Mate 20 dload emui 10 - Huawei Mate 20 Questions & Answers

Hello. Has anyone tried to upload with dload software 10.0.0.154?

I want know to ?

I'm also waiting to go out on EMUI 10 dload

I have the HMA-l29c432 9.1.0.346 version I checked in FF and after checking imei the HMA-LGRP2 10.0.0.154 version matches. I downloaded the update_ful_base.zip package, unpacked it on a previously formatted exFAT flash drive, and tried to force the update through * # * ## 2846579 # * # ** with the SIM card removed and the SIM card inserted. Unfortunately, after restarting and trying to update, it returns an installation failure system error
Have any ideas ?
the package I downloaded is full OTA

You need only 3 zip files in a dload folder in order to flash.

What files? Theres is only one file update_full_base.zip

I think I found a solution

I'm trying to unbrick my phone. Right now I'm stock recovery, download mode, and phone won't connect to PC. Notice I said "My phone" won't connect and not my PC won't recognize. I have the drivers, re-installed them countless times.
Is there some insta-flash zip file that I can put on my SD Card? I mean, when I had the G2, I was able to put some file called a PC10IMG.zip file on my SD card and that started as soon as I went to the bootloader. Does the Epic 4G Touch even have a bootloader?
Does anyone know where I might be able to get a JTag service online, because Mobile Tech Videos isn't responding to me. -_-
yes can someone please reply cause i think im in the same sitiation
I know this is late but did you get your issue resolved?

[Q] [Solved] Samsung apps can't launch : "invalid app"

Hi every one !
I'm using the Belgian firmware with a Wave 2 TLBLB1 and I'm getting some strange errors after an upadte :
- The boot screen is reversed
- The boot animation is played in reverse
(just annoying)
- After doing the Samsung apps update it can't launch it says : " Impossible to launch (...) invalid app"
I tried several times to hard reset and recover a clean bada but after each samsung apps update the same error appear.
Does some know from where those errors come from ?
Thanks in advance.
Solution :
- Do a hard reset
- Don't recover your settings files and apps
- Do the update
Solution 2, thanks to mylove90 :
-Try removing it by deleting its folder with TK file explorer (edit ini file to make it work with bada 2.0)
-Copy Samsung Apps.oap file....i'll assume you know the path of that file
-Open it with 7z or any other program
-Edit manifest.xml file to give it higher version number
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Are you updated your phone via OTA ?
Yes it was an OTA update. But apart from the bug I listed, everything works fine.
Exactly Don't know about samsung apps but Reversed also for me as this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=25923810&postcount=119
hahahahahahahahaha
These bugs are so funny
Thanks to Samsung we don't have OTA updates in Egypt
But i guess that you just got a bad Samsung Apps update
-Try removing it by deleting its folder with TK file explorer (edit ini file to make it work with bada 2.0)
-Copy Samsung Apps.oap file....i'll assume you know the path of that file
-Open it with 7z or any other program
-Edit manifest.xml file to give it higher version number
In Theory , This should prevent the update & make your Samsung Apps work
Best Regards
Yeah it's exactly the same... It should be normal for Samsung that the phone boot that way...
Could it be a general error from the OTA system update ?
For the samsung apps I expect the same bug since it was also with an OTA update.
Edit : yes I will try later this method I don't have time to do it right know I will report when I did it.
Edit 2 : So I hard reset and try again to update and it works even after the update. But after recovering my files it bugs. I will try to recover before updating.
Just a simple/noob question how do you express the files into a .oap file ?
Edit 3 : WTF it works. It should have been a setting error. Strange.
This is NO bug...
This is VISUAL teststuff...
Firmware like XXKKV... XXLAV, XXLBV
These are for internal testing... it is easier to see if success, instead wait and enter *#1234#
Read here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1363328
Remember... as V is highest "Character/Digit"... Kies nor OTA update again...
You have minimum to flash other apps_compressed.bin with Multiloader.
Best Regards

[Q] Lost access to internal storage

Hello,
In the process of rooting and trying to install CWM Recovery in preparation to flash Cyanogenmod, I seem to have denied myself access to the phone's internal storage. In the "File Manager" app, I get the following screen:
Local: /storage
No files
No search results
In addition, any app that requires access to internal memory will not work, instead showing messages such as "Try again after scanning media files" or "Not enough storage". If I plug in the USB cable and set it to "Media sync (MTP)" mode, Windows Explorer will show the device but list the internal storage as having "0 bytes" and no files.
I already tried the following:
- Factory reset
- Flashing the official ROM through the Windows Enabler / UpTestEX tools
In both tries the phone was "reset", as in it returned to the initial Android welcome screen where you set up your Google account, but in each case I still didn't have access to internal storage.
This is what I have in the "About phone -> Software information" option:
Android version: 4.1.2
Baseband version: APQ8064T/MDM9x15M
Kernel version: 3.4.0
Build number: JZO54K
Software version: E98810b
The phone does not have Wi-Fi access either, which is why I was tinkering around with custom ROMs in the first place, so I won't be able to download anything to it as part of the solution.
Is there anything else I can try?
I'm guessing you used FreeGee to install CWM? Perhaps try restoring?
If that didn't work... Id move the EFS backups to my computer. I'd make a NAND backup in CWM. Then I'd get CM and gapps on a micro SD. I'd do a format of system, data, and cache. Then I'd install CM and gapps. Then I'd cross my fingers.

ackliph,
Since I didn't have Wi-Fi access on the phone, and at the time I didn't know how to reverse tether it to the computer, I was looking for a procedure to install CWM Recovery that didn't involve downloading files directly within the phone (only transfering via USB). Right now I can't find the exact instructions I used, but it was similar to what is described by hkfriends in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2361941, the only difference being that the image I downloaded was not that one.
I rooted the phone with Universal Root, then followed those instructions to install CWM Recovery. It seemed to have worked, but when I rebooted... nothing happened! The phone booted normally, and if I tried entering recovery mode all I got was the stock LG recovery.
I continued looking for another way to install a custom recovery, but instead came upon instructions to flash KDZ files with UpTestEx. Since the immediate problem I was trying to solve was the lack of Wi-Fi access (and not really the custom ROM), I thought it couldn't hurt to try updating the stock ROM. The procedure did update my ROM, but I ended up in my current predicament: no access to internal storage, and still no Wi-Fi access! It even managed to unroot the phone.
So your suggestion would be to try installing CM via a microSD card. OK, I can get a microSD and try that. However, I do believe I will need root access to do anything of the sort. I tried Universal Root again, and got the following messages:
Beginning Root Process
/system/bin/sh: can't create /sdcard/G_security: Permission denied
Now change from Charge Only to MTP
No need to disconnect USB
Press Enter after making the change.
adbd cannot run as root in production builds
error: device not found
If uid=0(root), gid=0(root) is displayed
Press Enter to Continue
1955 KB/s (1085140 bytes in 0.542s)
mount: permission denied (are you root?)
cp: can't create '/system/xbin/busybox': Read-only file system
failed to copy 'su' to '/system/xbin/su': Read-only file system
failed to copy 'Superuser.apk' to '/system/app/Superuser.apk': Read-only file system
Unable to chown /system/xbin/su: No such file or directory
You are now properly Rooted.

Evidently, that didn't work.
I guess I will need some other method of rooting it.

Problem updating Huawei Mediapad M2-A01LV100R001C100B006 4G SIM Unlocked - NL

Hi,
Goal is to upgrade my M2, I believe it has a modem because it is able to receive SMS, 4G network, etc...
One thing is missing, calling functionality, dialer stuff ... is this hardware or firmware (or driver not installed)?
Can somebody please confirm or know how these things work?
So I want to upgrade because, I just want to be up to date, new android!
No updates are available if I try the official via EMUI Update way... online at Huawei nothing is available either (they refer to EMUI). It says most current version.
But then I read people from other European countries do have updates installed, 'same' model ... WTF?!?
Version / model : M2-A01L / 2GB
* Everything is still factory.
* EMUI : 3.1
* Android : 5.1.1
* Custom version : CUSTC100D002
* Bootloader version : V100R001C00B000_FASTBOOT
* Kernel version : M2-A01LV100R001C100B006_BOOT
* AP : M2-A01LV100R001C100B006_SYSTEM
* CP Version / baseband : 21.600.20.00.010(balong)
* Cust Version : Cversion:C100 DVersion002
So first things first reading different posts and tutorials about updating:
* https://forum.xda-developers.com/mediapad-m2/how-to/guide-official-updates-m2-tablet-root-t3589363
* https://forum.xda-developers.com/me...om-official-manual-updates-m2-tablet-t3595211
Im already stuck at the official steps:
1 - On tablet created folder : InternalStorage/HwOUC placed M2-A01LV100R001C100B007.zip and rename in update.zip
2 - Turn off , Reboot device (not connected to laptop) , should automatically install update above. Nothing happens.
So lets try bootloader maybe I can choose to update from folder or something. Nope, just 3 options, (reboot:wipe cache:factory)
Strange... Im wondering
1 - If they disabled something so updating is not possible at all?
2 - Other possibility in the forum, update.app in dload... people mention the process got stuck on 2%. Can you get back to original, it just fails or do you need to do a factory reset to get a working tablet again?
3 - What steps to take to make sure you can always... yes, always get back to your factory firmware when updating.
4 - Then I was reading about simply download to a full firmware (not an update)
HUAWEI_MediaPad+M2+10.0_M2-A01L_Firmware_Android+5.1.1_EMUI+3.1_V100R001C100B010CUSTC100D001_Germany_Spain_Belgium.zip
Not Netherlands... Im not 100% confident this is the way to go. Last part of the filename D001_German... mine is D002, so, aaargh
I hope you can guide me and help me updating. I dont know much about this, is it really chipset, hardware or just software (compilation) stuff...

Making progress ... step:
0 - Back to factory settings, yes wipe that thing and let's see... then:
1 -
a - Unpacked M2-A01LV100R001C100B007.zip placed in internal storage/dload. Settings > Update > menu > local update. Package found, rebooting, installing, SUCCESS, rebooting again.
b - Open Settings > About Tablet > look at buildnr... A01LV100R001C100B006 didn't change, huh. repeated steps above...
Lets's see what happens if go to OTA-M2-A01LV100R001C100B010.zip, same steps... and after updating process. nothing changed, still the same ... A01LV100R001C100B006 ...
So somehow the manual local update looks into dload folder > changes the boot procedure to update > then looks into a factory prepped setting > updates to its original and no version change.
Edit:
Placed file 007 in internal storage > dload , powered off , then I did :
Vol + UP and Vol - Down and PowerOn buttons, waited until I got the installing EMUI screen.
Nope, nothing changed.
YESSSSS , SUCCESS :good: read!!! (and above)
- Tablet (bought in the Netherlands) - Huawei M2 10" - A01L :
* Custom version : CUSTC100D002
* Bootloader version : V100R001C00B000_FASTBOOT
* Kernel version : M2-A01LV100R001C100B006_BOOT
* AP : M2-A01LV100R001C100B006_SYSTEM
This is what I did :
- Factory reset, tried to update B006 -> B007 -> B010, nothing seemed to be changed although it said success ...
- Not rooted, no TWRP, not Developer or Manufacturer mode... just basic.
Then downloaded rom in this topic :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mediapad-m2/development/rom-m2-a01l-lte-premium-stock-t3624094
Huawei 10 - M2 A01L - B010 LTE file
- sdcard in tablet (not internal storage)
- create folder dload
- unzip file (above) and place the contents of the extracted file and its subfolder dload into this.
- the folder contained file UPDATE.APP and hw folder. Total size 3.3GB.
- Power down
- Unplug all cables
- Check if you have sufficient power >50%
- VolUp + and VolDown - and PowerOn, wait until EMUI Install screen, takes around 15-20seconds.
- Install starts until finished, 15minutes. Slow progress.
- Looks like it hangs on 99% but wait for success
Et voila, from B006 -> B010 and yes, including dialer... made a phonecall...
Next is rooting...
As I was saying... ROOTING, success again.. what ... a .... day !!!
My Steps :
0. Did above... don't forget
1. Follow these steps and pay 4 credits : Steps to Unlock, Recovery and Root
- Manufacturer mode to get the unlock code, back to hiSuite mode
- Command line tools for windows : ADB and fastboot
- Follow the exact procedure , step 18.
2. Troubles finding the files you need:

I read your post with interest. I was trying to do exactly the same thing i.e. enable the calling features on my M2-801L.
Eventually got my tablet fully working and your post helped a lot!!
