My internet speeds are really slow alot.. I've wiped the cache partition, uninstalled apps, switched between 5g and LTE modes, reset network preferences. They work for a little while but then my cellular data speed is back to a crawl. Any ideas?

I have been running nightlies for a bit and decided to settle on 8/8. Usually I'm connected via wifi however, last night I noticed my phone no longer gets 3g or any data link. Is there a hidden setting? Under mobile network settings, I have data enabled, beyond that I can't figure it out.
I have tried full wipes and backups, re-installing cm6, re installing kernals, wimax and radio all to no avail.
no getting a notification that says "data roaming- you have lost data connectivity because you left your home network with...(can't read the rest off screen"
CM has data roaming off by default..have you tried turning data roaming on?

Yes, I was on the verizon network, odd though it wouldn't turn on data roaming for some reason. All my work was to no avail anyway, the tower near me is down. I just assumed it was working. No it get all my data back up. Thanks for your response.
I have been having this problem ever since I tried updating PRI to 1.40_003. I've tried the factory reset method and the data profile reset method, both from home and 150 miles away from home to no avail.
I had roaming data working perfectly prior to this. In mobile network settings I have enabled mobile data and roaming network is automatic. I was running Fresh 3.1.2 when this started and since updated to Fresh 3.2 with a full wipe and still nothing.
I can't roam at home or 150 miles away so I know it's not a problem on my area. I have loaded techknowfile's 00001 PRL file, and that way I have data working while roaming. The problem is that PRL is not good for me because most of the time I have great Sprint signal, and that PRL forces Verizon's towers. I need roaming only at work.
I can make calls while roaming just fine, my only problem is data. I tried calling Sprint and they had no clue. Someone please help!!!

Ok, so I threw that at the window and learned how to do a reset! Now how do you change the settings to force 3g and drop edge? I read it on here somewhere but seem to find it now!
I you force edge out ,obviously your battery drains faster, but does it just revert back to the original settings after syncing? Also , the memory usage seems to be higher on 3g ?
i dont kno if the signal reverts back but i do with the 3g using more data because 3g is a faster network an then pushes more data on to the device, edge is a slower network that so less data to process thats why 3g uses more prossesing power i had edge for a wile but now 3g
This is annoying me, all data connections work and only 3g won't work.
I'm using the 30_2 radio and never really noticed any problems. But right now it will take a data disable/enable to get up from 3g to HSDPA again. When the 3g icon is up it does get an IP in the 188.x.x.x range, I can see data outgoing but now it doesn't step up to HSDPA anymore it just stays at 3g with no data incoming.
Any suggestions, I'm at a loss
Got a bit of a weird issue with my 5x.
Basically when I am in one location (and only that location) everything seems OK with H+ showing on data but it will not connect whatsoever. All that will work is to clean cache and dalvik and then it works. Been there a few times watching basketball and it's the only location this happens. Happened with stock PN and now with Krexus.
Not a big issue at all as I should be watching the basketball but it's got me baffled. Maybe the clearing cache is just a placebo.
Things I have tried:
Data off then back on.
Wifi off
Search networks
Select networks automatically
Select Network manually
a few other things too.
Am in the UK and on O2.
Any ideas why this is so?
