Your PIN is now enabled while at home. To enable it when away from home's cell towers....
14. Long press the "task" you named earlier in step 9(PIN Off) - Add Exit Task - New Task(give it a name, PIN on)
15. Select "+" button again - Plugin - Secure Settings - Edit button

Done! If it ends up not working randomly at home, occassionally go into Tasker, select your saved profile, Scan button(rescans cell towers in your area)
I flashed this and now I have no upper status bar and when I pull down I get nothing. I have tried pulling down from multiple apps. Run X13. Is there a way to revert? It would also be nice to have a way (Power button, widget) to switch between hide and show modes.
Note I have 2 PIEs but none running from the top. I also use a downward gesture to go to apps on Apex Launcher and use DMD gestures as well but not from the top.

It seems like it worked as intended except for when you pull down from the top, you have to pull down from the "tippy top". Try to swipe down from the top at different positions to see what i mean.
Launcher gestures to expand status bar will work and also in PIE i made a button to expand status bar and that's how I use it.
I'll make a revert as soon as I can for those that prefer to go back.

I have tried swiping multiple times, and places and I just can't get it to work. If you had a shortcut or widget to make it pull down that might be handy to just make sure its working period which I really have no way of knowing.
How do I make a button in PIE for it? I tried DMD for hide/show status bar and that did not work - that probably is the overall hide/show function and not the open function.
Update - I setup PIE (LMT) to open Notification Bar and it does not work. So the problem has to be that it is just not working for some reason. Anything I can do to debug it for you? Logcat? Let me know.
Update 2 - Looks like XP14 is going to arrive any second, so you will have to make sure this works on 14 for me to test further. Let me know.

Sorry for the delayed response bud. I just updated it for XP14 and increased the "pull-down" area by almost double so it should pull down a lot better now.
Check out post 2 for how to add button to Expand Notifications in your PIE :good:

I'm confused with your issue. Quick PIN Mod made what setting disappear? Phone can't boot where it hangs at what point?
These MODs should have nothing to do with your issue. Flashing the REVERTs at the end of post 1 will bring you back to square one easily. Let us know.

Need more info...what ROM are you on(just making sure)? Does flashing the revert fix it? "Go into settings" means menu key - android settings? Does it force close or what exactly happens?

Hi I've been trying endlessly to completely hide my pie controls, a.k.a. make them invisible. I'm using lmt v1.99 and when I put 3 in the pie colors menu I am still left with the shortcut icons. How can I get rid of these?
On a side note I've also experienced issues with getting my pie up while the keyboard is up. I toggle the keyboard listener and that works but only for a short period of time.

Yea that seems like it would be a simple solution. I have looked all over this app I Dont see any place to set custom icons. I remember doing this at some point in time but can't remember. Can't you help me navigate to it.

It's written in the OP:
To have custom icons for the pie items create the following folder structure and put your own png images into it: "/sdcard/Android/data/com.android.lmt/files/". The default icons have the size 120x96px but other image sizes should also work (they will be resized). You can define custom icons for every pie item and/or for every action (LMT first tries to load the icon for the pie pos, then the custom icon for the action and will use the default action icon if no other icon is defined). To set custom pie pos icons name the png pie[0-19].png where e.g. “pie0.png” will be the icon for pie item level1, item1, shorpress and “pie1.png” will be the icon for level1, icon1, longpress. To set custom action icons just name the png [actioname].png (see command section in the OP for action names – use lowercase, e.g. back.png). Please restart the TouchService after you changed the icons, so that LMT can recreate the pie.
Thank You. Worked like a charm! Gesture control all the way now.
This should work for any 4.1.2 rom for the note 2 that has a working Xposed installer and MULTI-WINDOW capabilities.
THIS IS FAR FROM PERFECT
I have been wanting to make my device float and resize any app. I didn't put too much effort into it until recently. I finally got the settings down to make this possible.
Please keep in mind some apps (especially stock ones) don't like to be resized so they will almost become unusable if they are resized to small, this is one of many reasons why I previously said that this is far from perfect. On the plus side at least it will let you do ANY app !!!!
I used NEXT LAUNCHER PRO for this cause it supports MULTI-DPI a lot better than TW does, but you don't have to it will still work with TW but it makes some of the drawables look weird.
INSTRUCTIONS:
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO A CWM OR TWRP BACKUP AND VERIFY THE BACKUP WAS DONE PROPERLY BEFORE YOU CONTINUE
1: Install XPOSED INSTALLER V. 2.4 from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
Thanks to @rovo89
2: Install XPOSED APP SETTINGS V. 1.6 from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2072081
Thanks to @Tungstwenty
3: Install XPOSEDMULTIWINDOW240.APK from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2048668
Thanks to @Scalee
Thanks to anyone I may have forgotten
MAKE SURE YOU FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS TO PROPERLY INSTALL THE FRAMEWORK, APPSETTINGS.APK, AND MULTIWINDOW240.APK BEFORE YOU CONTINUE
Once the above are installed and working properly as per the instructions in the OP's of the DEV's mentioned above, you can continue:
At this point REBOOT your phone just to be sure all the installations and settings stuck. Open Multi-Window and add an app to it just to make sure everything works properly so far.
Open the App Settings App in your app drawer, should look like the one in this picture:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Search for and open Android System, should look like the one in this picture:
At the top there is an ON/OFF slider (as seen in picture below), slide to the right to turn ON.
Then, CHANGE the DPI to 240, and the Screen (dp) to 800x1280 (also seen in same picture below).
At the top there is a save button, now is the time to hit that, a pop-up will show that says:
Apply Settings: Also kill the application so when it's relaunched it uses the new settings? Click YES
Immediately press and hold the power button to REBOOT.
After REBOOT open the App Settings App in your app drawer again and search for com.sec.android.app.FlashBarService, should look like the one in this picture:
At the top there is an ON/OFF slider (as seen in picture below), slide to the right to turn ON.
Then, CHANGE the DPI to 240, and the Screen (dp) to 480x854 (also seen in same picture below).
At the top there is a save button, now is the time to hit that, a pop-up will show that says:
Apply Settings: Also kill the application so when it's relaunched it uses the new settings? Click YES
Immediately press and hold the power button to REBOOT.
All done!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now to learn how to succesfully make any app that is added to your FlashBar, FLOATING, RESIZABLE.
Turn on MULTI-WINDOW and INSTEAD of dragging out the first app, just CLICK on it and it will open in full screen, It doesn"t look like it now but this will be your first floater lol.
Next drag any random app (like settings or something) out of the FlashBar and drop it.
Now you will notice at the top of the first app that was added to the MULTI-WINDOW now has a PIN on the top left.
Click on the PIN to make it GREEN , FLOATING and RESIZABLE now. To move it grab it by top near the center and pull it around. To resize grab the edge of the left, right, or bottom side and resize.
Next, touch the random second app that is now full screen and hit the back button once and it will go away.
Now with the floater at the bottom, open FlashBar again, find the next app you want to FLOAT, and once again just CLICK on it and it will open in full screen,
next drag any random app (like settings or something) out of the FlashBar and drop it again.
Now you will notice at the top of the first app that was added to the MULTI-WINDOW now has a PIN on the top left.
Click on the PIN to make it GREEN , FLOATING and RESIZABLE. To move it grab it by top near the center and pull it around. To resize grab the edge of the left, right, or bottom side and resize.
Next, touch the random second app that is now full screen and hit the back button once and it will go away.
Do you see a pattern now, do for any and as many apps you want open at once.
Also after you make an app floating you can press the pin again and watch the pin turn GREY and the app will stay floating in the background instead of foreground.
GREEN pin = app floating in foreground.
GREY pin = app floating in background.
When all said and done you should be able to do this with any app:
PROFIT!!!!!!!!!!!
The above mentioned module called XPOSED APP SETTINGS is a wonderful tool for changing individual apps to make them visually fit your liking. Everything I talk about in the next few paragraphs is in direct relation to XPOSED APP SETTINGS.
NOW FOR A LITTLE KNOWLEDGE
Screen density
The quantity of pixels within a physical area of the screen; usually referred to as DPI (dots per inch). For example, a "LOW" density screen has fewer pixels within a given physical area, compared to a "NORMAL" or "HIGH" density screen.
Font Scale
The size of the font in the amount of pre-allocated space; measured by percentage.
Resolution
The total number of physical pixels on a screen; usually known as Screen (dp).
Xlarge Resolution
extra large resolution
Locale
This allows you to change the language of any app individually; without changing your whole system to a different language.
Fullscreen
Force the app into fullscreen mode while hiding the status bar that is easily accessible by pulling down on the top of the screen.
Prevent the app from going into fullscreen mode. Keeps status bar on screen while the app is open.
No Title
Removes title bar from app. Every app I chose this for force closes so don't mark my words.
Keep Screen on
This will NOT let your screen turn off while the app is on the screen unless you hit the physical power button.
Show when phone locked
Leaves app open in the foreground of the lock screen while app is open and on the screen
Orientation
The ability to change whether an app opens (portrait or landscape). The dropdown consists of
(default app rotation). Uses whatever the default orientation that is already written into the app
Normal rotation = Will rotate screen normally
Always portrait = The ability to FORCE the app into portrait mode ONLY
Always landscape = The ability to FORCE the app into landscape mode ONLY
Force auto-rotation = The ability to FORCE the app to auto-rotate (will edit after tested).
Resident
Keeps any app in memory (running in background).
Insistent Notifications
Insistent notifications repeat their audio, vibration, and light settings continuously until canceled. These Notifications are typically used for events that require immediate and timely attention; such as an incoming call or the ringing of an alarm clock.
No BIG Notifications
Makes the app notification in the notification dropdown smaller, like a small preview instead of the normal show everything notification.
Permissions
Allows you to revoke permissions from any app of your choice.
If you've come this far than you probably know that some apps look like they might be sized bigger or smaller than other parts of the phone.
That's because the system doesn't change the DPI and Screen (dp) automatically with some/most apps.
After all the changes, the GALLERY app title bar is too big, meaning the DPI did not auto adjust. In order to make everything fit in the title bar you have to lower the DPI to anything lower than 240 for THIS app ONLY.
Every app will need it's own custom setting in order to get it the way you want it. Please DO NOT post that this exact setting did not work for any other app cause it MAY or MAY NOT. Consider yourself warned
AFTER SEEING THIS THREAD IMAGINE THE POSSIBILTIES

HOW TO DISABLE XPOSED APP SETTINGS
Being that this MOD is not perfect, sometimes you might need to disable Xposed App Settings if something goes wrong (example: I made a change to an app that I didn't like, after reboot I went to change the settings back and noticed the app didn't show up in Xposed App Settings, even after several reboots).
TO FIX THIS:
Go to XPOSED INSTALLER in your app drawer (some roms like jedi master have the xposed installer built into a custom app like jedi tricks app that @ptmr3 made for his roms) anyway once in the installer, click on MODULES at the top right corner, then uncheck the box next to XPOSED APP SETTINGS.
NOW REBOOT. You will notice that all the Xposed App Settings aren't enabled anymore.
Then go back to your Xposed App Settings app and find the app you had problems with, that started this disable process.
Now change the settings back to a known good configuration. DON'T FORGET TO SAVE before exit.
Immediately go back to your XPOSED INSTALLER, click on modules and recheck the box next to XPOSED APP SETTINGS to renable it.
NOW REBOOT AGAIN
If you followed the instructions given, properly you should have everything back to the way it was before the problem occurred.
@Fictionles made a HOW-TO make floating Windows minimize. Go check it out and give him thanks here:

I'm on master 16 with sabrekernel 35.6 with the ext2 system data and cache mod.
All of this is amazing with these .phones. I will be finally getting an mhl adapter in the near future. They aren't expensive.
I hadn't looked into Master too much because of the lack of multiwindow, but read in the dev thread that it was working past a certain version. So multiwindow (and this thread's particular mod) does indeed work on 16 for you?

is there a way to install navigation bar and soft keys for Galaxy Tab 10.1 like some of the Nexus devices have. I use the 10.1 in portrait mode and prefer to have keys on screen.
What program/method has worked for any of you? I have Xposed installed and am willing to try anything.

If Xposed is in, you can use gravity box to enable the nav bar. You're rooted, so you can also just edit the build.prop file and drop in a line at the end that reads
qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
I've backed away from gravity box in cm11 as it may be related to some odd 'misses' I'm getting in the browser - but that may be more to do with the app settings module and dialing up the size of things in the aosp browser.

So gravity box will do it safely? Have you tried gravity box to do it?

It works but only 3 dot menu key pops up in portrait mode. I tried disabling 3 dot menu on navbar reboot and still same thing. How do I get it to work in portrait?
And touching the bar in other places when in portrait doesn't get a response.

Bump. Nobody knows how to do it?? Is there some dev anyone know of that I can pm?

Hi
Want to hide my navigation bar?
Any suggestions on how to go about it?
I would like to know this as well. AMOLED screens scare me.

I think "pie control" does not require root.

I'm using swipe navigation, that's the reason i want to hide it.
Save the extra screen space
https: // play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gmd.immersive (remove spaces)
I use this and highly recommend it for apps not requiring the keyboard much. Reason for this is that the keyboard will not appear while in full screen mode unless you swipe up, bring back the navigation keys, and then tap in the fillable field again. Otherwise it's the perfect app for long bouts of scrolling in apps like most reddit clients, twitter, google+, etc.
Power Toggle also has a quicksetting tile option for immersive mode im using nova launcher and i dont know if it's intentional or not but they have the option to make the navigation bar transparent. Give "Navbar app" a shot i think they have an option for a transparent bar as .

Where is the option in Nova launcher to make the nav transparent?

If you go under "Look and Feel" there should be an option that says "Hide notification", transparent, and dark. I tbought this was only fir the notification bar on the top but it instead made the navigation bar on the horrml

I pulled the build.prop file via adb but can't seem to push it back after editing cuz i can't adb from recovery.
Hey,
So, screen burn in is definitely a concern of mine as well. I am well versed in AMOLED burn in going all the way back to the Droid Incredible and Verizon Fascinate days. From what I remember, it largely has to do with the black areas of the screen (notification bar, nav bar) not having any pixels being exercised. So, in essence, the rest of the screens pixels age (or burn in) creating that effect. Static images also burn in (nav bar buttons... Also concerning). I noticed somebody posted an app to change the nav bar colors with each app that's opened. Would this not prevent burn in as well as those pixels are now getting equally exercised along with the rest of the screen (with the colors changing too... Their being no static image)?
Just curious.
I edited the build.prop but I get system UI force close when I restart. Any ideas on how to stop that from happening? I want to use lmt launcher. Can't stand the nav bar.
easiest way to hide navigation bar is with Tiles app, with the imersive mode toggle. Doesn't require root either. Just an adb command to provide a certain permission.

I used terminal and "settings put global policy_control immersive.navigation=*" command and I now have a stable phone. I hope an option to permanently disable the navbar will come along like the qemu line in build.prop

You used this after doing that qemu line in build.prop right? So basically two steps, one to make the nav bar go away, with the build.prop method and then the second one in terminal to get rid of the Force Close pop ups after a reboot? Am I right?

No, just the terminal command. If I change the build.prop I get system Ui force close. Unfortunately haven't figured out how to stop the fc pop ups. I just put the navbar in permanent immersive mode.
Terminal
"Su"
"settings put global policy_control immersive.navigation=*"

Well that's great then. I am gonna try this out. If this terminal command makes it go away permanently and doesn't cause that FC issue then its better than the build.prop edit right? :laugh:

Definitely better than the build.prop. At least this way the phone is stable

Hey mate how to revert to old settings? I ran that command and it hides the navigation bar, but it still comes up when I swipe from bottom, which is annoying as I use GMD and I don't need it to come up at all. So I guess I'll go with the build.prop method, but just wanna know how to revert to old settings in Terminal.
