiaomi Mi 6 phone on different versions (MIUI 9 and MIUI 10, both global stable and global developer) but I now believe the version doesn't really matter, the "fix" should be applicable to all versions with this issue.
Here's a brief description of what happened -- this might make a bit of a confusing read, but bear with me: During the installation the user gets that notification about “Press paste on the next screen to insert password for the certificate….” but the next screen is not the certificate import (it is most likely a system dialog asking for the regular device PIN but I couldn’t fully test that step).
So there's that dialog where I thought I should paste the certificate password -- the step that repeatedly hadn’t worked. Today I finally used the “forgot password” function. I had tried that before but always cancelled it because the “forgot password” function was just asking for another password – which didn’t make sense to me at that time.
Today I noticed how the “forgot password” function brings up a dialog which contains my MI account number. That made me realize that the FIRST dialog might have actually asked for my device PIN (despite asking for a password) with the second dialog (after the “forgot password”) providing the option to remove the device PIN (or password) by entering the MI account password.
Long story short: I entered my MI account password which kind of “unlocked” the whole (and terrible) “import certifcate, don’t change certificate name, paste password” ordeal. [email protected] is working flawlessly now. It seems there’s some form of MIUI function around the MI account “protecting” the certificate store, that's why that MIUI dialog interfered with the [email protected] installation in an unfortunate and unexpected way.
Good luck to all who run into the same issue.

RN8P blocked with Mi account.

I found a RN8P and is blocked by Mi account, I waited for the go owner to call but nothing. Is there a way I can unblock it so I can reach the owner? I don’t want to spend money on it since it won’t be for me. Any thoughts, ideas, advices?
Here is the instruction, but it is in Russian

I had the same Problem, i buyed a RN8P where the Seller has forgotten his Password from his MI Account. One Day i wiped all Data because the Phone was messed up with unnecessary Programms and Data and after rebooting there comes a black screen and "This Device is locked".
After Weeks of reseaching over the inet and trying multiple Ways and Account Remover, Unlocker, etc. i have found a Solution! You can remove the MI Account from your RN8P by using this Guide to flash a new firmware following this Guide:
UNBRICK BEGONIA NO AUTH
Requirements: 1) PC 2) Internet 3) Patience Windows Method: • Download this file - Click-Here (Download from Telegram) (https://mega.nz/file/A4YSEZaA#0Jk3_jH8uVtMnATciVRtWw2r_SH0NPLq4P6SrGNuwJQ)

Note that is very importand that you do that without connection to the internet! You have to do some additional steps....
First you have to format 3 Partitions on the Phone: Go to the "Format" Area of SP Flash Tool, select "Manual Format" and type
(to format the FRP Partition) Begin Adress "0x5888000", Format Lengh "0x100000"
(to format the MI Account Partition) Begin Adress "0xe188000" Format Lengh "0x4678000"
(to format the userdata Patition) Begin Adress "0x1d2800000" Adress Lengh "0x30000000"
You have to run the "BROM Tool" everytime before you can do one Action with the SP Flash Tool, means before each Format or before each flash. The SP Flash Tool will crash after formatting each Partition but thats not bad, just restart, run the BROM Tool and continue. After you have formatted these 3 partitions you can flash a firmware of your choice.
After flashing turn your phone on (dont insert a SIM Card or connect it with Wlan to the Internet!), go to the main options and disable any automatic update you can find! Such as automatic Firmware or App Updates. You have to deinstall or deactivate every original Xiaumi App just to be sure. I also deactivated some Certificates from Companies but you should be very careful with this.
Why you have to deactivate those Xiaomi Apps and automatic Updates?
The Xiaomi FRP Protection is Server hosted, so when you have disabeld the MI Account FRP Protection with the Steps above, some Apps on your Phone could call Xiaomi Servers and automatically sends the Serial Number (not the IMEI, i mean the Serial Number you see with the fastboot command "fastboot devices") home and the Xiaomi Servers tell back that its a "blacklistet Device" and it will go in locked state again. So you have to do everything again.
I hope i could help some of you guys who have the same problem like me. Unforgently xiaomi support doesn't help people (regardless wich problem). Please excuse my English, i'm not a native speaker, if you have further questions or other issues, please feel free to ask!
If you have Problems tonuse the "BROM-Tool" please note that you have to install TWO Device filters for mediatek devices!
hi i tried this and i downgrade it bypas mi account and enter the systemand seems to be ok but when connect internet and phone licking again in mi account. what can i do to?

Question App not installed due to package conflict error

After updating my phone to realme ui 3.0, the existing realme dialer stopped working. It was showing popup to provide phone permission even after all the permissions are enabled, so I uninstalled it.
Now when I am trying to install new realme dialer, it is not getting installed and showing 'app not installed due to package conflicts with existing package' error.
Any solution to the problem? (P.s. my phone is not rooted)

Question ONEPLUS 9 PRO Backlight OFF

Hi all,
I'm trying to use SecondScreen app ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...screen-mirroring-for-android-devices.2766268/ ) on my Oneplus 9 PRO but this feature it seems doesn't work....
I have asked to releaser and he told me that he would need to know the "sysfs path for turning off the OnePlus 9 Pro's backlight" but I'm not able to find it...
Is there anyone knows this path ?
If so, I could tell it to the releaser and he could add this info into its app by an update...
Many thanks to all !
The SecondScreen app is designed to work with devices that have a secondary display, and unfortunately, the OnePlus 9 Pro does not have a secondary display. However, if you still want to use the SecondScreen app on your OnePlus 9 Pro, you can try the following steps:
Download and install the SecondScreen app from the Google Play Store.
Go to Settings > Developer options on your OnePlus 9 Pro and enable USB debugging.
Connect your OnePlus 9 Pro to your computer using a USB cable.
Download and install the ADB (Android Debug Bridge) tool on your computer.
Open a command prompt or terminal window on your computer and navigate to the folder where you have installed ADB.
Type the following command and press Enter: adb shell pm grant com.farmerbb.secondscreen.free android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS
Disconnect your OnePlus 9 Pro from your computer.
Open the SecondScreen app on your OnePlus 9 Pro, and you should be able to use its features.
Please note that these steps may not guarantee the SecondScreen app's full functionality on your OnePlus 9 Pro, as the app is primarily designed for devices with secondary displays. However, the above steps will allow you to access the app's features and settings.
