OK so I am using Samsung for years but this last bug doesn't go well with Samsung quality.
I have tried to report it but no solution.
if I am using Bluetooth headphones then incoming call must alert and disturb the music I play.
I am using some sounds for my meditations and when a call is coming then the sound become mono to alert that a call is coming.
tried to contact Samsung members and Samsung local support and they got answers from Samsung engineers that said it is impossible to avoid incoming call alerts also on DND.
just crazy thing that make me start searching for a replacement for Samsung after I buy every year the new model.
any solution from someone ?
Place it flight mode with bluetooth enabled
In general settings, look for do not disturb, there you have a menu for what you want to include or exclude, if you check calls, it even gives you the option to set exceptions for it, this works fine for me, I have in exceptions just my family members
thanks guys but it is just doesnt work.
the sound of the music become mono while a call is incoming

Problem: Instead of playing the selected ringtone when I get phone calls I hear the bonk sound hear when I adjust my volume? This remains even after reboot.
Solution: It was an application called CallBlocker. I had enabled a setting called Pre-Mute Ring which was causing the issue.
Call controll does work very well, however this feature does have a caveat indicating it might not work correctly on all phones. I think the purpose is to mute the ring until it can identify if the call is on the blacklist or not. After that, I think it's supposed to unmute so you can hear the ring.
I finally figured it out after numerous reboots and a kernel upgrade. The problem remained so I figured it had to be some piece of software that messed with the call settings.

While on a call, particularly speaker, is there no way to disable the keypress sound only during a call without doing it via the sound toggle or manually doing it in the settings? Doesn't seem to make any sense that certain sounds wouldn't automatically turn off so the caller wouldn't hear them. My previous HTC Hero did this automatically.

I have found this to be annoying as well. I have noticed that I have have my phone set on Vibrate (no sounds normally produced) and if I am on a call and an email or SMS comes in I get a notification sound. For some reason the sounds that are silenced when I am not on a call are produced when I am in a call.
I wish I knew of a solution to this issue.

This might work for you:
Phone>Call Settings>Call alert>Uncheck "Alerts on call"
Now help me fix my problem and we're even.
I've been trying to make it so my phone goes silent at a certain time, and then removes the silent after the 'certain time' has expired. This has not been a problem.
The issue is that I still want specific phone numbers to make it through should I receive an emergency call. I used the Profile -> Phone, Incoming Call - to trigger and this works fine. However, there seems to be nothing I can do to force the phone to ring. I've tried removing silent mode, and it does, but the phone still won't ring until the next call. I've also tried lowering volumes and raising on phone call, same result. The closest I've become is to play my ringer tone as a ringer using Task -> Media, Play Ringtone. The downside is the phone will absolutely NOT stop ringing. It does when you pick up the phone but continues after you hang up, well past the ringtones duration. Calling Stop Task doesn't work, nor can I find a stop audio action.
I'm hoping someone has a good solution to this as I couldn't find one through lots of searching and trying. I wouldn't mind having to use a terminal command to stop audio if possible but I couldn't find any information on that either.
Any help is appreciated.
Just going to bump this once in hopes someone can figure out a solution. Thanks.
Hi guys, hope you can help with an odd problem...
Very, very occasionally (maybe 1 in 50 calls) I get an issue where I can't hear the other party, as if the earpiece was dead. If I drop the call and re-dial, 99% of the time everything is fine. (I think I had one time in 6 months where the 2nd call did the same.)
Now, I can't decide if this is a network issue (Vodafone) or a phone issue. I mostly use a Bluetooth headset due to the size of the Note but I doubt it's headset related as I have tried two different high end brands and it happens with either.
Things I have noticed:
Problem applies to incoming AND outgoing calls
I have checked I haven't accidently muted the call
My Bluetooth headsets all chime at the start of a call but there is no call audio
The other party can hear me but I can't hear them
System sounds are all fine, only call audio is affected
Switching between headset, phone and speaker phone make no difference
Applies to all incoming call audio, including ringing tones and busy tones
I reboot my phone sometimes but as the issue is rare I couldn't say if it makes a difference. Also this is a standard Note II (not a branded Vodafone one) with all the latest patches downloaded. Looking through my app downloads I can't see any obvious ones that might affect the phone. Apart from the stock Samsung apps I most connect to CCTV systems. I have CSipSimple but I haven't used it in ages.
Any suggestions on how to investigate this further?
Regards,
Andy
Seriously... no ideas?
So, no one's ever had this problem and no one has any ideas?!
:crying:
the title says it all... when a play a song it plays fine...when i record sound it records/plays back fine but when in a call i can't hear the person on the other end and they can't hear me...there is no static...no other sounds just silence...im stumped... ive booted into safe mode with the same problem
Did you mute the call?
no sir...it happens every time i call it or make a call from it
Well there are many factors as to why this is happening (hardware, some app that messes up your calls, etc.). But if you are running a custom ROM then I wont be suprised. Its simply a bug.
I suggest you Google for "no sound during call android" and try out the many proposed solutions at the given sites. If you lost hope, just go and see a service center.
