Good morning,
I started the smartphone in fastboot mode (pressing "volume-" and "power"), and I find the following screens that I don't know what they are for.
1.- Restart bootloader
2.- Recovery mode
3.- Factory mode
4.- Barcodes
5.- Switch Tools Mode
Could someone explain to me what they are for?
Regards

1,2, no comments .
3 - Factory mode or what is commonly known as factory reset is one of the options available for you when your Android device is in recovery mode.
4 - Here you can get access to secret information about your device such as IMEI, Serial Number and more.
5 - Switch Tools Mode triggers force boot to recovery and actually for radio troubleshooting, and this work-around which involves deleting your CID(Carrier Id).

Good afternoon,
Thank you for clarifying my doubts, but...
If I use option 2 (Recovery mode), I see the "Android sick" screen.
If I use option 3 (Factory mode), the smartphone starts normally and a notification appears, that if I press it, the second screen I attached appears.
¿??

3 is a diagnostic test app to test various device hard and software used by techs afaik.
I know this thread is way old in case anyone stumbles across it like I did. After you select recovery mode and the sick android is on your screen hold the power button, press and release volume up, then release power button. You should now be in the recovery menu where you will have more options at your disposal.

Sorry for bumping, but I hope somebody can guide me to a conclusion. Should I make make this twrp a default boot option or should I always enter it from a PC.
My wish is to have this as a default part of booting

The only thing that must be run from a PC is the tool in the OP.
The tool then installs the recovery on your phone.
A recovery is NOT part of the boot or of the ROM you are using.
Once installed, if you want to directly access your recovery, either :
_ Power off your device.
_ Press and hold volume down, then press Power on until the Recovery screen comes up.
Or
_ From the ROM's Settings, in the System menu, go into the the Developers options.
_ Enable Advanced Reboot option.
Then, you can press the power button until the reboot menu appears and choose to directly reboot to Recovery.

I recently tried to update this device with the latest MALAY MOD rom.
The problem was that I didn't had the option to remove all data while updating. Thus resulting in an corrupt install.
I need to get into recovery mode now to install the rom from there, however I do not know how to enter recovery. I've tried all the possible ways that I could find without result.
The touchscreen buttons don't seem to give input to the device, except the power(like) button, if I press this button the screen goes black bit the machine keeps running. Pushing again makes the screen go on again. (this does not restart the device)
The reset button immediately shuts off the device, while holding it the unit stays off. When released the device starts up and gets stuck on boot logo.
I tried contacting the supplier, now 5 days later and still no reaction..
Does anyone have an idea?
try:
press and hold in power button, press rst briefly, let go of power more than 3 seconds after pressing rst

Thanks for the reply, I just tried this but had no success
The "power button" doesn't do anything if I keep my finger on it (touch buttons).

You can use ADB wifi or solder a usb port, there are instructions somewhere in the original thread.
You could ask in this thread :

its for MTCD units but they are related, maybe some one could help you there ?

Hello people of XDA
My Redmi 5A got softbricked and I'm not sure why since I wasn't (and never have) using it for rooting/installing new ROM/etc., I was using it for normal usage. (Didn't install anything that might cause the phone to just shutdown like that too)
Currently, my Redmi only shows:
-The system has been destroyed screen
-Fastboot mode
-Recovery mode
Methods I've tried:
-Mi Assistant/Mi PC Suite, which is useless because my phone cannot connect to it because the USB debugging is not turned on and I have no way of turning it on. Which made my phone unable to be recognized by the assistant, but it is recognizable by my laptop. (for extra info)
-ADB & Fastboot, which is also fruitless as of this far because after running the flash_all.bat, it says that my device is locked and cannot be erased. (exta info: I downloaded the EU-fastboot version)
-Factory reset and reboot.
I'm really not familiar with this situation, but as far as I've learned in the internet, that means my Redmi's bootloader is locked (?)
I do have the option to go to Xiaomi's service center, but I just want to know if this is fixable at home.
Thank you in advance for any help!
