Demo mode can be turned off in Developers' options. To enable Developers options you have to tap version number in Settings > About phone a few times in a row, until you get a notification Developers' options have been enabled. You can then access it in Settings > System.

Hi all,
I have searched through the forums to see if I can find a fix for my problem but no joy. I'm probably using the wrong terminology in my searches as I cannot find anything on google either.
Basically I use twitter, like many others, to keep up to date with news in my industry sector, in fact it's a very important source for me. To do this I use the "Mobile Notifications" feature which sends a notification to my phone everytime one of my selected people who I follow tweets.
I used to have a Samsung Galaxy S4 and these notifications worked perfectly. I now have an LG G3 and they do not.
Please note, I am not talking about @ mentions, likes or retweets, they all work fine, it's simply the mobile notifications whenever someone else tweets who I have selected to receive notifications.
These are the settings I have checked:
Checked background data: On
Twitter > Settings > @Myaccount > Notifications : ON
Twitter > Settings > @Myaccount > Notifications > Tweets : TICKED (Plus all accounts)
Twitter > Settings > @Myaccount > Sync Data : ON
Whenever I change my phone these settings are the ones I check to make sure I get my notifications but it doesn't work in this case.
I receive push notifications for my other apps but not twitter.
The phone isn't rooted. It's on 4.4.2.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks guys
Mark
Hello all, I'm now with the latest pure nexus rom on my N5X. I ALREADY turned on the 'personal results' in google voice settings. But it says I need to unlock the device if I ask 'send a text' or 'set a timer'. If I ask 'weather', it will show the content of weather information but with no sounds, just four color dots blinking, which is weird.
I don't know if it is due to that I deleted the '/data/system/locksettings.db' once I couldn't get into the new rom. Because it didn't happen when I first flash the pure nexus.
I know maybe another clean flash of pure nexus might work, but if so, I might need clean install for each ROM update. (delete locksettings.db every time may result in the same situation if dirty flash)
Is trusted voice off by chance? I had this issue before and I think it was fixed by turning on trusted voice.
Settings > Security > Smart Lock > Trusted Vocie > switch on Trusted Voice toggle
Cool. It fixed. Firstly I didn't find 'smart lock' under security, but it came out once I turned it on under security > trust agents.
Now every time I turn 'trusted voice' on it will ask for my pattern/password. Thanks for the help!

Hi,
as i wrote here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=67552393&postcount=71
after the 1.5 update, my huawei watch doesn't pair with my Nexus 4 anymore.
With a downgrade to 1.4 it works but after some hours it update to 1.5 again.
So i think that 1.5 introduced a bug with bluetooth pairing.
Other xda users in the link above had the same issue with the same phone.
Same result in the Official Android Wear forum: http://bit.ly/AndroidWearBTIssue
My watch, after 1 month, is still at the Service Center.
Today i tried a massive campaign on my social media to obtain a reply from Huawei.
If anyone want to help me with like and share, here are the link. I'll post everyday the same image on every social.

same issues... nexus 4 android 6.0.1, downgrade 1.4 ignore update.. wait for fix or wait for 2.0
Just a guess, but I wonder if the update might have introduced a new Bluetooth stack that isn't compatible with the Bluetooth stack in your older phone?!?

i don't know what 1.5 introduced.... but i think that buy a new phone isn't a solution and it isn't my fault if Google or Huawei make a mistake in developing the 1.5.
I spent 300€ for this watch and i want to be able to use it with my phone because it worked before 1.5.

What does Huawei support have to say?

On Phone assistance: they said to ask to LG (if is a nexus 4 fault) and then call again to open a ticket.
on Facebook Page: they said stupid things like update my phone up to android 4.3 or update the app. Stupid things from Social Media Manager without technical preparation.
On Twitter: Nothing
Italian Service Center: I brought the watch one month ago and described the software problem. They sent it to Huawei. But I haven't news about the status of my watch.
EDIT for Who have this watch and Nexus 4
i don't have my watch now, but if someone has it (and has a nexus 4), please produce (during the Pairing error) and send to google a debug report (report of the phone and report of the watch).
here the address: [email protected]
here how to produce it:
VERY IMPORTANT (PLEASE READ)
Please follow up all this instructions, we need both bug reports from the phone side AND computer.
Without it we can't solve this issue.
Before you get started, make sure you have access to a computer.
1) Instructions: Android Wear devices connected to Android devices
Say "OK Google” or tap the background to bring up the cue card.
Scroll to the bottom of the cue card list and tap "Take bug report". If this option is not available, tap "Settings", then tap "About", then tap 7 times on the Build Number. Once developer mode is enabled, open the cue card again and tap "Take bug report".
If bug reports do not show up on cue card after enabling developer mode: Go into developer options and enable bug report in menu & restart
You should feel a confirmation vibration from your watch. If you look at the card stream on the watch you will see a card with the text "Bug report Collecting data...".
Once the bug report is done, you’ll feel two short vibrations and see a card with the message "Bug report captured. Swipe left to share your bug". After you swipe left, tap Open on the next screen.
Return to your phone or tablet and open the notification shade. You will see an entry that reads "Wearable bug report finished. Touch to send." Touch this entry and email the bug report file to yourself so that you can access it on your computer.
On your computer, access your email and open the message you just sent to yourself.
Download the bugreport.txt attachment.
Reply to this message and attach the bug report file.
Note - you can also initiate the bug report from the Android Wear Companion App on your phone or tablet: In the app, open the menu in the top right corner of the app and tap “Report Wearable Bug”.
Instructions: Android Wear devices connected to iOS devices
After the bug report is taken and is transferred to your phone, on your phone you will see a notification “Transferring bug report. Please wait.”
When the bug report is transferred from your watch to your phone, you will see a new notification on your phone: “Bug report ready. Swipe to send.” Touch or swipe this notification.
This will open up a feedback form in the Android Wear app. Write a description of the problem you experienced in the field, and send the report.
2) Instructions: Companion phone or tablets
On your device, go to Settings > About phone or About tablet.
At the bottom of the screen, touch 'Build number' seven times in quick succession. You’ll see a message saying you’re now in developer mode.
Press Back to go back to the main Settings screen.
Touch Developer options.
At the top of the screen, make sure 'Developer options' is set to ON.
Check the box next to USB debugging.
Check the box next to Bug report shortcut.
Reproduce the issue or error message on your phone or tablet. It’s important that your device logs at least one occurrence of the problem.
Immediately after seeing the issue, press and hold the power button until the power menu appears.
Select Take bug report, then select Report in the dialog that follows.
After a significant delay -- up to two minutes -- your phone or tablet will vibrate and display a notification saying ‘Bug report captured’. Touch the notification to open Gmail with the report attached.
Email the message to yourself so you can access it on your computer.
On your computer, access your email and open the message you just sent to yourself.
Download the bugreport.txt attachment.
Reply to this message and attach the bug report file.
After replying to this message, you can disable developer mode and bug reports by going to Settings > Developer Options and sliding the top toggle to OFF.
3) Instructions: If you are unable to send us bug reports, please check ADB instructions
To collect watch bug reports from your watch when you are not paired with your phone you can use the ADB process if: a) your watch has a pin-based cradle or has a micro-USB slot, and b) the Android Wear version currently running is 5.1.1 or above (Go to Settings > About). To collect a bugreport follow the following steps
On the Android Wear device, Go to Settings > About > Tap on build 7 times. This will enable developer’s mode.
Swipe to the right to go back to the settings menu
Go to developers settings
Switch “Enable adb debugging” to on.
Connect your watch to your computer by plugging the USB cable directly or via the pin-based cradle provided by your watch’s manufacturer.
Your watch will prompt you to allow debugging.
For Windows, it is necessary to install the appropriate driver for adb to function - please see this webpage (http://developer.android.com/tools/extras/oem-usb.html) and follow the appropriate instruction for your version of windows.
On your computer, open Terminal (for iOS) and Cmd (for Windows). Run "adb bugreport > path_to_output_file" from the command line.
Once a bug report is generated, please attach the output file to this email.

Hi
i have xiaomi mi5s (miui global 8.0.3.0 stable) and i dont get push notification form the gmail app.
i try all the instructors that i found at the internet and nothings fix it, is there somone that know haw to fix it?
i try this steps:
1: Go to settings --> manage apps' battery usage --> choose apps. From there, pick all the apps you want to receive push notifications and select "No restrictions."
2: Go to settings --> permissions --> autostart. From there, pick the apps you want to receive notifications, and toggle the switch to turn it on.
3: Go to settings --> app notifications --> pick the apps you want to receive notifications, then turn the toggle for "Priority" on.
4: Lock the app in the "recent apps"/ "app overview" plane. Do so by first opening the apps, then press the "recent apps/overview button" (that's the square button on stock Android, or the button with three horizontal lines on the Mi Mix). From there, find the app you want to receive notifications, pull down on it to "lock it", so it never gets cleared.
5: This last step requires Developer Options privileges. To enable that, go to settings (man... I'm getting tired of typing "go to settings" ...) --> about phone
--> tap on MIUI version tab like eight times. You should then get a little message saying "you are now a developer." Then head back out to settings, go to developer option, scroll to nearly the bottom, find "memory optimization," and turn it off.
Mine does the same sometimes it's intermittent.
Things like this is why I never use Miui, its a horribly crippled version of Android that just makes life more difficult unnessesarily if you live in a country that allows free access to a service called Google
Never own a Xiaomi phone without removing Miui and replacing with a ROM that works in the real world
i wtire this comment for who will need this solution.
i secceeded to fix the push notification problem by the following
1:I changedmy rom to original miui rom (mine was fake) now i have 8.0.3.0 global
2: go to setting -> sync -> and disabled "wifi only" and enable "sync"
3: Go to settings --> permissions --> autostart. From there, pick the apps you want to receive notifications, and toggle the switch to turn it on.
4: Go to settings --> manage apps' battery usage --> choose apps. From there, pick all the apps you want to receive push notifications and select "No restrictions."
hope it will help..
Also have a look here for some more context: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-5s/how-to/miui-kills-background-processes-solution-t3532397
The guys above me pretty much summed it up - setup autostart for the Gmail app and Google service frameworks, disable MIUI memory optimization and lock the Gmail app (menu button --> slide the app thumbnail down and click the lock icon).
Having done all of this, the push notifications are fine. I use the EU rom 7.3.30 (weekly).
Hi,
I have a brand new Mi 6 which im loving (running the standard default theme), however i have a bit of a problem with Gmail.
Im getting all the notifications, no problem at all. However, the floating notifications do not show a preview of the email i have received for Gmail. I get a floating popup, but all it shows is that i have a new email, it does not show who sent the email or the subject line, nothing.
All my other floating notifications are fine. Whatsapp, outlook, facebook etc, all of them show the floating notification with a small preview of what the message is.
Anyone else experiencing this? any ideas?
I have ALL settings correctly set to receive all the notifications, floating, etc and as i said, i DO receive notifications, they just dont show a preview specifically for Gmail. Im using latest Global Rom by the way.

Thanks. This worked perfectly on my Mi Mix2.
I have a kiosk mode app where the user should not interact with the device outside the app. Usually I disable things like notifications, etc. using User Manager options or at least I check that the initial settings aren´t correct checking settings.secure, global or system and redirecting the initial setup engineer to the correct settings page.
But I´m not able to find neither a setting (secure / global / system) that changes with the stylus menu setting nor the stylus menu setting activity.
Any clue will be welcomed.
