Internet connectivity issue after updating to Android 10 - Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Questions & Answers

(Sorry I initially posted in the wrong forum S10)
I have this issue: No mobile data connection since updating to Android 10 on 12/31/2019. WiFi is working fine. Tried wiping the cache partition, restarting, resetting network. Tried calling carrier (Redpocket/Verizon) who did provisioning and taking out SIM card and reinserting/restarting. When switching SIM card to another phone (Galaxy S8+ using Android 9), no issue (Internet worked just fine). But another SIM card on my cell phone (Note 10+) didn't work either. So clearly the issue is with my phone (after the software update), not carrier.
Took the phone to local Samsung store on 1/2/2020. Was told I was the first one reporting this since the Android 10 roll-out. They suggested a "flash factory reset" (remove everything and install from scratch) which I was very hesitant to do. Then they suggested waiting for a patch to be released, if there will be one ever.
Now that I have tried to backed up everything on my own. I did "factory reset". Voice call and texting are working. But mobile data is still not working. Plan to take it back to Samsung for their "flash factory reset". It is 3 hours drive to the closest Samsung authorized repair store, now I have relocated to another area. Any advice?

No Connection to Carrier, please help!

Ok, so I updated my s3 to 4.1.1 but after a week of using the update, I still hadn't seen any sign of the expandable notification options. So I decided to re-install the update by flashing via Odin, which I did. After the flash, the expandable notifications still weren't available, so I instead flashed the stock firmware, hoping to update from stock and see if the problem was fixed. Unfortunately when I rebooted after the stock install, my phone would no longer connect to data, or even to the network period. I can't text, make calls, or connect to data. It shows full bars but when I try to do anything it tells me the network is unavailable.
I tried a lot of options for fixing it:
-I checked all my network settings. Data was on, I switched into and out of airplane mode, no luck.
-I tried to set my network operator by manually selecting tmobile. No luck.
-I tried re-entering T-Mobile's APN settings. No luck.
-I tried to restore from a backup I made of my 4.1.1 when it was first updated. No luck.
-I tried flashing multiple versions of stock firmware, as well as cm10. No luck.
-I checked my IMEI, it's correct.
-I flashed a few different modems. No luck.
I've run out of ideas and I can't find any other ideas in the forums. The closest I have come to getting a fix was during one instance when I was flashing stock again, I cleared my cache, dalvik cache, and did a factory reset as well as formatting my internal storage. When it did the first boot it had service for about thirty seconds. I was able to receive a few waiting text messages, and I had edge data for the remainder of the 30 second or so period. Then I lost data again. Every time I boot a notification ticks on my status bar that says "Restricted Access Changed" and before I can pull down and tap it, the notification is gone. When I try to set a Network Operator, it says something along the lines of "Unable to connect, not registered on the network." I'm stumped.
Has anybody else had this problem, and does anybody know how to fix it?
Just a guess, but perhaps T-Mobile has blocked your IMEI? Did you buy the phone off of someone or straight from T-Mobile?
Did you ever report it lost or stolen?
Only thing I can think of given your scenario.

I bought it through Costco as an authorized upgrade offer by T-Mobile. I can't imagine any reason why my IMEI would be blocked. I went to the t-mobile store yesterday and they told me that it should be working and that I should take it back to Costco and see if they can do anything for me in terms of replacement.
Problem Solved!
Apparently it was because when I got my phone they didn't give me the upgraded sim, they just cut my current one to fit the microsim slot. Go figure. This could have been solved by tmobile last night if the guy hadn't refused to help me just because I had rom manager installed on my phone. Just because I have a root program installed on my phone doesn't mean my phone got messed up playing around with root. Anyways, i updated my sim card through tmobile's phone service and I'm a happy camper now!

Mobile Network Not Available

Hey guys,
This may be a silly question, but I can't seem to find a solution.
I just flashed PAC-ROM 4.3 using CWM, and everything seems to be working great.
Than I realized I didn't have a mobile network signal, so I tried placing a call and it said "No mobile network detected".
How can I enable mobile network, cause it's not even in the settings no more?
I have the exact same problem, anyone with any kind of possible solution? Here's what I tried already:
1. Removed both battery/SIM for a minute or more then rebooted. (Also made sure that 2G was off)
2. Called a Koodo tech guy who updated the SIM.
3. Went in store to try and put my SIM in a different phone, SIM worked fine.
4. Lady tried installing a different SIM card (her own), still same problem. Tried a brand new one, still not working.
5. Backed up my pictures and factory reset the phone. Same problem.
6. Took SIM out, and the phone does recognize there is not a SIM card and now the phone gives me the NO SIM CARD message at unlock screen.
7. Updated to 4.3 - Nothing changes.
8. Browsed the internet for hours then cried myself to sleep, hoping someone would help me out eventually.
I had the same problem with revolt ROM. I flashed baseband and wiped all data but nothing changed...
I flash a factory image and it worked
Sorry for my bad english

D855 Sim Error

Hi, I have a problem with my device. Disclaimer: I'm very noob so please be patient.
I'm starting to get SIM CARD REMOVED error since i changed my network provider. My previous sim card was not LTE, just 3g and it had no problem with the device. The new sim card is LTE. It took me literally 5 days after enjoying the new network provider till my device acting weirdly.
Before changing, I upgraded to MM. Originally my device does not support LTE, but then I played with the system (sorry for bad terminologies) and make the feature available. No problem detected with old sim card.
So, I tried the old fashioned way; Hard Reset. I had the device reset twice but nothing changes. Frustrated of the constant automatic reboot, I wiped all system, delvik, cache, etc using TWRP. Then i installed CM13 and use it as my OS. It works well. I got the signal with LTE data. Realizing that the ROM does not come along with Google Play Store, i installed gapps. Soon after restarting the phone, the signal only lasts for an hour then it says " NO DATA SIM". I figured a temporary solution which is, rebooting the device after you lost the signal. It is just temporary though. The signal will once again lost.
What I have tried: 1) Locking the simcard while the phone still got its signal.
2) Changing values using this guide-> http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/help/annoying-lg-g3-problem-lte-signal-solved-t3293721
* My sim reader does not seem to be having any defect.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Crashed mobile data ?

Hi
I have problems with my mobile data since yesterday. Im not what ive done, but right after emptying my trash (~2gb's) i lost my mobile data connection completely. I see signal, LTE 4G+ sign but all sites are unreachable. I did several things
- scanned phone for viruses and junk with Cleanb Master (nothing...)
- rebooted
- turned off and on
- rebooted into recovery (p2's based recovery, not twrp) and wiped cache.
- reseted my carrier settings, all, as well with APN name etc.
Nothing helps. Any ideas what may have happened ? I inserted this sim card into other phone and it works fine, there is mobile data connection active and working.
Is there some way to repair android ? Some repair tool, some mobile data package (extract from rom) to flash ? Im running 6.0.1 and at all cost i wanna avoid upgrading system to Nougat because of horrible battery life. I know what im talking about, i used to have N on P2 several months back. Never more!

Anyone having a data roaming issue with Oreo?

Hey all, I'm a Canadian truck driver that has an (unlocked) S7 Active (on T-Mobile) that I've recently upgraded to Oreo via Odin. The phone works better than ever except now when I'm in Canada, network data no longer works properly. I say properly because every once in a while it will connect long enough to receive a few emails then will disconnect again. But most of the time it just doesn't connect. The data roaming worked perfectly on Nougat (BRA7).
Here's what i've done so far:
Clean install of Oreo (CRE7) via Odin 3.13.1
Factory reset via recovery
Cleared Cache via recovery
Data doesn't connect properly.
Downloaded CRE7 again in case it was a bad download.
Repeated the flashing, factory reset, and clearing of the cache just in case something went wrong.
Data still not working properly.
Updated from CRE7 to CRH1
Updated from CRH1 to CRJ1
Cleared cache
Restarted phone, cycled airplane mode, #766#
Data still not working properly
Bought a new SIM thinking that may be the problem. But no change with the data.
And yes mobile data and international data are turned on in the phone.
When I flashed the phone I was at home in Canada. So I thought maybe it would have to connect to a T-Mobile tower to get the proper network settings. So on my next trip to the US, the data worked perfectly in the US once it connected to a T-mobile tower. But once back in Canada it stopped working again.
When I manually try to switch to a Canadian network (Bell, Telus or Rogers), I will get the message "Disconnect Network... Unable to search for networks while data service is in use. Stop using current data service and search for other available networks?" Which I find strange because the phone isn't connected to data.
I have found a temp solution to getting the LTE to work by opening an app that requires location data (in my case it was Weigh My Truck), and that seems to force the phone to connect to the LTE network.
I've bought a 2nd s7 active to have as a spare phone and won't be updating it until Oreo is 100% stable on the S7 active.
Does anyone else have this issue? Is there a permanent fix?
