CSC question - Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Questions & Answers

Hey everyone,
I realize that posts regarding CSC are a dime a dozen, I've searched through a lot but this stuff is somehow really tough to piece together. I rarely post because I normally find everything I need but here goes.
I bought my note 10+ in Slovakia from Orange. The phone's CSC is ORS/ORS,ORS/ORS, which I think is part of the OGC multi CSC. I'm guessing ORS stands for Orange Slovakia. However, I'm using a Telekom SIM card. I'm still waiting for my android 10 update, but I've noticed that Android 10 has already come out for the Telekom Note 10+. The CSC in that rom is TMS (which I think stands for Telekom Slovakia), which is a part of the ODX multi CSC . In the past I would just flash an update from another country, but from what I gather, this is somehow... riskier? nowadays.
So my question is, could I lose warranty if I were to flash that TMS rom? Or is there a possibility that it would mess something up? I figure that that's the rom that is as close to mine as possible ? but I'm not sure. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Hi, i have same Note10+ buyed from Orange Slovakia. I flashed Multi-CSC FW ROM (ORX) from samfirm, but CSC is set to default AUT. For change CSC you must buy 2 credits from samkey.

Vendor Change?

Hye guys, not sure if this has been answered before - I did try and search all around for answers.
I have a note 10 + purchased in Australia - due to the delay in carrier updates I flashed a UK firmware (though the same SM-N975 firmware) for quicker updates.
However now that I have flashed back to my AU firmware - it seems the vendor file has been overridden and is locked possibly. As everytime I install a new firmware the set up screen shows in French until I switch the language to English AU. Once set up everything works fine apart from Samsung Members app - it shows in French which I now believe is due to the vendor file being locked?
Ive tried to odin flash Userdata with the Home CSC and CSC but no luck.
Any insight would help
thank you
Change CSC with Samkey.

When i switched csc from ITL (italian) to THL (Thailand) samsung members changed from italian to Thailand even though i have english(uk) as the only language installed, even samsung pay and some others

No way to debrand?

I've tried to debrand my phone by flashing open market firmware (XEO, Poland). I downloaded the newest version of Odin, flashed it but now my CSC under settings says OPV/OPV, OPV/EUX/OPV. OPV is my carrier's CSC, I'm wondering what that EUX is. I've looked it up on Google and it seems like I'm not alone, seems like Samsung changed something and older methods no longer work. The question is - will I still receive updates released for my carrier or I'm screwed for good? Phone INFO app says my active CSC is OPV. I'm running S20+ 5G (G986B) Exynos variant.
Same problem here, I've flashed it with XEO POLAND G986BXXU1ATBM firmware using Odin3 v3.14.1_3B_PatcheD, few minutes later it showed "PASS" and nothing changed. Same branded firmware after reboot..
It seems, that many more 'branded' CSCs are now part of Multi-CSC. For me, this is DTM (T-Mobile DE). It osed to not be part of multi-CSC but it is now part of OXM.
This means, that you can not force it anymore, as you already ARE having the exact same firmware with the 'branded' CSC. Just checked, OPV is in deed part of OXM now.
In the Ultra Section is a thread showing the CSCs belonging to OXM: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...galaxy-s20-ultra-g988b-firmwares-5g-t4060443/
I have not yet found out / gotten an answer from anybody how to change CSC. Samkey also is not supporting the S20 series ATM - dont know, if this will change.

What I have worked out is that when you flash a multi-CSC firmware file you end running the CSC one letter earlier in the alphabet out of the. Available multi-CSC list
E.g. I had a VOD branded S105G and flashed BTU firmware, and ended up with TEL CSC
I also tried flashing BTU on an H3G branded A70 and ended up with EVF CSC
The original branded product CSC also never changes

Enable Developer mode and set OEM Unlock to ON before trying to change CSC via ODIN Flash
This should not be necessary? Doesn't that trip Knox, despite original Samsung Firmware?

Since now it's part of Multi CSC, does that mean I will receive updates faster? I can see other polish carrier's CSC are listed as single so I assume they are kind of separate firmware, am I right?
Honestly I do not know, if the respective CSC will be getting OTAs at the same time.
However, you can always flash manually with HOME_CSC, that is true.

Enable OEM unlock does not trip Knox. As long as you flash official Samsung firmware files in Odin Knox is never tripped
My own personal experience on S10 and above is you cannot flash a different CSC with OEM Unlock disabled
(Flash completes successfully but CSC doesn't change)
When changing from one e.g. branded csc to multi csc with the S10+, this worked fine without enabling oem unlock. Well, anyway. Flashing OXM multi CSC over OXM multi CSC will not change anything, right?

I found that you have to be on a single CSC before flash to multi-CSC and also you don't always end up on the CSC you expected
e.g. Flash BTU on a VOD product and you end up on TEL CSC (one letter in alphabet below VOD) and not on BTU
did everyone succesed DEBRAND ?
i v got s20 ultra OPV(orange) and need XEO (official)
tak, poprzez samkey
Yes, with samkey
@0kti if you have any credits remain let me know please ( I will buy it )

Debranding Samsung Galaxy S20 5G (SM-G981B) phone

Hi All,
I have read that to debrand a Samsung Galaxy S20 phone (mine is SM-G981B) you can't just do a straight flash with Odin using debranded firmware and that you instead need to first change the CSC using SamKey. However my issue is that the CSC for the carrier my phone is currently on (United Kingdom EE) seems to be the same as debranded firmware (United Kingdom BTU). You can see here: sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-s20/firmware/SM-G981B/BTU they both have the same CSC (G981BOXM1ATCT).
I also came across this guide: samsungsfour.com/tutorials/how-to-install-stock-rom-on-galaxy-s20-s20-plus-s20-ultra-s20-5g.html for debranding, however without any other sources to back it up, I am a bit reluctant to try it out in case it causes any issues.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Mate, all you need to do is change the csc to BTU in order to debrand. EVR and BTU csc are part of the same multi csc, however change your csc to BTU if you do not want any carrier bloatware or boot image etc.
So the only way to debrand is to use samkey? There is not a free/not payed alternative?

Denzel09, you can buy a single SamKey credit on eBay for £2.25 just to let you know. Search for SamKey, sort by cheapest and set "Item Location" to Worldwide.

Question A52s - change CSC by factory reseting with a SIM?

Hi all,
I purchased an A52s 5G (SM-A528B/DS, snapdragon version) last week. I never had a Samsung before so I’m learning now about CSC and such.
I noticed that I don’t have the call recording function even though my country should support it (ILO). As it turns out the device has XSG CSC (I guess it’s a non-official parallel import).
I gathered information around the forums and I’m trying to understand if I can change the CSC by factory reseting and doing the device setup while my ILO SIM card is installed.
Apologies if my questions are stupid and the answer is obvious, but I couldn’t piece it together.
I’m trying to avoid tripping Knox to retain my warranty.
I read somewhere that ILO and XSG are part of the same multi-CSC group (OJM) and that it should work?
I read somewhere else that it no longer works on One UI 3.1/Android 11 versions?
I read somewhere else again that samkey may be a viable solution?
So should I try just by factory resetting the phone? Or try samkey? Or?
Is there any way to change CSC on the fly and avoid having to factory reset the device?
Thanks so much in advance,
Tal
I used to require a SIM to change the CSC but was able to do without it this time.
Doesn't trip Knox. There's a list of countries that details which have call recording built in.

To anyone who might encounter this in the future, My phone was bought trough GoMobile a parallel importer in Israel who didn't have call recordings available although the official one had.
I used SAMKEY in order to change the CSC into "ILO" the Israeli CSC and it worked getting me back the recordings and even had gotten OTA's after it.
I bought an A52s 5G on Amazon UK, and the model that arrived was a Romanian one. I find two things very odd: there is nothing outside the box to indicate that the device is not a UK one (product code would suffice), and when opening the box (which was untampered, as expected) it had a UK plug charger, adding to the fact that the device was destined for the UK market. The back of the device shows a sign for compliance with UK CA standards, and booting it first time, it greeted me in English. However, soon after I figured out the shortcomings and I found that CSC is set to ROM. Factory resetting the phone with a UK sim didn't make much difference however this time the phone greeted me in Romanian. While I've resolved the issue with.. the usual method, I find it dodgy and either the seller went to great lengths to hide the originating country or Samsung is creating these devices targetting Romania but actually making them look British, for.. reasons? Both possibilities are weird.

Did you use it on Galaxy A52s 5G? Which firmware date version did you use to change the CSC?
I wanna go back to my original CSC.

did you succeed? do you have call recording?
For some reason I've never been able to buy a Samsung that used a single sku CSC.
Even with ICCID locked devices they always shipped with the multi-csc/multi-csc2, so I've always been able to use a SIM Card to change out carriers unless the EFS/CSC partitions blocked it partially.
And even in those couple cases, I've always been able to cross-flash carrier firmware for that device to switch networks when need be.
This method even allowed me to use my AT&T locked Galaxy Note5 with T-Mobile Firmware. The only bug was the AT&T Modem's lack of hardware support for all of the TMO network bands.
Other than that. I even bested the Geek Squad at Best Buy...
This method worked on my A32x 5G.

Question CSC Firmware Change

Hi Guys,
I got a F936N which is Korean. I want to change it to OXM since I am in the UAE. 5G is not working on the phone and I got some weird carrier settings for Korea.
I tried using the SamFw_Tool to change it to a CSC and also tried flashing the OXM firmware via patched Odin, it is failing.
One thing to note is that my device has 1 SIM and 1 e-SIM. The devices here in the UAE are 2 physical SIMS. Not sure if that would create a challenge. I just need 1 SIM to work.
Is there anything else I could try?
Thanks.
Bump. I have a OXM CSC tablet that I Want to change to a US CSC
Hi, I have the same issue. I got a F936N which is Korean and I want to change it to OXM as I am in India. Someone please help.
Any work around to use 5G in India ?
