Enter download mode (hold [VOLUME-DOWN][HOME][POWER] until buzz, then release [POWER]). At the first download mode screen where it says you can press volume-down to boot normally, press volume-down to boot normally.

Same problem as OP, and I can not get into download mode either. If I do as above, it still goes on booting .

If the advice above didn´t work (nothing happened when pressing the usual VOL down - home - power etc), this is how I managed:
I tried booting around 25 times with the power button released at different times. Did not work.
Tried to insert battery when pressing the 3 buttons. Did not work.
I let the battery run completely empty. Started charging the phone and pressing the 3 buttons. Did not work.
I charged the phone full (with booting the whole time....needed to put it somewhere quiet). After estimating it was full, I pulled out the battery, preparing to send it to mobiletechvideos.com (they saved me before). After a few hours I wanted to see the error message so I could write them. When I inserted the battery, I got the regular download mode! Nowthen, would I dare to boot it since I am not really sure what to flash to my phone?
I rebooted, and now the phone is back to normal. OTOH, I will not try to flash CWM/TWRP again, so goodbye custom roms (Omega )
you are a life saver!

I held down the Down volume key along with the power and spammed the home button until the download screen came on, just keep spamming it while holding down the other keys, it will reboot just keep spamming, then I plugged it in to my computer, opened Odin and re installed the Root and it booted up fine

The phone is fine now, it was just stuck on the loop and spamming home was the only way out, its fine now I've had no problems and it boots up fine
This happens...
This happens to almost everyone at some point of time. There is no need to worry as you just need to flash recovery like TWRP or CWM. To shed some light on this issue... boot loops mainly happen when you uses the incorrect version of software with your ROM or stock firmware. By using youtube you can look at the videos of your phone model and find the recovery version number needed.
For anyone who has a Note 3 T-Mobile phone who is still stuck! I am willing to make a video to show how to fix this and provide all the firmware/version numbers + links in one bundled location to make it easier.
ALL PHONES ARE VERY specific... ONLY USE THE CORRECT FIRMWARE FOR YOUR MODEL PHONE
Again, if you have a Samsung Note 3 T-Mobile, model number SM-N900T and are still lost. Let me know so I can shot a video and bundle files needed.

Don't be scared by this... just choose the correct versions before blindly trying to install a ROM. Also, only use links from main sources if you dont fell like auditing the code!
Hi guys, sorry for might be late about helping you now years later... But recently I've found something interesting about fixing this issue.
*****
Fix: (100% working in Galaxy Grand Prime SM-G530H)
UPDATED: More detailed info!
# Before flashed Recovery or Root:
1. Root device using Odin or any other rooting known workaround.
2. Backup Recovery (optional), and Kernel using Rashr (available on PlayStore).
3. Flash Custom Recovery (TWRP), using Odin PC software or TWRP android app.
4. Flash backed-up Kernel.img file to Boot partition using TWRP install section.
5. Reboot system (It may take a few time to boot)
# After flashed Recovery or Root: (accidentally or without knowing)
1. Search online and download your exact Phone Stock Kernel.
2. Follow *before flashed* above ↑ from 3rd.
Bonus info:
Even after flashing TWRP, you might be able to Boot device yet, by going to TWRP → Advanced → Reboot system. (It bypass bootlooping to Recovery, while: “Set Warranty Bit : Recovery”).
That's all! Try at your own, then share it!
Greetings XDA Developers,
Newbie here. I own a Samsung Galaxy Tab S (SM T705). I was able to root it a few weeks ago and I decided to install a custom recovery (TWRP) using an app from the Playstore named "TWRP Manager". I didn't hesitate to do so using this method because I was able to install TWRP on my GT I9300 successfully from the past using this app. However, after being prompted by the app that the recovery was successfully installed and needs to reboot the device, my tab was stuck on start up screen ( See attached photo ). I tried long pressing the power button but nothing happened. I waited until the device ran out of battery and when it did, I plugged in the charger and I'm back at the same screen. After google-ing some possible solutions, I tried to boot it into recovery but was unsuccessful, however, I was able to boot into download mode.
I'd like to ask for the help of some "experienced" users in this forum on how to solve this problem. And if possible, I'm hoping that flashing a stock recovery using Odin wouldn't be my last resort.
Thank you in advance.

Your going to need some fast hands for this one! I've ran into this lots of times when testing kernels and such. Any force reboot by holding Power Button+ Home Button + BOTH Volume buttons all at the same time. Press and hold that combo until the screen goes black. Then once the screen goes black quickly press and hold Power Button+ Home Button + Volume down buttons all at the same time. You should no enter into download mode. You said that you drained the battery so I would suggest charging it in download mode for 30 minutes or so then flash TWRP with Odin.
Your going to need to flash stock recovery or TWRP with Odin to override the boot and get it working
The TWRP app doesn't always work in which is why I use Odin.

As a side note for future reference, hard reset is simply hold POWER + VOL DOWN.
As said all you need do is boot to download mode and flash recovery.
If you're on lollipop you may need to immediately boot into recovery after flashing to make it stick.

Hey, thanks for the heads up. But how exactly do I "immediately boot into recovery after flashing to make it stick." Since after I flash recovery via odin, it would obviously automatically reboot my device? sorry for the dumb question.

You either be quick and hold POWER + HOME + VOL UP as soon as it reboots or you uncheck auto reboot in Odin then restart manually.

So did the solution work? I am looking at a SM-T705 on ebay being sold for parts with similar symptoms. hoping I can fix it for a great bargain.
Right out of the RetailBox (with stockRom) I couldn't reboot into recovery using the "VolumeUp+Home+PowerButton" step...
Even now after installing a custom rom and twrp recovery I can't do the hardbutton action ("VolumeUp+Home+PowerButton") to get into the "recovery"
so whats the hiccup here? someone plz

now though, after installing IronRom .zip through twrp, it won't reboot anymore, it is stuck at the "Samsung Galaxy Tab S powered by android" starting screen.

But once one is stuck somewhere and can't get to the system level (like boot loop or whatnot) it would be great to enter the recovery anyway... thx

You can enter recovery any time you want, you just need to do it right.
Hold POWER + HOME + VOL DOWN until the screen goes blank then immediately change to VOL UP whilst still holding the other buttons until recovery boots.

Just signed in to say thanks for this, but for some reason I had to do it slightly differently. I was on stock 5.0.2 and trying to boot into recovery (Power+Volume UP+Home would start Samsung splash screens and then go black without ever booting into Recovery) so my solution was:
Shutdown Tab S, then hold down Power+Volume DOWN+Home (as though to get into Download mode) and then immediately after pressing that initially, I pressed Volume UP while still holding Power+Home.
Problem solved.

Hi all,
Have a brand new (to me) v500 that i bought and was able to root, flash twrp, and flash crdroid on yesterday. Today i flashed standard AOSP but now i'm stuck in a bootloop and cant figure out how to access twrp any more. Previously with crdroid on it i was accessing the bootloader/twrp via an app. So far all i can get to come up using hardware buttons is the download mode, and ADB isn't recognizing the device.
Any advice? I tried following a guide to revert to stock using the LG Support Tool but cant find the R&D tools to complete the tutorial.
Any help is appreciated.
Bump - $10 USD to whoever can help me solve this first
To enter twrp via buttons on v500:
Press and hold Power Button + Volume Down
When the LG logo shows up, release the power button only
Now press and hold the Power and Volume Up button while keeping your hold on the Volume Down button
When the factory reset screen appears, release your hold on all buttons
Follow On Screen Indications to make factory reset, but instead you enter twrp

b0li gave an invalid TWRP entry instruction.
Read How to enter recovery mode using key combination post #2.
In TWRP, do advanced wipe without internal storage.
Before you flash the ROM, check its checksum carefully to see if it is identical to the one on the server.

It turns off because you hold 3 keys and don't release them.
You must press them simultaneously and then release them immediately.

That did the trick, can't believe it was just because i wasn't pressing the keys exactly right. I was able to get back into TWRP and reflash the ROM so now everything is working. Still having trouble getting usb to recognize the device, so i can't flash anything else on there at the moment.

Perhaps the problem is not the usb socket or cable.
Blow out the socket with compressed air and try again.
If that doesn't work, then your OS may be a problem.
In this case, try [LIVE-ISO][FWUL]adb/fastboot without any installation and driver issues.
I tried another computer too, same result - the tablet recognizes the connection so it starts charging, and despite the USB settings in dev options being set for MTP, it doesn't connect.
I'll try your link later, but it seems like its a problem with the tablet compared to computer.

You can always transfer data using microSD or via WiFi tethering.
If via WiFi, I recommend the SwiFTP server - simple and reliable.
I tried to update Lineage and am running into an issue now where as soon as the LG logo pops up, a message that says "Secure booting error! Cause: boot certification verify" pops up almost immediately so I can't use the hardware buttons to get into TWRP. Any ideas around this one? Thanks again all!
So I tried to install TWRP and followed the steps, used ODIN v3.14, it tried to upload something but failed with an error.
Now the phone has gone into a perpetual restart cycle:
1) Reboot (by itself or Vol Down + Power)
2) Blank screen with: "Galaxy A70 - Secured by Knox - Powered by Android"
3) Screen with: "This phone's bootloader is unlocked and its software integrity... - Press power key to continue"
4) Blank screen with: "Galaxy A70 - Secured by Knox - Powered by Android"
5) Blank screen with: "SAMSUNG" for a very long time
6) eventually back to step 1
****************
Is there a way to get back this phone?
I was flashed twrp normally and nothing happened for me. Did you pressed vol up+power ASAP after flash successful ? If not, go to download mode and flash again, then press vol up+power immediately.
I never managed to flash TWRP, ODIN displayed an error when I tried.
1. Your using the wrong version of odin. You need 3.13.3
2. Sounds like your not key comboing fast enough?
3. You can not hard brick the A70. If its in a boot loop, plug into pc and Continue to hold vol up and down till it boots to download mode. Flash latest stock version then reboot.

I was flashed twrp normally and nothing happened for me. Did you pressed vol up+power ASAP after flash successful ? If not, go to download mode and flash again, then press vol up+power immediately.

Dont press power during the end process, its power and vol down till screen goes blank then immediately let go and press and hold just vol up.
OK, I am now in the "Downloading..." screen and the phone is waiting.
All I have on my PC is:
recovery.tar
twrp-3.6.1_9-0-a70q.img.tar
DFE.zip
I do not have the Samsung firmware or anything else.
What should I do now?

Get the original firmware for your phone from a 3rd party website.

Get frija from the link in my guide under tools, install it on your pc, then use it to download your latest stock firmware. Make sure you have odin 3.13.3 as well
In frija, enter the model number and the region code of the A70
In my case it would be SM-A705MN/ TTT
Do NOT flash other models, it must be for your Model. Also, dont flash csc_home in this instance, use csc. When loading the AP file, it will take a little bit to load in and you may see odin has stopped working, ignore that and it will eventually load, make sure auto reboot is unchecked everytime you use odin. The first step in my guide says to download and flash latest stock firmware. Anytime your going to do modifications to a device, make sure to have the latest stock firmware first.
Many thanks for suggestions.
I managed to download the stock firmware from https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-a70/firmware/SM-A705FN/BTU/#SM-A705FN and have uploaded it using ODIN 3.14 The phone has now started, like new / factory reset.
I am now setting it up (Samsung firmware) just to make sure I have got my phone back.
After I will try to zap and upload another ROM.

I didn't said that hold power button during flash. Press vol up+power after successful flash, that means when odin say pass then phone goes black and boots, while bootsplash is coming, immediately press and hold vol up+power to switch to recovery.

Its not up+power after successful flash.
Its down+power till screen goes blank then immediately hold vol up only. Is what im trying to tell you. It will NOT work the way you described.

It's not necessary, i can go up to recovery with what i'm saying. What do you mean by vol down+power ? That doesn't do anything. BTW I have FN model.

In download mode, Android 11, to exit, it litterly tells you on the screen to hold vol down and power to reboot. Vol up and power does nothing in this state. To get to twrp from download mode, hold vol down and power till screen goes blank and then press and hold vol up. This will boot to twrp. Other ways to boot to twrp is power off device, plug into pc, wait for it to charge, then hild vol up and power till it boots or if magisk is installed, use magisk reboot options.
Dude, your key combos and information is incorrect. You can not reboot to twrp from download mode by holding vol up and power.
Samsung changed the keymap combination to boot into recovery on 3.1, so to boot into recovery stock or whatever it is, just follow the steps:
Connect your cellphone to the USB port.
Press on Volume UP during boot.
Samsung does weird things

My key combo is true, actually the wrong one is yours This is the valid way also on the latest bootloader but like haky86 said, on latest bootloader Samsung wants you to plug USB cable to do this.
So we are agreed, there is no way to get to TWRP unless you are connected to USB? For example, on my one old phone, I used to keep TWRP backups on the SD card, and I could restore anywhere, I did not need to be near the PC with a USB cable.
