How to install Android 10 on Z5 PRO GT
*edit*
If any of you uploade the android 10 zip elsewhere send me the links and after validating the link ill put it up here
Downloads
ADB+FASTBOOT
Android 10 Zip
TWRP
For starters don't try to just install zip via stock recovery it will just error out (THEY KNOW THAT YOU'RE BEING A NAUGHTY BOI AND INSTALLING IT WITHOUT BEING A BETA TESTER)
Before you start be on latest stock firmware
For starters install adb+fastboot drivers
After that go to your phone enable developer options by slammin that build number
Then go to developer options and enable usb debugging and oem unlock
Go to about and write down you IMEI 1 and serial number
Then go to Magical Link Yes
Yes yes its in Chinese i think
Here's a handy little translation for you
{

And apply for bootloader unlock image
Download it and save it somewhere you can find it
Now the fun begins make sure to follow as i say cuz otherwise there's a chance android 10 might not install yes its very picky
Make sure you're on latest official ZUI 11.1.021
Now turn the phone off and power it on holding volume down and power button to boot into bootloader
Now its time to unlock the bootloader
Connect the phone to the computer and open CMD in the fastboot folder place the bootloader unlock img in the same folder
Type in
fastboot flash unlock sn.img
and after that type in
fastboot oem unlock-go
Now your bootloader is unlocked
Now you must boot the phone up and set it up with unlocked bootloader (yes this is important)
Set up the WiFi etc
And make sure to set up a pin and fingerprint
After you finish setup turn off the phone and boot into bootloader again (volume down+ power button)
Now flash TWRP
(put downloaded TWRP image into fastboot folder)
And then type in
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img and slam that enter
after its done click vol down few times to boot into the recovery click power button to select
Now when you boot into recovery it will ask you for a password to decrypt stuff (type in the pin/password you set up earlier when setting the phone up and click ok) now it will decrypt the storage
Now there's 2 ways to do this
1st Option
Connect phone to PC and drag the Android 10 zip to the internal storage
2nd option
Drag the firmware to a USB device and plug it in via OTG
Now click install (do not do any wipes)
If you went with the 1st option then select the zip file on internal storage and flash
If you went for 2nd option switch storage to OTG and click zip file and flash
Wait for it to flash
If it errors out that means you didn't listen and didn't set up pin and fingerprint (they are crucial so don't skip them the update somehow relies on them being set up and if they are not it doesn't wanna flash )
However if you did follow the instructions flashing will go well and after a bit it will be done
(Optional)
You can also flash magisk straight after without any reboots
Now back out and turn the phone off not reboot
Now boot into bootloader (vol down+power)
And you will see that your bootloader is locked again yes that's after effect of the firmware flash and fun part is that until you unlock it phone won't boot either cuz you have TWRP installed
Now unlock the bootloader again (scroll up for the instructions) and after that phone will reboot
Now wait few minutes for phone to boot and huzzah you have yourself some android 10 action on Lenovo Z5 Pro GT
(There is a chance firmware can overwrite TWRP to stock recovery if it doesn't just use the instructions above to flash TWRP again)
And that's about it
Enjoy your android 10
thank you its flashing now, after this can we get updates for the beta?

nope as
1 your bootloader will be unlocked
2 you have twrp
3 its internal beta build (thats why we cant just flash it on top of official software)
any bugs that hinder daily use? and how is the antutu score?
Hmm since you need to set-up the phone from ZUI 11 and does not require wiping.. after installing the beta version, does it just update the rom and carry over the setup you did on the previous rom? I'm asking this because my phone have the latest ZUI 11, bootloader unlock and TWRP installed.

Nice. That's good to know! I'll try this beta later when I get home. Can u kindly list the things working and not compared to stable version of ZUI? Thanks
Hey @wolfaas12345
I am very curious if this update has issues with notifications and bluetooth audio. I had those issues with ZUI 11 and i could not fix them (not even with some good advice).
Could you let me know?

I got my notifications working by deleting the zuisecurity app.. I followed instructions from a Russian site called 4pda.. I can't fine the exact instructions I did but they posted another way to do it.
"I personally recommend using the built-in TWRP file manager ( Advanced -> File Manager ). First you need to mount the system partition ( Mount -> [✓] System ). Move the folder / system_root / system / preinstall -> Move -> / sdcard / Backup . Move the folder / system_root / system / priv-app / ZuiSecurity -> Move -> / sdcard / Backup . Go to / data / app*
and select the application folder from which you want to always be informed, and you want this application to be able to start automatically under any conditions -> Move -> / system_root / system / app .
Usually, the rights are already needed, but just in case it’s worth checking, the files have 644, the folders have 755. Choose the folder -> chmod -> 0755 . Select subfolders -> chmod -> 0755 . Select the files inside them -> chmod -> 0644 .
Next, Reboot -> System .
If the system hangs on the bootloop, then try to boot into recovery, and then Wipe -> [✓]Dalvik-cache ."
Text is Russian but chrome translated it so it might be a little different..
Edit:
I found the instruction I mentioned above, but you need PC with adb installed to do it.
"Finally overcame notifications, without root. Via adb demolished Security. And after a while (perhaps reinstalling the prog with notifications and removing Google Services updates helped) notifications went. Access to the permissions menu has become unavailable. Prior to this, nothing helped, neither adding to exceptions / optimizations / permissions in the background / permission notifications / whitelist for autostart and so on, nor reinstalling Google Services. I now manage permissions through the app Ops through adb . Here are the commands for removing Security via adb , the root is not needed
adb pull / system / priv-app / ZuiSecurity /
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.zui.safecenter
The first command backups the folder from Security to the computer, to the folder with adb, the second removes Security itself. Do not forget to reboot at the end"
the first cmd will actually take a bit longer to finish since it will backup all files from system, priv-app, and zuisecurity folders.
second command will remove the zuisecurity app. I suggest u do a full backup using TWRP, and save the backup on a USB, not internal storage as suggested on the russian site.
TWRP gave me an error 7.. I started by installing the rom since I have the latest ZUI and have unlock bootloader already.
I have fingerprint, pin set-up and wifi also. Any ideas?
@hristcroixqwerty
and how are you managing permissions now? all in adb?
what if a new app asks for permissions? do you see a pop up?
Oh I forgot to mention that.. I'm using App Ops for permissions, and yes they still pop up.

try this, it's work for me.
1. flash Zui10 via qfil.
2. relock bootloader
3. ota update to zui11.1
4. unlock bootloader
5. set-up fingerprint and pin
6. flash twrp
7. flash zui11.5 via twrp
So I have to clean wipe again? I don't want to do it then. Base on the tutorial u mentioned, I'm done with the instructions from 1-6 since I'm using this phone with zui11.1 since December with unlock bootloader and TWRP. I don't want to re-setup again, kinda lazy. But anyway thanks for the reply!

Yup there's dark mode base on screen shots I saw on a Facebook page, but unfortunately it's not 100% working on all apps.. Some have still white borders etc etc..
Instructions worked perfect, got it installen without any problems thanks to wolfaas12345.
It does have a dark mode under: settings > developer options > themes > dark.
Did not encounter issues, exept with notifications. Notifications show up but dont make a sound or vibration. Inunstalling zui security and installing app ops did not work.

There is , at this time, no suggestion for you to fix.
Because, you do not tell enough of what you were doing, or did.
I mean. First superSU does not work on updated device(Oreo) . So must be nougat, but you did not say.
Next , removeing superSU , from inside of it's settings, will not erase system.
Your description of connecting to PC with USB and not able to see any system files. Well you cannot see Android system files in this way anyhow. Add to that USB (mtp) does not wokif there is no system I place to run the adb/mtp service.
Well if you mean you uninstalled root/superSU , then tried to restart, and that made the black screen, well this is different completely to what you asked. And this makes sense.
If this is what you need. You just need boot.img, if you were in fact on nougat. Or ramdisk.img, and/or kernel.kmg if it was Oreo.
For l21, I do not have these.

If you have all the needed files, just do this:
1. Boot into TWRP
2. Flash vendor.img, recovery_ramdis.img (Or something similar to that), and system.img
3. Flash them ^^^^ to the required partitions (Partition names to flash to should be self explanatory)
4. Do a factory reset
5. Reboot
Report back please if this works!
I have the exact same problem as OP. When I go into TWRP and mount an img or zip, there is always an error message saying
"Unable to find partition for path '/system' ". /system also doesn't show up anywhere else. . .
I tried your suggestion too but to no avail.
I don't know what to do anymore.
Edit: Now I can’t even get into TWRP after trying these 5 steps. All it shows me is the bootloader screen but with error messages.
“Please update the system again”
And at the bottom of the screen something about the boot.img

Also, are you sure you have the right twrp installed?
When in bootloader mode, connect your device to adb. Does you device get recognized when you type "fastboot devices" ???

Yes, I tried your suggestion and I used version 3.1.1.0 of TWRP.
Unfortunately it looks like my device is not getting recognized in adb anymore. All I get is either the screen where it says "booting your device now" forever or the white ERROR MODE screen with "Attention! Please update system again.
There are two error messages at the bottom of the screen :
Func NO : 10 (boot image)
Error NO : 2 (load failed)
Now, how do I save myself out of this? It looks like I can't do anything. . .
Edit: correction, it does get recognized in adb in fastboot mode. Can I just flash your suggested TWRP from there?
Edit2: tried to flash the complete_twrp_ramdisk.img in fastboot mode with fastboot flash recovery command. Then I rebooted but instead of TWRP it still shows ERROR MODE

There has to be a way to fix it from fastboot mode.
If everything fails, we can still try to send it to a Huawei Center to get fixed. Just don't tell them that you rooted or unlocked your device. I heard that they will then switch out the motherboard for a new one.

Do you have ADB support on TWRP mode?
If so just use dd command to flash stock boot.img.
Try it by fastboot if you can.
You need to flash stock boot.img because rooting patches boot image and you tried to unroot but were unable to reboot that would replace the patched boot with the stock one.
If i undetstood the issue correctly...
If not, please enlight me...

Have you re-flash with Huawei Multi Tool, but first you must have file update.zip and extract update.app from http://pro-teammt.ru/firmware-database/?firmware_model=BND&firmware_page=0

you on Nougat? have try to upgrade to Oreo from this thread,
https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-7x/how-to/manual-update-to-oreo-beta-emui-8-bnd-t3767044
there's maybe can fix your system file
Hi Guys,
Note- if you are on BLN-L22C675 Nougat you can do this easily but if you are on other variants, you need to debrand first as per this guide- https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-6x/how-to/guide-debranding-to-india-variant-bln-t3679402
Some background-
So what I heard earlier that post China Oreo beta, other regions may not get it (via various unofficial channels and on XDA) its finally here, even though via firmware finder but it gives us a glimpse that beta or stable would be coming soon.
I had given my Honor 6X to my brother 6 months back and was using V10 since then but he came yesterday and I tried to enable VOLTE on that phone but was not working. Even though I debranded my Honor 6X from AL10 to BLN-L22 Indian version very easily (guide in my signature) but somehow I was not able to get VOLTE working. Yesterday I tried all the known methods till 2.30 AM My time but VOLTE was not working and I gave up but today morning again I tried and updated my phone to EMUI 8.0 (already kept one phone for my brother so that if something goes wrong, I will give a new one to him so that he can use atleast as he is leaving today)
As VOLTE was not working and I decided to update to Android 8.0 Indian version, I saw a screenshot in my Honor 6X Oreo update discussion thread and downloaded and flashed via HuRUpdater but failed last night and I recovered back to B340 and then updated to B365.

In this guide, I will provide detailed instruction on how to update your Nougat BLN-L22C675 Indian version of Honor 6X to Oreo. Process is simple and you just need patience while updating and post updating I verified, Jio, Vodafone VOLTE working (seems iDEA would work but no 4G in Delhi/NCR).
Prerequisites-
Unlocked bootloader.
HiSuite backup/TWRP backup.
Downloads-
TWRP for BLN - https://mega.nz/#!bY9hRazT!I9kqA3a9i1tAc3tQSnDGpqMPc_cEKR4JAYe6rDQqvdE
All the Oreo files (downloaded from Firmware finder or below URLs)- you need to put your device as BLN-L22HNC675 and it will show these files under B510 firmware version.
Main zip- http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G3196/g1699/v154301/f1/full/update.zip
Data File- http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/...channel_in/update_full_BLN-L22_channel_in.zip
Public Zip- http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/...01/f1/full/public/update_data_full_public.zip
HwOTA zip from https://mega.nz/#!CXRnEaAb!XYodFoS9CDqJkHx0Uv2fdFmzycCvTrexcvYzrwnjfGI given in thread Thanks to @vovan1982
If you have not unlocked your your bootloader, please do so. You can refer this guide if not aware of the method-
Unlocking the bootloader-
Backup all your data as unlocking the bootloader will reset the device and all your data will be erased.
On windows machine, go to folder C:\adb or wherever you installed the adb drivers.
Press shift+right click together and select Open command prompt here (it will be open PowerShell here on Windows 8 and Windows 10 machine)
Run - adb reboot bootloader (this command may prompt for acceptance of RSA key if not already accepted)
This will boot the phone into bootloader mode.
Run - fastboot oem unlock <16 digit unlock code- Put your actual code you obtained from Huawei site > (This step will unlock the bootloader and will erase all your data)
Phone will restart automatically.
Installing TWRP
Once on the system, open the PowerShell or command prompt again in ADB folder (can use the previous instance as well)
Run -
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
Once in bootloader, Run
Code:
fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.1.1-0-berlin.img
(This will install the TWRP recovery for EMUI 5.0 on your phone)
Once done with the flashing the TWRP, Run
Code:
fastboot reboot
Actual Oreo update procedure
Once you have unlocked the bootloader, and installed TWRP recovery via command
Download the Oreo firmware given above in download link.
Download the HWOTA_BLN_Eng.zip from the link given above.
Unzip the HWOTA_BLN_Eng.zip file and move the extracted content (HWOTA_BLN_Eng folder) to adb folder of your PC.
Copy the downloaded Oreo firmware to C:\adb\HWOTA_BLN_Eng\HWOTA8_BLN\update\ folder.
Rename update_data_full_public.zip file to update_data_public.zip and update_full_BLN-L22_channel_in.zip to update_all_hw.zip, do not rename the update.zip.

Go to C:\adb\HWOTA_BLN_Eng\HWOTA8_BLN folder and run the update_eng.bat file and follow the on screen instructions.
The update_eng.bat will install the TWRP recovery and boot to TWRP (if not, you can remove USB and press power and volume up key and it will boot to TWRP, connect the USB again)
You will get prompt for update via SD card or script, select via script
You will get prompt for change region or change firmware, select change firmware.
It will automatically copy the content of C:\adb\HWOTA_BLN_Eng\HWOTA8_BLN\update, mainly those 3 zips and it will flash automatically.
You may see the update.zip file flashed as successful with no error but may see Error result [] for other 2 zips, dont worry that is expected.
Once flashed, it will automatically boot to Oreo without any issue and also it will ask if you want to relock your bootloader or keep this unlocked, this is your wish, I kept it unlocked and will be locked in future updates.
Your Nougat data may remain the same as it was in my case but I would advise to go with Hisuite backup and TWRP backup.
If phone unable to boot, flash the stock recovery and make factory reset and boot normally, it should boot fine. (haven't encountered this issue though)
I did factory reset after booting and verifying to system. Everything was working fine but still I did just to avoid any issue or lag (even though no lags were seen)
About Phone info and VOLTE for Jio and Vodafone. iDEA VOLTE would work as well but there is no 4G in NCR.
Enjoy Oreo.
Update- anyone having issues with call recorder, turn off Google voice typing and recording will work fine.

Internal storage shows as 0Mb. If I format data, Rom won't boot. I had to flash back stock recovery to factory reset and make it boot.
Flashing TWRP again shows 0Mb. Looks like a decryption issue.

May be TWRP is not compatible with Oreo yet. Have seen similar issues on V10. BTW given back the phone to bro and he left for Mumbai so I couldnt test and explore much but somehow I updated his phone to Oreo and then got VOLTE working as was struggling since long and even yesterday for around 8-10 hours.
Which stock recovery you used (extracted from update.zip or else)?

These will evolve with time. we just got Oreo. may be some developer can port these. for TWRP, Ramesh answered your query above. I have not flash any TWRP or stock recovery. HWOTA Will do the needful and install TWRP during the process and flash the update.zips one by one without issue. Once all done, your phone will boot and you will have stock recovery.

Hi Guys,
Some background-
In this guide, I will provide detailed instruction on how to update your Nougat BLN-L22C675 Indian version of Honor 6X to Oreo. Process is simple and you just need patience while updating and post updating I verified, Jio, Vodafone VOLTE working (seems iDEA would work but no 4G in Delhi/NCR).
Prerequisites-
Unlocked bootloader.
HiSuite backup/TWRP backup.
Downloads-
All the Oreo files (downloaded from Firmware finder or below URLs)- you need to put your device as BLN-L22HNC675 and it will show these files under B510 firmware version.
Once you have unlocked the bootloader, download the Oreo firmware given above in download link.
Boot to bootloader or fastboot mode. Keep your phone connected with PC.

While unlocking bootloader I took the complete backup with Hisuite but after restoring it everything's there except my safe files.
I am unable to find any of those files(safe box) in file manager too.
Is there any way to recover those files?

Thank you very much for such a detailed guide.. successfully installed Oreo on my Device ?
Just wanted to mention that faced issue with existing process when it ask to boot in TWRP recovery... It was booting to stock recovery only. So disconnected mobile, switched on , flash TWRP seperately, directly booted to TWRP and connected again to the computer and continued process.
Thak you very much for detailed guide.

simply follow this guide -> LINK
- allow OEM unlock in the dev-settings (hit 5 times build number to see)
- allow usb debugging
- reboot to fastboot
- send "fastboot devices" command
- send "fastboot oem unlock" -> acknowledge
- send "fastboot flashing unlock" -> acknowledge
- flash the twrp image "fastboot flash recovery name_of_the_image.img"
- reboot into twrp by power of the device
- after that press vol+ up and power button (if i remember correct.. ) to get into twrp
- now u need a sd-card (micro) put no verity opt encrypt on it and magisk
- Backup all partitions u find.
- format data partition to get the size
- install magisk
- install no verity opt...
reboot
BV9600 should be rooted. Took me serveral times to get it working, because u need directly after "Flashing unlock command" to get the twrp stuff done.

First u need to go to fastboot mode, to unlock "OEM UNLOCK"
This is easy via adb
-> reboot fastboot
Did u install the correct driver? (ADB driver) is ur device listed?
i tried repacking it myself but with no luck so far, also tried various treble GSI, all booting on my BV9600Pro and basically working but mobile data and phone are broken so that's not an option for now
I don’t understand why unblock the bootloader at all if everything is installed on the MTK platform using the SP Flash Tool !?
Why these dances with adb and fastboot? if a everything is done much easier ...
You do not install the factory software using adb ? not ?? so why can't TWRP be installed and installed using the SP Flash Tool!? Why complicate things?
Root with sp Flash tool
Hi please Anyone could explain this procedure with Sp Flash Tool and post it?

Is this a statement or a question? Sorry, I do not know English and I use a translator ..
II repeat once again, in order to install TWRP you do not need to unlock the bootloader!
it installs without problems using the SP Flash Tool
and this is not an assumption but a statement!
My first copy of the smartphone received TWRP. It was on my copy that all the first tests of TWRP and ROOT were conducted.

I'm glad to hear that it works that way to you. But that doesn't worked for me. So i wrote the way i took, to root. Let the others choose, wich way works for them. :fingers-crossed::good:
I am using another MTK device and SP FlashTool is great it lets you recover from any software brick. So I will advice people to use this method.
I am planning on buying bv9600 pro and having twrp ported and root is a good start to custom roms.
The touch driver issue on twrp should be easily solved with the good kernel module for the twrp. And official twrp support would be nice.
Subscribed to the thread will see where it goes.
hi guys, can you share a clean system twrp backup of bv9600? because my USB is damaged and i can not use sp flash tool to clean restore. thanks!
Hi, i try to root my bv9600 pro, but all i end up is on reboot the system restores to factory no TWRP or anything on it. I connected it to MTKdroidtools and it complains about a file /system/recovery-from-boot.p which restores recovery and obviously after it the system too.
Thanks for any help
edit: LOL nevermind, working fine now, don't know what was going wrong, in a last try just downloaded the latest stable magisk again. Thanks AMDFenics for the howto
Just one thing, can i get rid of this 5 sec. warning that the mobile is unlocked?

Followed this same root guide and after flashed linage os 17.1 a64_bvN type with recovery. It worked successfully.
Despite not having service ,in the place im in right now, it also works. Both SIM cards work
Thanks a lot guys!
I successfully installed Linage OS 17.1 on my SM-A105FN.
Everything works, except face-unlock and nfc.
But that is fine and I can wait for a future update that might fix it.
Thanks for the tutorial!:laugh::good:

Might work but are you a little tech savvy? Because it's quite a long process and took me a day to complete.
Because of all the bootloops and reflashing and so on.
If it's not an issue I'll be happy to help out

Could you pass me the ROM link?
Thank you for the port, awesome job!
In my opinion it needs some improvements, like in sound, we lost quality, and maximum volume in respect to stock one.
Also the notification bar gets a small black bar in the top, stock one was using all the edges.
And maybe a little hand in some animations that runs randomly not smooth.
Apart from that, i think its a really good and stable ROM.
Any ideas in how to safely root, and maybe add it Viper4Android or some audio lib?

Spoiler: Installing base EMUI 8 for hi6250 devices.
This was already described in a separate thread which describes the process to get back to EMUI 8 from custom ROMs. You can find it here.
Just follow the procedure in that thread. You need not even flash the frp unlock thing. After that, follow the process described in this thread.
It's recommended to be on original EMUI 8 before installing base EMUI 8 for hi6250. Follow the process linked in requirements to install EMUI 8 first then follow this spoiler.
Procedure :
Make sure your device is running stock EMUI 8.
Extract downloaded image using some xz extractor(7zip can also do this), copy it to pc.
Reboot your device to TWRP.
Format the data partition {Wipe > Format data > type "yes"}
Flash fstab.hi6250b.zip from attachments
Check if your device is detected by adb using
Code:
adb devices
.
Move the img file using adb to device
Code:
adb push -p *img-name*.img /sdcard/
(the img file must be in adb directory).
(Optional, only if you want gapps) Move Gapps in the same manner
Code:
adb push -p *gapps-name*.zip /sdcard/
(the zip file must be in adb directory).
Install img as system image {Install > Install Image > Select > Choose system image > Swipe➡}.
(Optional, only if you want gapps) Unmount and Remount system partition as writable. Go to wipe > advanced wipe > Choose system > resize > Swipe➡.
Flash gapps.
Flash stock recovery. Push it with adb using
Code:
adb push -p stock_recovery_ramdisk.img /sdcard/
and flash it with twrp as "Recovery" after choosing install image.
Disconnect your device from PC and reboot to recovery(stock one).
Clear cache partition and perform a factory reset(You'll get an error during factory reset but you have to do it) (your device will bootloop if wiped with twrp itself).
Reboot, Cross your fingers and wait.
>Booting is quite different in android 11 ROMs on our device. You'll see the "Your device has been unlocked" screen for more time than usual. Then, you'll see the boot animation (for very short time on subsequent boots) and the device will boot to ROM. So, be patient. (This isn't the case with ROMs upto android 10)
>Face Unlock is working perfectly
Spoiler: Additionals
Additionals:
>Its better to charge your device to atleast 70% before doing anything as you'll have ample of time to recover it if you messed up something. If not, you can still charge your device in eRecovery mode and twrp but i found some issues like heating up and slow charging.
>Don't forget to set ringtone, notification and other sounds from settings after booting.

Thx for keep looking for the best andorid 11 rom for Honor 6X. Installed it, no issue so far, testing it as a 2nd daily device. Let you know...
Below is my installation procedure using a microsdcard, quite the same as post #1 apart of that.
- on a micro SD card, download:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachments/twrp-img.5326857/
https://sourceforge.net/projects/darkjoker360-developements/files/Huawei/fstab.hi6250b.zip/download
https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachments/stock_recovery_ramdisk-img.5321325
FluidOS-1.1-Rum-R-Hi6250-emui8.img extracted with 7zip from https://mega.nz/#!jWQWEJ7Z!cd2S5oy2g8IdUuw5PfQEkSadslojBpFgB6ltUNOpc-w
OPTIONAL: pico gapps from https://sourceforge.net/projects/opengapps/files/arm64/test/20210110/
- insert the micro SD card in your usb debugging enabled Honor 6X (with EMUI 8 or custom rom installed over EMUI8), and connect it to a PC with adb & fastboot
- in adb, "adb reboot bootloader"
- in fastboot, "fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk TWRP.img"
- in fastboot, "fastboot reboot"
- after reboot completed, "adb reboot recovery"
- disconnect the honor 6x from the PC
- in TWRP recovery, Format the data partition {Wipe > Format data > type "yes"}
- in TWRP recovery, flash fstab.hi6250b.zip
- in TWRP Recovery, flash FluidOS-1.1-Rum-R-Hi6250-emui8.img {Install > Install Image > Select > Choose system image > Swipe}
- OPTIONNAL IF GAPPS WANTED: in TWRP recovery, Mount system partition (Mount > check system and unckeck read only OR reboot in recovery). And
resize system (Go to wipe > advanced wipe > Choose system > repair > resize). Then install open_gapps-arm64-11.0-pico-XXXXXXX.zip.
- in TWRP Recovery Flash STOCK_RECOVERY_RAMDISK.img {Install > Install Image > Select > Choose recovery image > Swipe}
- in TWRP recovery, reboot to recovery (even if TWRP says no OS installed)
- in Stock recovery, wipe cache and factory reset (error is normal)
- in Stock recovery, reboot and wait

Hello, do you know how can I factory reset in the Huawei ERecovery step at the end ?
I try to do it so but it keep reboot my phone to TWRP recovery, it's like I can't wipe data/factory reset my phone from the stock recovery.
Maybe TWRP is bloking it ? Should I disable something in the TWRP settings ?
Between thanks for yours work !

Your mistake is that your using stock erecovery.
You have to use stock recovery. Meaning flashing the stock recovery provided in post 1 over the twrp recovery :
- in TWRP Recovery Flash STOCK_RECOVERY_RAMDISK.img {Install > Install Image > Select > Choose recovery image > Swipe}
- in TWRP recovery, reboot to recovery (even if TWRP says no OS installed)
- in Stock recovery, wipe cache and factory reset (error is normal)
- in Stock recovery, reboot and wait
Yep thanks, I forget to choose Recovery when I flash the stock recovery ramdisk, so my twrp install it on the last choice that it's system image
To resolve my problem I reinstall my previous system (EMUI 8 for honor 6x) and this time I wipe the david cache, system, cache ... after format the data partition
And I didn't install any OpenGAPPS and it works fine !
A little empty, but I will try without Google services to see if it sweet to me, it saved a lot of battery so that's nice !
Again, I thank you all of you for your amazing work thank you very much my honor 6x can still live haha
Edit : no it's too painfull without google services haha

Perform a factory reset after flashing gapps too.
Flashing gapps without factory reset crashed chromium based browsers on AOSP 10. This might not be the case with this rom but better do it.

Android without Google services is more and more easy.
Aurora market is a good choice.
I have also some workaround for'GPS localisation and so....
Nevertheless, gapps working fine for me, no device lag cause of it ! All services active and working

Yes, it's clear, read the posts, watched YT video, but one of the steps is installing Huawei USB COM driver to replace the SER driver, and I already tried on 2 computers, Windows 10 (updated) fails to install that driver, and without it, PotatoNV won't 'see' the device.

Nope, there's an app on play store called "power menu controls" download that. And the other, you could use Tasker(also an app from play store) to create your custom controls like the ones I did for screen rotation.

what's the procedure you followed to install drivers?
Unzip the attached file, and choose "DriverSetup.exe" and that's it. uninstall these drivers after installing the rom using "DriverUninstall.exe" for mtp to work. The process will ask for reboot in some language(i think Chinese) after uninstalling but it isn't needed.
*These are also the fastboot drivers(but the name in attachments is testpoint drivers).

Thanks a million! It worked., I just unlocked the bootloader, I did not have these drivers.
Now onto next steps... may take a while, I'm old and slow
Well, did not go too far... when trying to flash twrp (as per this guide:
), I'm getting an error:
fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk twrp.img

sending 'recovery_ramdisk' (24466 KB)...

Ideas?
P.S. I also tried

OKAY [ 0.642s]
