Since A50 can not be rooted app suggestions - Samsung Galaxy A50 Questions & Answers

I used my Samsung phones with root for years. But now as far as I learned it's impossible to root a50.
I used to use these apps adaway (https://adaway.org), sdmaid (https://sdmaid.darken.eu),callrecorder skvalex (https://callrecorder.skvalex.com/get) and others which require root in my previous rooted phones but now can't.
Any suggestions instead of these apps? Apps which do their jobs almost as these apps do but don't need root?

[Q] Help with removing ads from google apps

On tmobile sgh-s3 t999 rooted
No.
What ROM are you running? Are you Rooted, if yes then you can use Adaway or Adfree or something like that. All are readily available in the market.
If not Rooted, not sure anything can be done for you. Kind of one of the basic reasons to Root IMO.
Edit: Just saw that your signature says Rooted. Then try Adfree or Adaway. They both work well.
I tried using adaway and adfree but a lot of the apps I have still has ads.
It does work but only for certain apps

Like which app? Let me see if I have them
If the app in question does not require an active internet connection in order to use the app, then I suggest using Droidwall from the market and black listing said app. It works great for the games I play.

Barclay's Bank - UK

I'm so desperate to root my g3 but I bank with Barclay's and the app doesn't work on rooted devices. So frustrating. Has anyone found a workaround ? I known things like root cloak don't work with it.

Root your device and use Xposed module RootCloak.
Had the same problem with one of my apps.
Problem solved.

Doesn't work with Barclays Bank app in the UK - they update it too fast.

why do you need an app for banking ? that's a big security hole in your phone.

Have you confirmed that the app is broken by root? The RBS Android app stopped working when I installed it on my G3 (it worked on my rooted HTC One X+). RBS confirmed that the app is broken on some devices, rooted or not.

I can confirm
It may not be possible. Root cloak methods dont seem to work for this or SkyGo, even unrooting doesn't work for some apps, you need to reflash to stock completely.
Unrooting and deleting SuperSu works on Samsungs
Has anybody checked on lg g3?

root your phone install whatever you want tweaks etc then unroot it and install the barclays app...
It's not so simple. Adblock will be working but Xposed not. Not sure about Barclays app, I can't test it because if it won't work you need to reinstall your rom... Time consuming

Ok I did it. I rooted the phone, installed adblock, froze some apps in Titanium etc, Barclays of course didn't work.
Then fully unroot from SuperSu, restart and Barclays works!
Thank god.
Will ota work?

This is the best answer I have seen. Barclays, in general, has a stick up their collective asses regarding hacked phones. Switch to a bank that doesn't care what you do with your phone.

New Halifax banking update

It seems that banking apps are now starting to block access for rooted devices. I have however found a work around if any one is interested?
Simply just install 'hide my root'
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amphoras.hidemyroot&hl=en_GB
Open app, hide supersu binary, then run banking app, register device, first log in etc
You can now activate root again and the banking app will still be working ?

Or you can use the Xposed module Rootcloak, which works much better.
I tried root cloak earlier, blocked halifax app, and it didnt work? Dont know if its a mixture of both apps? Trying to work it out ?

Root cloak does not work with barclays banking app.
To the OP: Did you try your app with Barclays?
Thanks

Wondering if this could fix Kingroots callback issues?

I have kingroot on my firestick, I rooted with 4.1 & some have had issues with the app Only working for around 20mins then blanking off or cutting out on Kodi? I have been quite lucky with mine & normally only have it doing that once then no more problems while using Kodi to watch things. When using Kingroot it likes to callback to home as many users know, which could be causing the issues during using Kodi while rooted with Kingroot on Fire Tv? But I was wondering I have an app called APK Permission Remover so I had a look at the Kingroot app & saw that in one of the permissions it says activity called? Could this maybe fix the issues I think it maybe worth a try? What does anyone think about this?
I've included the screen shot of the permissions on the latest version of Kingroot
To be honest I'm not sure if this will or would work? I tested using the facebook app & once you have already installed the app you must uninstall first then reinstall the app that you have modded.... But I don't know if you would have issues when it uninstalls? or when the modded app gets installed because I'm sure that kingroot gets the root from home (via the Internet connection) & I'm sure it would fail to root then? I maybe wrong but I'm not sure if this would be possible? If anyone has a theory on this or knows a little more who these two apps work maybe they could shed some light or hope into this matter?
No. APK permission removers do not remove root permission which is how Kingroot is "calling back". Just delete KingRoot for now once you block OTAs or block the callback at the router level (might not help with the cutting out Kodi).
Just install supersu and get rid of kingroot.

Mate this don't work.... so many people in this forum have bricked after their first reboot after doing this using super sume app so I don't think a simple install su then uninstail kingroot would work.

Is there anything *known* to break Android Pay on rooted devices?

On my M8 it used to be that anything that modified /system broke Android Pay. Until recently it was assumed that would still be the case, but I and many others have seen that AP still works with systemless root and custom roms (LeeDroid in my case). I'm considering some other modifications (Xposed, etc.), but I wanted to find out if there's any risk of breaking AP. Has anyone actually managed to do anything that causes AP to stop working?

No not at the moment. But on previous devices, root alone was enough.
Also just used two different cards on my phone, this is great, I can leave the house for a pint and leave my wallet at home. Great stuff.

Anything that modifies the framework will affect Android pay. Some have said they got it working with root cloak module (add Google framework and Google services) but I couldn't get it to work.

Root cloak doesn't mask SafetyNet checks, so it couldn't work.
What other mods are known to break it? I know AdAway without the "systemless" mod will.
Installed the latest Leedroid (r46) and it no longer works for me, it did on an earlier version. Not sure what changed.

Oh no, that's not good news! You might consider posting this on the LeeDroid thread. Hopefully there's something he can do about this...
