Warmer screen display - Realme X2 Questions & Answers

Is it my phone specific issue, or everyone also has some sort of night sight even after disabling and setting the screen color temperature to cooler?
My screen has a bit warmer display than normal, while I use in-display fingerprint the screen is much cooler.

[Q] How to read the screen in daylight?

I'm new to this phone and new to smartphones.
The reviews of the SGS2 rave about the bright, readable screen - even outdoors. But, I can't even tell if it is turned on without ducking back inside! The screen appears black to me.
I'm panicking because I invested in the SGS2 (full purchase price!) largely as a navigation aid for bicycle touring. I need to be able pick out fine detail on a Google Earth image. It's beautiful stuff indoors, but under the sun...
So, please assume nothing and give me all your tips, settings and strategies - basic and otherwise - on using the phone in bright sunlight. Thanks,
Stan
what is your screen brightness at? I've had mine set at auto brightness and the phone does a pretty good job of adjusting the brightness up when i move into sunlight so that the screen is still readable.
if you're having a hard time seeing the screen outside, try turning the brightness up. you might have it set too low
It definitely should not look completely black when outdoors. Either there is something wrong with the screen or with your eyes. Try setting it to max brightness and see if there is any difference.
if you have it in auto, it would automatically adjust to match the lighting conditions
SMAOLED screens are super good in directly sunlight you can still read bright and crisp even when the sun is cooking your head at 35c outdoors in a hellish summer shine

[Q] Color off when display dim?

Anyone else notice this?
When my Lumia 900 display backlight is set on low, the colors seem... off. However, when its on high, they look normal.
I did not have any color issues like this with my old Focus.
I've noticed this to somewhat,I'm sure it has something to do with the amoled screen, I however have been having issues with WiFi,I never seem to get a good solid connection even when I'm in the same room as the router, sometimes itll work fine, but it acts as if it cuts in and out
Sent from my Nokia Lumia 900 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
Thats why I mentioned I had a Focus, I believe it has the same type of screen. Minus the Nokia ClearBlack of course.

I noticed this too. The screen seemed dingy and grainy. From what I've read, it's the nature of AMOLED technology and I think that color temperature scales more with the brightness setting compared to IPS handsets.
I also had a theory that the ClearBlack layer between the glass and the display may make the display grainier, as I've read it scatters the light or does something to make it less reflective but hinders the overall display at lower brightness.

My lockscreen image's colors look much much darker unless I put the screen brightness at mid or high.
Does your issue go away if you turn the brightness up?

Black Bleeding on Screen

So my screen is having issues when I scroll and I know this happens on this device. The question is do all the devices do this or is this just an issue with certain ones. Is my phone broke or will it be fixed with an update. The smearing is pretty bad and I notice it even with the brightness turned up.
Every OLED device I have has done it, but I haven't had an LCD device for a while. So I don't know if it's a characteristic of OLED screens or all screens. My last device was Samsung and had it pretty bad.
I'm having the same issue,
It bleeds/smears with dark/black color when used in dark i.e no light in the room.
I think it happens all the time, just that its visible and annoying when we use it in dark.
What did you do? Did you get it replaced?
Hi!
Same here... It seems normal, anyway with two years warranty if something is wrong with screen (black bleeding, burn in, ...) Google have to repair it or change the smartphone.
Regards!
It should only be visible in low brightness. It's normal for oled but the pixel 2 XL is a bit noticeable because Google set the gamma to high. So it can actually be improved through software.
If you see black smear etc during the day and any other time than maybe at night when the screen is at low brightness I would rma it
Seems like sensors are causing problem if move phone around in dark it will go away I have a case and tempered glass on phone

[Q] could the screen could be made a lot brighter in software

I'm currently experiencing a strange bug with my razerphone. After playing with the brightness settings, and switching off the adaptive brightness, it seems to have developed a bug where the screen is much brighter than usual. Viewing the screen at a brightness more than about 60% is almost painful to stare at.
I'm currently viewing the screen at 0% brightness, lol, and it's quite a normal brightness for me.
At a higher percentage I'm certain the screen would be viewable outside on the brightest of days.
So could the screen brightness be higher with a software tweak?
Sorry, I was high writing this.. The screen is acting normally today....
Bruhh dont razer when high. You might cut yourself. Cheers
??? best post ever
Don't do drugs kids. Sorry again ?

Ghosting on screen

Hey all,
I was looking at my phone, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, and I noticed some kind of ghosting or burn in or something. It looks like the image of icons that were on the screen, and are burned in. Any ideas? I included a pic I hope will explain better.
Running it in sunlight and/or brightness over 50%?
The pixels are wearing out from use. Blues go first, reds last generally from wear.
Use manual brightness control. Avoid use in direct sunlight. Keep brightness no higher than needs. Use dark mode and dark wallpapers.
Rotate widgets and icons.
My homepage and settings tweaked to minimize premature display wear.
Test it and see what you got:
Thanks for the insight. Is there any way to fix what has already happened?
Negative. It's a normal wear thing.
It's possible the manufacturing quality of that display wasn't good. See if you can badger Samsung into a warranty repair or reduced repair price. There have been a lot of issues across the board with variable refresh rate displays. One reason I stayed with the N10+.
Using dark mode and dark wallpapers will make less noticeable.
In the future take steps to prevent this with a new display. Yeah they get very bright but organic LEDs aren't as robust as their thicker non organic counterparts. Limit max or near max brightness to seconds not minutes. Avoid using in sunlight whenever possible. A 50% max limit except for some vids is sensible and helps a lot. Use lower levels in dimmer light, don't burn your retinas or display out.
