Rate this thread to express how you think the Honor 8's Wifi performs. A higher rating indicates that it has excellent range, throughput, and signal strength. Like when you're taking a dump in the bedroom upstairs, do your videos have to buffer or do they come through without interruption?

Excellent range, picks up my wifi as soon as I pull in range. I pick up service outside myhouse, my garage, downstair, and every corner upstair. I like the wifi+ setup they have going on that manages your wifi settings. Neat feature.

What does this Wi-Fi+ do?!
Wifi... Not working. Haha. I mean, not working AT ALL.
I should be really unlucky and may have received a defective unit. When trying to activate WiFi, it does nothing, then the phone is laggy when trying to move away from the settings screen. Wifi never turns on, I even tried a stock wipe, it did not help.
I think I'll have to send it back to the shop
Wifi reception is very good actually. We have a room in the house that has very poor reception but i can easily watch a 1080p 60fps youtube video with the Honor 8. Something i wasn't able to do before.
very long wifi range on this phone
Excellent wifi reception, connects very fast though
i feel like wifi is not as stroong as it should
Wi-fi seems very good to me
Wifi range is long enough
Wifi is good enough for me. Signal reception is good through close to three brick walled room. After that wifi+ will kick in and switch to mobile data. It's much better than my mom's huawei g8
Wifi is good, but no Wifi-Calling so far. Hopefully there will be future release to fix the wifi calling feature on their part.

It will automatically turn off Wifi and switch to mobile data when there is no known networks. But when you are in coverage of known (saved) networks it will turned on and connect automatically.
I have problems with Wifi. I only have 40 Mbits/s on my 120 Mbits connection. Other devices have 80 or more.
I'm using newest nougat update from 6.02.2017.
Any idea what to do?
Best regards
My WiFi shows only two bars even within the range of less than 1 meter. It happens sometimes. What could be the issue?
The wifi is overall very good but it drains the battery .. so if someone want better battery and SOT he should turn it always of to save the battery
I had problem with Wifi when I was on B131, it tooks forever to connect, on A7 it's okay.
I'm a little bit dissapointed with speed, i think it's slower then other devices same as using LTE connection. (max. 25Mbps, while on O+3 40Mbps).
The strenght of the WiFi signal is good, but the speed is very bad. In 100Mbps WiFi network the Speed test results vary from 40 to 70Mbps.
Got no problems with my 5GHz router.
no signal drop.connct really fast.
On my xperia, the wifi works quite slow if I'm slightly far away from the router (still getting full bars), approximately around 5 meters away and it starts getting slower.
My friends galaxy s6 gets perfect speeds, while mines ends up slowing down, in speed tests the speeds slow down from 10mbps to 1,2mbps.
Is this a known issue or is there some fix??
On latest z5 update 32.3.A.2.33
i Don't actually know solution but my Z5p also have small wifi coverage range makes me to be with router all the time
Hi, if I go to balcony or to living room, both are about 3 to 4metres away from router, the speed drops to almost zero. If I am close to the router, the the download from Google Play is 7MB per sec, on balcony it is slow, 200KB per sec, the signal is there full or almst full. Thanks.
Same, after updating to 7.0 wifi is a bit worse than before. But phone reception signal is better now.
Guys facing a really weard issue with charging my wing. I used a poco 27 w charger and a 30 watt Asus ROG cherger. Both of them works fine when I use it in my office and charges full in about 1.2 hrs....
But the time increase to 4—5 hrs when used at home. I never had that issue with my ROG 2. I have tried all the available sockets at home but getting the same sluggesh speed.
Can some one pls help?
I have a Firestick Gen3 and having a curious issue. When the firestick starts and I run the in-built speed test I get 200 Mbps. That is my fibre connection speed. But 5 mins later the speed cuts down by 1/6th and I get only 20-30 Mbps and everything starts to buffer.
I have tried resetting the stick but doesn't seem to help. On my laptop I constantly hit 200 Mbps so I know it is not the router.
