Hi all. I am looking for a camera app which lets you save profiles (with custom settings) e.g. profile 1 for day and profile 2 for night. Also would like to access each profile via hand movement or gesture. Any app(s) that can do this? Thanks
I'm loving this phone, but I really wish the digital wellbeing app had more of the feature set of Digital Balance (Huawei's version) as I came from a Huawei P20 and I feel like that actually helped me stay off my phone... Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Edit: The features I'm most interested in is the ability to lock all non-selected apps at bedtime and to set an overall screen time limit, not just a per app limit.
Locking all but selected apps is perfectly possible with stock Digital Wellbeing app, certainly in combination with Do Not Disturb settings...
Hi all,
does anyone know if there is a possibility to get a quick toggle (quick settings) or maybe a widget to quickly toggle between 120 and 60 Hz refresh rate?
Thx in advance

Click to collapse
the only way i would know is to set 60Hz in power saving mode and toggle it like that
i found two other ways also, one is this
[App]Galaxy Max Hz (Refresh Rate Mods, Screen-off Mods, QS Tiles, Tasker Support and More)
About this app: Refresh Rate Mods Change default refresh rates -Easily change the overall refresh rate settings of devices supporting multiple refresh rates. -Set supported mid refresh rates as the maximum refresh rate limit for battery...
forum.xda-developers.com
and one is a macrodroid script you can search on the internet.
I've just added 2 macrodroid macros in "example" section.
You can search for "120 Hz" and you'll find my two macros, that can be imported in your list.
One forces user_refresh_rate to 120
The other one forces to 1
Just edit the "event" part, adding a macrodroid bar (which is the toggle added in quick settings panel by macrodroid app itself).
Save!!
Quit macrodroid and Open quick settings panel.
Edit it's toggles list, adding macrodroid bar you just created.
It will add a tile like in the attached pic and when you press it 120hz will be forced apply, like when you press the 120 option in display setting
As title, whenever I open the Camera app, the brightness changed to max level, is there anyway to disable it ? Thanks
It is really inconvenient to hv forced max brightness when using stock camera app. I cannot find a way to turn it off, but you can temporarily fix by openning the cam app, scroll down from the top and adjust the brightness, then, the brightness will be normal until you restart the cam app. You may also consider to install Google Cam app mod, which is available here in XDA (thx for the developers)
You can override it using other app, called Applock. It has function to override app brightness setting. It also can lock your app using PIN, password and biometrics.
I just updated to Android 13 and the Camera app seems to fix this there's also a setting to activate/deactivate "more brightness" in Camera app
I cannot seem to be able to launch Digital Wellbeing on the phone. Installation seems fine but not shortcut on the home screen. Maybe there is an alternative to it for app timers and "bedtime mode" etc.?
