[Q] P900XXUANB3-RecoveryImg to root has caused screen blinking on SMT-900

Following the root instructions for the Tab Pro 12.2" I kept soft bricking my device and found the post about installing P900XXUANB3-RecoveryImg first. It along with CF-Auto-Root are now installed and I'm rooted and good to go but now my screen constantly blinks out. Reading around apparently it's a software issue that was fixed by an update but now that my device is modified I can't do ota updates... How do I correct this issue?
Update: I flashed CM11 and it's still doing it, so I assume it's firmware?
Update 2: actually not seeing it on CM11 now, did it a few times while installing app updates at first but not since.

It might be better to start all over.
There's no need to go back to the "B3" version any longer. The T900UEUANI1 is available on SamMobile, to be flashed w. Odin.
The cf-auto-root listed as "B3" on chainfire's site will work.

Nvidia Shield Pro 2015 500GB

Anyone have a a sock image of the shield running 8.0.2 or latest 8.1.1 but sshd or ssd clone meaning u took the drive abd cloned it and saved it original only ??????

I have a U.S. image but its prior to 8.0. You could always use it and update to 8.0 in the player. Warning though, I am having an issue on my 2015 pro that when I update from 8.0 to 8.0.2 it "breaks" the shield. Not sure why yet. I can re-flash to my back up image and it works fine all the way to 8.0. I just can't go to 8.0.2 without it breaking.

In the last update to 8.2, my shield has also died, I think this is because I have an SSD and not the original HDD. What I don't understand is why it has worked so far without problems, maybe it lacks a driver?
I have tried to enter fastboot to put a previous image of recovery, but the image lasts less than 1s and it turns off, I can't do anything.
markdonnell1975 would be good if you upload that image, so at least we could use our shield as before, that I was doing very well, until a solution to the problem is found, even that mine is European, maybe there is no inconvenience, everything would be to try.

I now have 2 new ones pro 2019 but i want to get my 2015 back up and i would really appreciate it.....

P605 - has anyone ever successfully used encryption?

Hi everyone,
I really need device encryption in order to be able to use my tablet with a work profile.
Has anyone ever done this with this device?
I have tried with LOS 17.1 and 14.1 by @davidmueller13 but unfortunately it reboots, then tells me it is encrypting (with the pending time displayed) and after that reboots again. I am then prompted to put in my pin (which I set before of course) and after that it is just stuck at the bootscreen / LOS logo for hours.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

With the P605 and various other older devices w/o encryption by default and a custom rom, all my attempts ended with bricking the device...
There may also be a significant performance penalty, the older the device.

Alright @Tronje , thanks to your advice I have a working encrypted device.
Unfortunately the system patch level it too old. I cannot set up the working profile due to that.
Any further advice?
I am no software expert, but I do not get why in LOS16 this feature works flawlessly while in the other builds it is not supported.

I think you have to ask the developer/ maintainer.

Alright, I am one step closer to what I am looking for.
I have managed to encrpyt LOS 14 by reducing my filesystem size via TWRP Terminal in order to gain some space for the crypto footer.
LOS14 has a security patch level sufficient for setting up with Microsoft Intune. Nevertheless, even though my tab is not rooted, Microsoft Intune somehow detects root. Any bright ideas on why that is happening?

Trying to get a hold of someone at VZW but thought I would try here.
For business reasons when updating our Tab S4 tablets I need to get them to Update 14 and then stop there-- I reset them and then enroll them in SOTI Mobicontrol to be able to block further updates until we have a chance to test it. Until this morning I could update devices from Update 9 to 10, 10 to 11, and so forth until installing Update 14 and locking it down.
The first two tablets I tried this with today take Update 12 (to Android 10) but then they skip Update 13 and 14 and offer Update 15 only. I reset the device and get the same behavior, no way to get to Update 13. I then tried the Upgrade Assistant software but that also only offers Update 15.
Is there some big issue fixed in Update 15 that is so important that they wont' let me take the intermediate updates?

Now I'm no expert, but could you download the ODIN firmware files for the 13.1 update and manually update it that way?

Question Can't use OTA update or Smart Switch - fail at 25%

Hi! I got a Samsung Galaxy A52s 5g that i bought from a store as second hand. They give a 14 days waranty but I don't really have the time to send the phone to service.
My problem is this... The phone right now has android 12 one ui 4.0 with Android security patch level from march 1, 2022. I want to upgrade it to android 13, but everytime I try thru OTA it fails at 25% and comes back to original saying Failed to install update, contact a samsung service center. Or something similar.
I found on the web that updating thru Samsung Smart Switch should work, but for me it doesn't. It downloads 7.3 gb of updates, after that phone enters download mode and I get after some time a NOTICE on the computer that "failed to recognize software update mode" and instructs me to reboot device and try again. I even enabled USB debug mode and I get the same NOTICE on the computer. And after that I reboot phone from downloading mode and everything is back to original.
The phone was charged 50%+ everytime i tried, also I got enough rom memory, I checked. Changed usb cable to another USB on the laptop and I get the same result from Smart Switch.
Phone model is SM-A528B/DS. I will provide more info if needed.
What I can do to succesfully update the software on my A52s 5g? I searched on the web to no result to my Smart Switch error. Also I've seen that are alot of cases where thru OTA the phone fails at 25%, but either they succesfully updated thru Smart Switch or no response.
I want to try installing the official rom from sammobile but I really don't know what firmware I should pick.

Does it matter from what carrier did the phone come from? The baseband is different from the file that you posted. Or doesn't matter? Anyway, downloaded it, now i'm looking for a tutorial on how to flash the rom. Thanks!

Can I use update from SD card from recovery mode? It's easier i guess.

I just flashed the rom you provided. Hurray! It works just fine with odin. If anybody got the same problem with their phone, flashing with odin does a great job!
