Hi,
I received the one ui 2.0 update, but I everything is running smoothly, but the new option to have the select keyboard and hide it at the bottom is really really pissing me off, a week ago I had my right hand operated on, and I'm really poor typing with my left hand.
Is there any way that I can hide this option?
Please help

Not sure to understand you. If the "hide keyboard button" is the problem, try in Settings -> Display -> Nav Bar -> then turn off the "show button to hide keyboard" option. Hope this helps.

I got rid of that black bar that way (Settings -> Display -> Nav Bar -> then turn off the "show button to hide keyboard"), however I'm using stock Samsung keyboard, not Swiftkey.
Also, try disabling the keyboard you're not using, so you'd be getting rid of both "hide and select" keyboard options.
If they don't dissappear that way, it may be Swiftkey's issue then.
Thank you! That was driving me crazy, too. Your solution fixed it.

Hello bought this phone for my wife and I don't want to root. What's the best app to enable swipe down to expand notifications please?
Try Apex launcher, go to setting/gesture...
Hope it could help you.
Go to Setttings -> Display -> Advanced Settings -> Home touch buttons -> Button combination -> you can add a shortcut to the nav bar that expands notifications.

You sir are a star. I have used Android for a while, but didn't think this would be a feature on a stock rom. I think this needs sticking somewhere. I know that launchers as mentioned by loxa, have this feature but wanted to leave everything as stock. So thanks dhka.

First off, let me say that I love that the G3 comes with a setting to hide the soft keys. The only complaint I have is it takes too long to go away once you bring it up. If you don't know what I mean go into an application bring it up and go home and see how long it stays.
I used an application called UND Navbar and it works great, you can choose to hide the bar as soon as you press a button. The only downside is the fact that you can't use the split screen and other button combinations the g3 has, you're stuck with the traditional soft keys.
Is anyone aware of an app or an Xposed Module that would allow me to have the navigation bar hide once I click one of the buttons?

I have that and I've looked through. I don't see any settings for that.
Could you guide me to what you are talking about, because I can't find it.

Hey dude i was using UND aswell problem is its quite slow, and often it glitches or buttons dont work.
I tried many methods, by far the best one is "Auto hide soft keys" off the market - its VERY snappy and you can adjust the miliseconds for it to minimize OR just get it to minimize once you hit the key.

UND was lightning fast for me but the problem was it doesn't give you the split screen and drop down options that the lg soft keys have. It's the same problem with GMD.

Like what?
Split screen works for me with GMD enabled, but you may mean something else.

How do you get it to work? It disappears from the bar when I turn the app on.

Go to the recents window, select Dual Window - Slide first app UP - slide 2nd app DOWN, use as normal, touch the bottom when you want the nav bar to reappear.
Okay, that makes sense. I feel pretty stupid right now considering I see that option every single time I go to the recents window.

After updating my unlocked HTC 10 to Android 7, I noticed "menu button" option in display settings. There is a check mark, but I don't know what it does.
I'd guess it's giving you the option of having the new one on screen, or continue using the capacitive button. Just a guess tho
Can I ask what build No you have?

You mean the three line hamburger menu button? It's just an addition to get to most used setting options quickly. It's not only in display, it's on other settings menus as well
I don't really see any changes when I toggle "menu option" in the display settings.

I selected that and didn't see any difference until I opened JetAudioPlus. There was a menu icon on the right bottom corner of the app.I think some apps make it visible,to make the menu easy to reach.Bu when I click it it still opens the menu on the upper right corner.I think the option is there because someone may need it in some apps.I don't need it.So I disabled it.
Is there some way I can use the right "recent apps" button as a real menu button??
I already tried Button mapper app by Flar and it doesn't have that function.
Did they get rid of the option to long press the recent apps button for menu? If so, that's lame...

Yes they did. Somebody who has a twitter account should write to Mo Versi or Graham Wheeler so that they are aware of this issue!

Yes there is.. I've got a thread in the guides section. Find it and it'll show you the location of the file to edit. Can't remember off the top of my head.
HI anyone have wall paper that can hide the notch in Galaxy A50
share the wallpaper please
Just install the Nacho Notch from play store. It works beautifully on our phone.
Thanks! DIdn't want to root my phone yet so I''m surprised there's an app that does this without root. Kind of got used to the notch though...going to see if I like this notchless look better
This app have good wallpapers: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.paolo4c.wallpaper
To hide the notch in Galaxy A50,
Go to Settings.
Tap on Display.
Tap full Screen Apps
Now, three dots, and select "Advanced Options"
You will find “Hide camera cutout” option.
If you enable it, the notch will disappear.
If you want notch back, disable the “Hide camera cutout” option.

How can I customize my phone to turn off screen by a double tap somewhere, like at the top on the notification bar? On my old phoneI could do this and I think it may have been an option in Gravity Box. I know there's the option to turn off the screen when double taping an empty area on home screen. But I would prefer something more accessible. Anyone know of any working Magisk modules that allow for this customization?
You can do this natively via motion & gesture settings if you are on One UI 3.0

Sorry if I wasn't clear but I mean from any screen, not just the home screen. I think it was an option in gravity box to double tap the status bar at the top to turn off the screen.

The closest setup I could find was One Hand Operation, by Samsung. You are not double tapping, but you can swipe from ANY screen.
