Android System keeps stopping?? - Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Questions & Answers

I'm not sure what happened, but I have received the Android 10 with updated Samsung one ui on note 10 plus..
Ever since the update, anytime I attempt to share something, the available options pop up to choose from such as sms, email, Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook etc., I just get an error "android system has stopped working"
So for example if take a screenshot and hit the share button... Or in chrome and click menu options then share... Or even in gallery, select a pic then share, same error.
Does anyone have this issue and/or any suggestions to fix?
Thanks in advance

You may have done it but i'd try a factory reset and see if that fixes the issue..

Its a bad installation, or some app is messing with android 10, the best you can do is make a cache clear, if that is not working you will have to do a factory reset

[Q] Contacts Storage: Clear Data - Exactly what does this do?

Context:
Verizon Galaxy Nexus, Stock ROM, Android 4.1.1.
When I check in Settings...Accounts...Google...
It shows a Sync Error for my account. At the bottom of the screen it says:
Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly.
If I then click on my [email protected]
All of the entries are checked and properly synced, and up to date, except Contacts. It says 'Last Synced 4/20/2012..."
Despite this, Contact additions or edits that I make on my phone do in fact get synced to my other devices. And Contact additions or edits that I make elsewhere do get synced to my phone.
So, this appears to be a faulty error message. Since everything is working right, I'm reluctant to do anything major to try and clear the message, for fear of actually creating a functional problem. And yet, it bugs me that it's there.
One of the frequently suggested solutions is to go to Settings...Apps...Contacts Storage...
And once there, hit "Clear Data".
So my question is what exactly happens when "Clear Data" is hit? I want to eliminate the potential for inadvertently deleting my contacts overall, don't want to create new problems, etc., so would like a little more information about what this does or doesn't do.
And, if someone has any insight on another way to get rid of this message, that would be appreciated as well.
Thanks!
Anybody have any information here??
Thanks.
Try this
Hi, i face the same problem. After few hrs search in Internet, I found a way to solve it, so far it works.
Go to Google Play and install this apps: Contacts Sync Fix
Run the apps
Go to setting, open Google account and try to sync again.
It should be OK then.
Hope it helps.

Very interesting! Looks like it just came out this month. This is an incredibly common problem, if you read Google's "support" forums, which I find hard to believe how this is such a core function of the whole Google enterprise.
I wonder what this App is doing behind the scenes, or actually how it does it. All of the reviews so far are very positive, although there are only 11 of them at this time. I'll probably monitor this for a bit, and then try it out.
Thanks!
I exchanged a quick email with the Author, and went ahead and installed and ran the Contacts Sync Fix App. It identified a single problem, fixed it, and my error message is now gone, and sync continues to work fine. I went ahead and bought the ad-free version for $.99 - I have no idea if a problem will recur in the future, but I'll now be able to fix it. And besides, he fixed something Google has been unable or unwilling to do!
This solved my same problem

no i dont think its because of that.i see that the SUI restarts somehow. It might be because of the incompatibility of the facebook application to the screen resolution of the G3??i really dont have a clue about whats going on.ive read several posts about chromecast crashes on several forums.
Any ideas?
I have the same problem when in ART mode. Revert back to default mode fix the issue.

[Q] Box appeared on my app. Do I have a bug or virus?

Totally Newbie to site, not totally green to computers . Had my note tablet 10.1 2014 for 1yr. Had an app (Pinterest) the whole time. Just recently a box showed up on the app. I don't know what it is and can't get it to go away.
This box only appears on my tablet app, It doesn't do anything when you try to click it, nothing. Have Pinterest on 2 other galaxy phone's doesn't show up in either . All 3 devices have same gmail account. I tried manually reset, manual clear partition cache, 3 times. I run AVG nothing comes up. Delete app and reload, same box appears. I am afraid to delete and reload on other phones to see if it happens. I can see Pinterest through a browser, but I am more worried I have a bug or virus or corrupted partition. I did send pic to Pinterest, waiting for reply. In the meantime thought I would ask some experts. It's driving me crazy that this thing won't go away. Any suggestions or help would be way appreciated.
Update: It is my account, I opened new account in hubbys name and email, on another tablet where my gmail account is primary, NO BOX!!! Thank you in advance for any help. I will have to figure out what it is now.
The problem seems to be known to Pinterest support and they are apparently working on it.

THANK U
Now I know I am not going crazy or have a "bug" on my end. Thank you Iternetpilot. :good:

Text message pop-ups gone?

I am probably one of the rare few that actually like the text message pop-up/preview when receiving a message. If I'm using another app or playing a game it enabled me to quickly reply without stopping what I was doing to go to the messaging app.
For some reason the pop-ups no longer work (I'm not sure they ever have since I got my G4). I have checked and unchecked the options in messaging settings several times, cleared cache and data of messaging app, rebooted, set lock screen to show all notifications etc. Even after doing all that the pop-up still does not show. All I get is the sound and the message symbol in the notification bar.
My phone is rooted, and I used the build prop edit to enable all apps in dual window. Other than that I haven't messed with anything else. Can someone give me an idea how to fix this? Is anyone else having the same problem? I really hope I can get it figured out without having to factory reset or something.

I'm also using G4 but unlike you, I hate the style of the pop up. i just decided to officially shut it down. Anyways, go to the settings of your message -> notifications-> then make sure to check the preview and pop up, and of course the notification as well. Hope it helps.
Yep, I've done that several times as I said in my original post. Still not working. I don't know if rooting and disabling some bloat had anything to do with it but it'd be nice to have it working again...

I don't mean to sound rude, but it's obvious neither you, or the other poster, carefully read the original post...i wrote in the second paragraph that I HAVE cleared the app cache, no change.

Oh sorry dude, didn't notice that part.
I think the build prop change screws it up, considering it's a stock application. One thing that I would suggest to troubleshoot the problem is to revert the build prop change to see if it's really the culprit. However, if you can't live without the split screen then do consider a third party sms application.

Google Messages battery drain on 10+

Never a problem on my note 9 but now it's insane on the note 10+. I don't really want to change apps because I like it otherwise. See the pic comparing it to the next highest used app. Also, there's no way I had it open and on screen that amount of time. Anyone else experiencing this?
If you did smart switch, try clearing data for messages.

I have. I am waiting for some results to see if clearing data fixes anything.
UPDATE: cleared cache and data but still draining.
I use google messages and i'm not having this problem at all, so I would say it is likely something specific to you. Best advice would be to uninstall, reboot and then reinstall the app

will give that a shot too
Any of you not getting lock screen notifications with Google Messenger? Samsung messages work fine, buy G messages give nothing but sound when screen is locked.
Google messages works fine for me as well and I used smart switch to transfer all data/apps from my Note9 to my Note10+. I'm also getting notifications on my lock screen.
