Did Samsung Health update break HRM - Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Themes, Apps, and Mods

As title, has anybody else noticed crazy high heart rates on watch/phone since the recent update?

I just checked and I do not see any unusual reports in the health app. Also, I'm using the Active 2 watch.

How does the 360 know "when" to check your heart rate throughout the day?

Bump.... I dont really get it. All of these watch faces have a placeholder for heartrate but it is always 0 for me. What is the point of the placeholder if the BPM tracking is not always on?
Nothing? After a week, I still see no automatic heart rate checks
Have you checked the options?

Android Wear settings for the various apps on the watch.

What does this have to do with heart rate settings?
Because if the Android Wear is somehow blocking the watch heart rate app, you won't see it on the watch.
That is not what this thread is about. I get notifications just fine and I can manually check my heart rate. How am I supposed to get it to AUTOMATICALLY check it

I'm not sure, this is just a guess, but have you ever noticed the green pulsing light on the back of the watch when you take it off? A few times I've noticed this when taking my watch off or messing with it after just taking it off. I feel like this may be related to whatever hardware is used to check your pulse. Either the heart rate monitor is programmed to check your heart rate every so often, or perhaps it's triggered by "abnormal" or excessive movement.

Watch's Heart Rate integration with Google Fit?

I have Google Fit installed on my phone which automatically installed also on my watch. I am able to successfully take my Heart Rate using the Fit application on the watch, but it appears that the results never sync with the app on the phone. When I click on "show graph details" then choose the "Heart Rate" graph, the results are always blank. However the Fit application on the watch clearly has several Heart Rate readings. Can someone let me know if this is the expected behavior? Has anyone been able to view their heart rate on the phone app?
I am looking for the same functionality. I am also wondering why the heart rates taken with with watch are not stored and displayed in Google fit.
Is there a section that we are both missing???
I'm not sure why - I didn't do anything special - but mine syncs perfectly fine.... Maybe try reinstalling Fit?
Make sure that under accounts and then google, you have google fit sync setting on.
---------- Post added at 04:32 AM ---------- Previous post was at 04:14 AM ----------
Also try re-syncing all apps from the Android wear app.
I can't seem to get sleep records to show in Fit, either. Weird.
I had (and probably having) problems with Google Fit too.
Fit on wear didn't sync with the smartphone app, neither with watch sensor (datas shown on Huawei Wear app), neither with Huawei Health, I had 4 different results.
I wiped Fit data (on the phone), reconnected the watch (so, wiped watch data) and now Fit seems working.
Steps are synced and I can see them on the phone, Sleep as Android datas are stored on Google Fit too.
However I don't use Huawei Healt anymore
Anyway, @GuyInDogSuit what app do you use to record sleep data?
And do you guys have managed how to record heart sensor data during the day? On my watch the sensor is working only during Sleep as Android tracking

I normally use Sleep as Android, though it's limited in what watches it works with. The Fit is not supported, though Huawei Watch 1 and 2 are. I'm thinking of returning the Fit and getting a full-blown Android Wear watch, probably the Huawei Watch since it's got more custom ROMs than any other and it has great features.

Ops, I thought Fit = Google fit, not the hardware

Activity Tracker

Hi there,
I just got a Huawei Watch active. I want to use the watch as an activity tracker wich tracks my activity and if possible also my heart rate occasionally. I want to synchronize my burned calories with myfitnesspal.
Right now I got UP By Jawbone and Google fit. I use Google fit as main platform to collect all my sport tracking etc However, up and Google fit does not synchronize with each other.
Does anyone know a good app or good app setup so I can :
- daily activity tracking
- sleep tracking (sleep like android?)
- sport tracking (crossfit)
- heart rate measurement
- correct calorie counting
Thanks!
Yay! Someone who is actually using it as activity tracker. Me too. It seems most folks could care less.
Anyway, I tried several heart rate apps and settled on Perfect Cinch. It doesn't do constant (which kills battery anyway) but you can set it to check at different intervals. There is a two week free trial and it's worth paying for after that.
Sleep for Android seems to be the best app for that function.
I also use Fit, Up, and Huawei Wear. Still trying to see best combination of what works.
And there is an app called Fithub that will sync various apps into one.

New watch, lots of questions

I got a Huawei Watch for Christmas, and have a few questions about it:
1) Notification sounds - it doesn't make any, should it? Is "Feel the Wear" the only way to do it? Surely it should be native?
2) Google Fit is wildly inaccurate on the step count, it always shows way more than it should. But most watch faces seem to use this data source rather than the actual data from the watch. How do I correct this?
3) I installed the Huawei Wear app (which records the steps accurately but smashes my phone battery due to tons of wakelocks!). This app suggests that it does sleep tracking, but it doesn't work. I had a Fitbit Charge HR which does it automatically, is it meant to be automatic on this watch or do I have to switch it on? If so, how do I do that?
Thanks!

Question Any solutions for Pixel 6 Pro with Android 13 not draining battery on Wear OS watches?

I have been having this issue since updating my phone (Pixel 6 Pro) to Android 13. The battery life of my Galaxy Watch 4 Classic (SM-R890) has tanked. I used to get 2+ days of battery life with the watch and after the Android 13 update I got well less than a day. Many people on reddit have the same issue. It is not related to the watch, Other Wear OS watches are having same issue (like TWP3). This appears to be a Bluetooth issue with phone. When I turn off Bluetooth on my phone, my watch is back to 2+ days. In the Sept. update bulletin It said "Fix for issue occasionally preventing certain Bluetooth devices or accessories from connecting". I was hopeful that the Sept. update would fix this issue but alas it does not. I have the Verizon Sept. update (TP1A.220905.004.A1). I currently turn off Bluetooth on my phone so my watch's battery does not drain. It kind of sucks having a smart watch not connected to phone. Does anyone know if there is a way to resolve this issue?
I have the exact same watch and pixel 6 pro, I am not experiencing this issue. Although I do not use google assistant, which was draining my phone and the watch like crazy as you report, after stopping to use I stopped having problems. August update Android 13 galaxy watch app was draining the crap out of my phone, to the point I mostly disabled it and manually allowed the sync, again after Samsung software updates and Sept build all of this has gone away again.
August update was so crap I also did a factory reset of the phone no restore to try to fix all of this, and other issues with Bluetooth, made no difference. With September update almost all these issues have gone away.
If you upgraded from 12 -13 not factory reset I would recommend doing that.
Or backup the watch and reset it, making sure you remove the watch for bluetooth devices on the phone before, so it sets up clean as a bluetooth device.
Do you think that if I disable Assitatant on phone this could resolve issue? I use this feature very infrequently. I do not have installed on watch. I did upgrade from from 12 to 13 as apposed a factory reset. I'm fine doing phone reset though a bit more work (backing up texts, photos, etc.). I did reset of watch after A13 update but pre sept update. Do you think resetting watch now after sept update could resolve? Thanks for your help!
It's Samsung health that's draining the battery. I rolled back to the July version of Samsung health and battery is great. You can also turn off Samsung health permission to "physical activity" and that will help. The problem is the August update for Samsung Health basically keeps keeps the app running constantly on Android 13 because it's trying to sense all physical activity from your phone and doesn't allow the phone to deep sleep. It's interesting because if you roll back to the July build of Samsung Health, you can keep the physical activity permissions on and it doesn't have the deep sleep issue.
Sorry to tell you I'm not experiencing this. I get a good 2.5-3 days of battery life with samsung health and everything running as normal on Android 13 and the latest GW4 update.

Yes, absolutely, do a search for something like huge battery drain after google assistant launches on watch 4, you will see it littered everywhere and the recommendation was to uninstall it. Quick and easy test, then if it makes no difference then just install it again.

Yes there is a number of Samsung chats, blogs about this behaviour and for the best part Samsung seemed to shrug it off

edit - Is it Samsung Health on phone or watch which is causing battery drain?

danw_oz, when I finally reset my phone this fixed the issue for me. Thank you! I tried multiple other things and nothing worked. For me it was not assistant or Samsung Health.
