Hey guys im planning to buy one but i have couple of concerns i hope gets answered.
1. Does it have a map feature like i can see where exactly on the map i went the entire day?
2. If yes, will it update even if im not connected to the phone? I need a map with markings on where i went.
3. Do gps need to be turned on or just bluetooth for the map feature if it does support it.
4. Is the vibration as strong as that of the phone or weaker?
5. By any chance i can only use it for notification amd turn off all other feature to save more battery? Or am i forced to the battery drain even if i will only use it for the vibration notification?
6. Does the led light up when you have notifications? Like a constant blinking?
7. Lastly, how many vibrates if i recieve a msg? Is it like 2 vibrate, 1 long vibrate, 1 short vibrate etc.
I would appreciate some answers. I wanted to make sure i dont get dissapointed before buying one cause its not cheap..

1. No it has no native GPS capability. You would need to use Tracks or a similar app with the phone to achieve this.
2. No.
3. GPS does not need to be switched on.
4. The vibration is fairly strong.
5. The other functions do not use much battery, you can turn off the alarm and out of range function. The out of range function is hyper sensitive and triggers really easily so turning that off may save some battery. In practice the battery seems to consistently last around 5 days per charge.
6. The led will flash slowly until you read the notification on the phone.
7. You get two short vibrations for a notification, when the phone rings it will vibrate constantly if you have that function enabled.

1-2. If you bring your phone and sony core together, it will record where you go on map. You can review it in lifelog app.
3. If you wd like to see where you go, gps should be turned on.
4. Strong enough.
5. Now it have 3 notification functions only: for notifications (sms, fb and any app you want), for phone call, for function of out of range. You can turn it off any time.
6. Yes, It lights up for notifications and phone.
7. Just short vibrate for sms or out of range, long vibrate for phone call.
Hey guys.
I just contacted Motorola to request some new features be added to the stock ROM (which in my opinion) would be crucial to increasing the functionality and battery levels of the watch.
Don't know if any Motorola Dev's/Engineers are following this site but just in case, I'd love to have these features asap.
Please add more if there is anything I have missed.
1. Have the ability to turn Vibrate OFF while still receiving notifications on the watch
Why ? Because I have my phone in my pocket constantly, and my phone vibrates when a new notification comes up. I dont need my pocket and my wrist vibrating together.
Also, Increase battery life.
2. Need to have the ability to turn off notifications for certain apps. For Example, I want the watch to vibrate when an SMS or Email comes through, but turned off for Messenger, kik, and everything else.
Also, by having this feature, Im sure a developer could write up a small app to install onto the phone which would tell the watch which notifications to vibrate for, and which to just display on the screen.
And again, this will save battery life by turning the vibrate motor off for (in my case) 90% of the notifications coming through.
3. Have a slider to control the level of vibration or the burst of vibration.
Why ? This adds a level of customization to the watch.
Also, I see people complaining that the watch doesn't vibrate enough while in my case, its vibration time is too long. By having the ability to shortening the vibrate time, you also save battery life (if not by much).
By having all 3 features embedded into the ROM, On the average user, it should increase battery life by almost double (if not more).

Pretty neat ideas. I have one id like to add lol. I want to be able to turn off motion detection for the screen. I had this feature on my galaxy gear and it gave me an day and half EXTRA battery with it turned off. We could get similar battery life (3-4 days with average use, custom rom too) if this was disabled. I had to always press the button to turn the screen on to check the time, but notifications still lit the screen up when they came in. Totally worth an extra 24-36 hours of battery . However i like the idea of being able to tap the screen to wake the moto360.
So basically I want motion detection disabled but leave tap to wake on.
Can't you turn off notifications for certain apps in the Android Wear app (mute apps)?

Im not talking about turning off notifications all together.
I was talking about turning off the vibration for certain apps, but still having the notifications pushed to the Moto360 display.
Number 2 can already be done you can go to the Android Wear App in Setting Click Block App Notification then Pick Whatever App u want to mute

I like this idea because sometimes it's hard getting the watch to light up with motion, so turning off that feature for when it does work would be fine.
In my case, I have the phone vibration turned off and rely on the watch to deliver notifications.
My one and only important feature request is the ability to create my own canned response list.
Of course, official support for 3rd party keyboards would be nice as well.
Bluetooth LE Peripheral Mode
I'm not sure if they intend to include Bluetooth LE Peripheral Mode in their Lollipop release. Google chose not to include peripheral mode for the Nexus 5 and Nexus 7, although it is included with the newer Nexus 6 and 9. But for Android Wear, Peripheral Mode would enable a huge number of new and useful apps, that would significantly improve the usefulness of the watch. The simplest one would be a beacon to help you find your watch when you forgot where you left it, but enabling service solicitation would open a whole new world of applications for the watch.
#1 has worked since day one.
I get a notification, my phone remains silent, the watch vibrates. It's in the AW app settings.
according to me, since the watch has a inbuilt mic, a feature can be added that when someone calls, answer from the watch, just speak that you'll call back later & disconnect. this will be helpful if you are driving... no need to pick the phone ...

Good list, I have one more. Allow the setting of alarms for only certain days. For example, I would like to be able to set an alarm at 7 PM that goes off only on weekdays and not weekends, as I use this to let me know when I can get into the car pool lane when I am driving back home from work. That alarm is useless on the weekend, so no need for it to be turned on every day.

I am still wondering which watch support Bluetooth peripheral?
As I know LG G watch 5.0.1 do not support it.
if (mBluetoothAdapter.isMultipleAdvertisementSupported()) {
will return false.
on mine the whole notification thing is messed up..
sometimes it will vibrate and pop up when i get a text or email.. but then sometimes it doesnt do anything at all.
hardly ever, does it vibrate when i get a fb IM.. but it pops up and the screen lights up.
maybe they should fix it first before adding anything.

Pretty sure vibration is app dependent. Example, 8sms. You can change the vibration length in the settings. If you set your phone to 1000ms vibration when you get a text your phone AND watch will vibrate for 1000ms(or whatever vibration pattern you set) To further my point I would NEVER feel the vibration of Snapchat updates because it was so short. I'm using xposed(gravity box) to change snapchats vibration length and I feel the notification on my watch and phone every time.
I agree 100% google should have a universal setting to be able to change vibration, notification, and screen light up settings.

I have.
Hello, ok this has been bugging me really bad. My main use for a smartwatch apart from telling the time is to know when I have notifications when my phone is on silent.
Since maybe marshmallow on my Z5 I think the "do not disturb" feature is also applying to my watch.
My expected outcome for when my phone is in that mode is for my watch to vibrate when a message or call comes through hence I know there is a notification there.
It used to work like that and so did my other Sony smartwatches I have had however now it does not.
Am I missing a crucial setting or something?
The notifications come through fine but when in that mode there is no vibrate.
Thank you
Yes, I also have this... problem?
I have Marshmallow installed on my Z3 Compact and when I apply "Do not disturb" mode to my phone, the watch only displays notifications but does not vibrate at all. I think that's the main purpose of this mode.
Main purpose of the mode on the phone yes but surely not the watch

Yes... I agree and somehow miss Lollipop's priority option, it worked pretty nice sometimes.
I set two time profiles to control dnd setting automatically for the night.
First I set it to priority. Second profile then resets it to none as that removes the priority icon from toolbar. I realised that all sounds are gone after that.
If I set it to all, priority icon stays in status bar.
I tried also to do just a single profile with ending time, but that also left priority icon to the bar.
Is there a way to get priority mode to work with tasker?
What are you trying to achieve? If it's setting DnD for the night automatically, you don't need tasker for it. Have you tried using automatic rules in DnD settings?

Adjusting volume is not that good.. Nothing comes through with that. I'd like to be reachable by phone for known callers. I quess we have to wait cyanogen to fix the rom
I've had the same issue. Tasker will remove the 'priority' status but screws up the volumes. The only way round it at the moment is to leave slider in normal, use tasker to set priority when needed, then on return to 'normal' from tasker move slider to mid position then back to normal. This seems to reset volumes back to normal. Hopefully oneplus can sort out this DND issue and allow software to override the slider.
Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
I've found a way. Leave slider in mid position (priority) and use the inbuilt priority settings to allow normal audio to be heard. I've got tasker to set DND to priority and volume to 3. When full DND is needed, set tasker DND to 'alarms'. This kills all audio except alarms. Use tasker to go back to DND 'priority' for normal use. This does leave a constant priority notification at the top but audio seems to work. By using tasker/audio/silent mode, you can create a vibrate only mode that stops audio but keeps vibrate notifications with respect to the priority mode settings at a system level.

Good catch! You can delete the constant priority notification through Customisation/ Status bar

Nice one! You can then add custom tasker notify icons to display silent or vibrate modes.

One thing I realised is that having the slider in the mid position i don't get any notifications (without activating DnD).
Any thoughts?

Mine seems to work. On the alert slider settings make sure you have calls and messages set to 'everyone' under the priority settings. For other apps like Gmail or WhatsApp, go to 'app notifications' under sound and notifications and set them to notify when in priority mode. This is a bit of a pain but gets over the software controlled notifications issue until oneplus can sort something out.

Aha! Key was to set all apps under "app notifications" to notify when in priority! Now i think its working!
Many thanks!
I know it's a kind of trolling but somebody may not realise this - by using CM13 you have the best of both worlds built in.
You have stock android DND (automatic) and you can also customise what the button does. [I don't use neither of these features but noticed them in CM settings panel while setting up my device]
Hey @yourmate
Anything else missing/not working properly beside Dash Charge on CM? I am waiting to make sure it is stable (one thing I cannot afford are random reboots). For example, I am not using them, but curious, are the Op3 gestures available or gone? (V and O to enable flashlight/Camera - CM's anywhere gesture was not great I thought)
Automated DnD is for me the main issue on Op3, and I also liked CM's auto-brightness/Night mode. Kind of feel going back several years haha

TBH I haven't used OOS for a second so I cannot really compare the two but I've bought this phone only for two reasons anyway:

With OOS 3.2.2 DND works correctly with tasker!
Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
I can also confirm everything seems fixed in OOS 3.2.2. I can set the alert slider to any position and then run a tasker task to set vibrate only, all audio or silent mode. The slider can be used to override the tasker setting but tasker can be run again to re establish the desired sound profile.

I can confirm that this is resolved with OOS 3.2.2
Strange that my device couldn't find the 3.2.2 update. Installed it manually via TWRP without problem though.
"Silent mode" in Miui triggers "do not disturb" on smart watch???
Hello all,
I use a Huawei Smart watch with my brand new Mi Max Helium phone - which has the most recent global Miui rom installed.
I prefer to receive vibrating alerts on my watch - with no sound on the phone.
On my other phones I select "silent" mode on the phone and the watch (as well as the phone) vibrate when calls come in.
On the Mi Max the moment I select "silent", the watch goes in "Do not disturb" mode and no vibrations are delivered...
It also works in the reverse: if I select "do not disturb" on the watch, "silent" mode is activated on the phone.
So somehow those two toggles are mixed up as the "do not disturb" on the watch should be linked to DND on the phone
Is there any fix for this?
Thank you for any suggestions
Update: this is apparently a know issue - and there seems to be no clear fix. My smart watch has to work - so time now to explore alternative roms...

Is there a solution for this problem now? On Pure Nexus I had no problem, but back on Global Miui there is the problem with the DND Mode on the Smartwatch, if I switch to silent in Miui.
