haven't tested it myself, but yeah I have seen people use it on stock ROM
I am having idle battery drain issue (~20% drain overnight) on Stock ROM so, I tried this kernel with 060 firmware. The kernel is working perfectly (at least to the extent I used it) but it didn't solve idle battery drain. I am trying to find solution since 2 months. I also tried couple of ROMs and other Kernels and all the old firmware but none of them worked, no matter what I do, the problem is intact. So, now the only solution that I can think of currently is, completely restore my Phone and then go to Service Center.
Again, thanks for this awesome kernel. This is the only kernel that is being updated when most of the development for this device is already dead.
How to install this kernel
I am new in installing kernel but i have installed roms before

Do onething, remove fingerprint authentication and use the device like you usually do. The idle drain should reduce. Also if you can, track wakelocks using BetterBatteryStats. That would help recognize what drains the battery.

Just flash the provided zip file using twrp recovery, reboot. That's it.

Thanks for reply.
Well, I'm not using Fingerprint authentication since Pie update. So, Something else is causing the issue. In fact, this issue started suddenly in (i guess) mid November. I have also tested idle drain on MSM Xtended, crDroid, Ion OS etc ROMs and Kernels namely Stardust, Singh, PBH and Droopy but the issue is same across. I have also tried Official Android 10 beta but the results are same. I also downgraded to Oreo 340 update but didn't helped. I also tried every Official Pie update till date.
You can take a look my Post #2 on Asus forum for BetterBatteryStats:

I'll give it in 1 day. I have reverted completely to Stock and Upgraded to Android 10 Official beta. I'll need to give permission to BBS via adb and then wait for 1 day to collect stats.

What is "tile for activating\deactivating battery charging"?
- this is system icon(like performance profiles) which permits\prohibits the supply of current to the battery at the time when the charger is connected.
Why do we need that tile?
- if you play, watch a movie or perform another costly action, then activating this mode will save the battery from unnecessary wear because energy will go directly from the charger. But you need a fairly powerful charger, if the power of the charger is not enough, then partially the consumption will be compensated by the battery.
What happens if you do not install TosForPSCI-0.1?
- at best, only one CPU core will be active. At worst, the recovery will not be started (if it has not been updated too) and the system too.
How to roll back on the firmware version, which came out before November?
- download TosForPSCI-0.2 and recovery. You'll be able to flash older ROMs after installing them
Why do I need to lower the PSCI version from 0.2 to 0.1?
- Using version 0.1 fixes a problem with shutting down a device.

Spassiba!
Absolutely great to see you back in XDA.
I've been following your progress thru 4pda.ru but sometimes google translate just doesn't do justice.
I would like to ask ppl who have used this ROM that how is the deep sleep power consumption?
There was few interesting changes in the 24.7 and 19.8 versions that could make the stand-by drainage less severe.

Wew
Eyyyyy
Guess I'll take a reserve too
Edit: Time to use the reserve for a 1st page day 1 review
The kernel is working really well, with everything on stock because of no kernel tweaking.
The biggest improvement is probably standby batterylife and heat, for some reason other 4.4 kernels are really bad at this, resulting in around 20% battery loss overnight
The bad news is that USB tethering is still not working for me on all 4.4 kernels, including this one, so there's that

hello @Star_king12, my device has a rare problem where most of the time when I try to scroll it registers a touch and while playing PUBG the trackpad stutters.
Only your F1XY CAF rev5 kernel fixed it for me and whichever rom I switch your kernel is the only solution.
Now with 4.4 kernel trend, I thought I could use F1XY4.4 for the hiccups but it missed out on the charm which the "3.18 caf rev5" had. So kindly implement the previous fix in your 4.4 edition too.
Need any testing or logcats, ready to cooperate.

I wish I knew what fixed it in that kernel. I'm aware of that issue and we are working with other devs to fix it, however since none of us have a device with such touchscreen, so it's way harder.

Equalizer not working only in Stock Music Player
I've been running this ROM for approximately 24h and the overall impression was good. For some reason I had an increased battery drain (~10% over night with airplane mode). Could it be related to the camera button wake feature? I didn't find any option to turn it off, so I wasn't able to do before/after check.. I don't experience this drain on AICP Pie. (Maybe I'm the only one having that problem - in that case forget my post, since I didn't make any logs )
Edit: I used the stock (AICP) kernel
Hello everyone. Thank you for this software, I really like, despite some flaws. So yesterday, the battery charge remained 16%, turned the phone into flight mode, and in the morning the phone did not turn on. The battery is completely discharged. The radio doesn’t tune in auto frequency search; it only finds one frequency. For that, the camera works fine; the phone does not lag, as happened on the AISP; The phone works smoothly and quickly. I also liked setting the contact photo in full screen and recording the conversation on the phone. In general, if you modify it with autonomy, you can consider this software to be one of the best. (I tried all custom software)
problem solved. deleted

Rom is really good. Thank you a lot!
Is there a trick for magisk or SU? Installed both (seperate installations) without having root or find any trace of them in the system.
The mentioned Magisk did not work for me. I installed magisk manager and let it download the zip and installed that. That worked.

- LED Notifications (Thank's NeoArian)
- Update from source
- Update thermanager.xml
- Minor fixes
I have just installed this rom and it is working very well but one major problem. Screen is very bright. I turned off adaptive brightness but the manual brightness bar does not seem to work as it is the same from 0 to 100. I am not able to use it unfortunately as it is hurting my eyes

this is unbelievable a custom kernel for our device many thanks and huge respect God bless you brother. i have 1 request too please try to build Linux 4.9 kernel for this device too in future if you can (maybe it's too much to ask but it's only a request)
ram management is good due to inclusion of swap partition (1gb) and battery seems to be draining fast
Hi, i never used a Kernel before. I used lots of roms but I dont know what is kernel and why is it important. Anyways.
I was wanting to use KCAL app, it seems it's working with it. I have some questions.
1- how to back up my own kernel, so if I want to restore it I can go back to my original kernel.
2- is it just some kind of backend thing, if I install this it will not act like a rom and reset all the data on my phone right?
3- somebody says it have battery drain problem above in the comments. I don't care about battery drain so much but how it drains, like 1% per 2 or 3 minutes is okay but if it's less than this it won't be okay for me.
4- as I said above, I will use it for KCAL app, is there similar great things that I can do with custom kernel? I don't know much about it.
That's all. Sorry for my bad English.
Thanks

1. first backup your boot partition via twrp.
restore if you want to return to your original kernel
2.yups...
thanks bro
All the cpu cores are running at max frequency all the time in this kernel that's why it's draining battery so fast
Does i can flash it on havoc os 10

ProjectEva is the default kernel pre-installed in custom roms for our device. This kernel is better for gaming, but Revvz kernel is better for multtasking, and is for that reason that i use Revvz kernel.
It has not worked for me in HAVOC OS 10, however in roms with Android 9, Evolution type, etc, yes

Network guru issue has been fixed in the stable release. Thanks for notifying
I don't care about benchmark scores. The intention is to give a satisfactory performance with good enough battery life with as low heating as possible. If you care about performance nameless is probably what you should opt for.

nameless imo is the worst, day to day smoothness is non-existent,tap an app and you have to wait a sec for it to open up,so I'm excited to test your kernal sir, I don't care about gaming performance if that's what you were talking about,so far lineage os kernal seems to be the king when it comes to responsiveness

thankyou for quick update bro! i can live without benchmark scores or performance!
I'm using it since tomorrow till now the experience is good enough! I'll update after spending sometime with it!
Going to try this one soon. But I've somy questions (noob ?). My Z2 is now on AOSiP-9 with Nameless r29 and L-Speed installed.
- Can I just flash this kernel directly? Or flash AOSiP-9 over again and then flash droopy?
- Do I need to uninstall L-Speed? Or is there any need of installing L-Speed, spectrum or similar app?
I don't need any performance based kernel since I don't play games. Only need a battery oriented one with enough speed for daily use, that's all. So definitely gonna try this very soon.

Dirty flash ROM, then flash kernel then magisk if necessary. Flashing on top of other kernels will likely give miserable results.
Using L-speed or any kinda mod with the kernel is not recommended. What works with other kernels probably won't work on droopy. I don't expect users to use any companion apps. It is supposed to give optimum results by default. If the default setup is not up to your expectations, use kernel managers like FK kernel manager[recommended] or kernel adiutor for tweaking the setup. There are more than enough tunables to play with. However do note, that I am responsible only to the default setup, and any mishaps due to changes from user's end is not upto me to solve.
