Hey guys, wanna know in your opinion, dose this Battery behavior normal?
What's the screen on time? This image doesn't show enough info to make a conclusion.
Screen on time could be between 7 and 10 hours on a full battery if everything is OK.

Hey guys. First thread.
On average, under battery use, my (AMOLED) display uses around 75% of my battery. I can usually get around 3 hours of display time before my battery dies.
I'm running Cyanogenmod 7.0.3, I've got SetCPU on 245min 614max, ONDEMAND.
The kernel is untouched, but I will consider changing it soon once I find one thats good with battery life.
So then, how much display time do you all get? As this seems to be the main battery eater. This basically reflects on how long you've used the phone too.
By the way, brightness levels fluctuate between 75% and 100%. So yeah its always bright too.
Thanks in advance for the posts. It's appreciated
I've never found Battery Use to be accurate on Gingerbread roms for some reason. It always seems to take a high percentage (around 50%?) despite the phone being used maybe 10 minutes a day and lasting without a charge for up for 2 days 12 hours.
Froyo (when I had Sense) didn't have Display taking up a high percentage and looked more accurate of how the battery was being used.
I don't seem to have the standard Android OS killing my battery, but I am still losing battery fast and it seems to be coming from the screen. I have turned down my screen to 10-20% (30 second turn off delay) with no change really.
Screen is normally eating 40-50% of the battery. Android OS only has 14%. Anyone getting similar numbers?

Yes. But in the evening when I plug my phone to the charger before I go to sleep, it still has around 30% battery. I'm quite happy with the battery usage so far.

Good to know, I am a verizon user. I only had the phone since yesterday, so I am hoping this is just a battery burn in thing and my battery life will improve.
Today is my first full day to test my normal battery conditions.. and I am experiencing the same.
45% is currently going to the screen and 20 to the OS.
It still looks like i'll squeek by with about 9 hours of battery life (which is alright).
I refuse to have the screen at anything other than 100% brightness though.

Can u provide some more details please? How much screen time are you getting on this phone on a charge? I've been getting like 3.25 - 3.5 house on a charge.

There's your problem.
It's a beautiful screen, especially at full brightness, but I'm fairly certain you can hear the battery sobbing quietly if you listen closely.
Uploaded a screenshot of my battery performance today. It's 9 PM over here, about 2 hours to go before it gets juice again. My screen brightness is set to auto.

Let me finish the charge today and I will get these numbers for you. I am just through 60% for the day.
Hi
My GN is a australian GSM version
My batt life sux as does everybody elses i am guessing
Need help on the screen brightness which chews the batt in my understanding as u can see from the pictures
Normally i keep my screen to auto brightness at night sometimes i chnage it to 0% as its still bright enough for me.
1) i dont wish to root my phone as i find it too complicated
2) Should i update manually to 4.0.4? does it help the battery im a bit shakey bout the signal loss drama it causes.
3) is the extended battery really worth the money?
4) has any1 in australia got a OTA push notification?
any tips on savin battery and the screen not chewing 60% of the battery would be greatly appreciated
regards
N
That's still pretty bad.... what's your Awake / Screen On times? You should use something like "Better Battery Stats" to see if theres something keeping your phone awake.
Your screen will always be the top of your usage. If its not, either you didn't turn your screen on for like 10 hours or something is wrong. My screen is regularly 60%-80% of my battery drain. Welcome to a big 720P AMOLED screen.
The extended battery is only 14% bigger than stock so its not gonna drastically turn things around. Looks like you have some kinda system problem keeping your battery drained (again depending on what your Awake / Screen On times are).
Try BBS as mentioned above along with CPUspy to see if your phone enters deep sleep when the screen is off.
IMO nothing can be done on the drain when the screen is on, but I have noticed that if the phone does not enter deep sleep during screen off, the battery drain is quite heavy indeed.
Guys i need your advice on what to do. I've checked a few battery test reviews on the s3 online and they post screenshots showing (example) 3hr 46min screen on time and the % of the battery it used was 34%. My phone right now has had 52min of screen on time and has used 38%. I have a serious battery drain issue with the screen. What should i do?
Turn down your brightness. Turn off Auto. Darker wallpapers. And not trying to be smart or funny here, but turn your screen off.
I listen to music all day long and don't have the screen on that whole time. Sure I am on XDA, browser, MLB At-Bat and a few others that I need the screen for, but I'd say that the majority of my day the screen is off.

You do realize those numbers change right? That doesn't mean your screen is using more battery than it should. It means that out of the battery you have used, the screen has accounted for that percentage. The screen will be the biggest power draw on the device if you are actively using it anyways.
turn ur brightness down instead of setting it to auto
Hi, I am getting a really weird pattern with my A70 battery. Basically, when I take my phone off charge at 100%, it goes down to 90% within about 20-30 mins (If that). But, it then takes at least 1-2 hours to go down from 90-80% 80-70% etc.. (Same usage pattern). I was thinking maybe a battery calibration is needed but I'm not 100% sure. Any ideas?
Not sure

I'm also facing same issue after recent software update.. Random / weird pattern with battery.
It also take random time to get full charge
I'm also thinking to do battery calibration after looking for a week
