Set a password on your account then create a new user (or login as a guest).
Settings -> System -> Advanced -> Multiple Users
This removes the ability to reset the phone and the password prevents switching to the admin account.

Hello everyone, I'm a newbie to the OnePlus world.
So my question is: how can I disable the password that is required before android is launched on my OnePlus 3 ?
I've searched accross xda but I found nothing, sorry if this has already been answered.
In the beginning I found it very useful, but once I removed Google Keyboard, I was not able to enter that password.
I want to use a modded google keyboard (with number row), and on the xda thread, the dev ask to remove the defaut Google Keyboard.
Regards.
Go into Settings > Security & fingerprint > Screen lock and remove it (choose None).
Once the device is set to none, go back into Settings >Security & fingerprint > Screen lock and choose PIN. It will ask you here if you want secure boot (enter a PIN to start device) or not use it. Just choose the latter.
EDIT: If you have fingerprint set up, you will lose it during this process
Another option is to just switch between password, pin or pattern. You still get the option of not to set on boot, but this prevents the fingerprints to get deleted as they do when switching to swipe or none.
Thanks guys the problem is now solved, I've selected PIN with NONE as option for boot.
I can't do anything else because would like to remove the google keyboard.
To do so you will need to wipe your /data but its possible through twrp for excample. Simply after hard reset chose not to require password after boot
I'm confused as to why Google Keyboard is required for entering a password. Can't you just set your other keyboard to be the default?
I have deleted my mi account permanently and factory reset phone from recover mode. After reboot now i got stuck at activate this account screen. saying the device is associated with (178****225) . what password should i enter ?

Try this it's also delete mi acc
You have to enter your mi account password which you logged in before (factory reset doesnt remove mi account or google account in non xiaomi phones) this option was introduced to by google to enhance the security. After factory reset you have to enter google account password (non Xiaomi mobiles) or mi account password (for Xiaomi phones)

It is not a big problem.
Write an e-mail to Xiaomi's customer service, and they will restore your account in 7-10 days.

Hi can you give some fresh link ,ive checked your link it says file was removed , i also have a problem my device keeps relocking after connecting to internet i tried VPN , deleting find device and my phone stuck on mi logo but i manage to flash it and boots up again my only problem is when i connecting to internet it relocks activate device
I just got one of these from a friend of mine who did a factory reset on it before he gave it to me, and now it asks me to login to a previously used account. Unfortunately, he's terrible at remembering his login information, and he doesn't remember his password for the account he had on this anymore. He doesn't need it because he bought an IPad and doesn't use his google account anymore. So now it's stuck on the login screen. I've looked around and I couldn't find a way to bypass the FRP that I felt I could trust, or that seemed to apply to my device. I was wondering if anyone knew how I could do this?
Well, I didn't figure out how to get rid of the reset protection. But, I did get into the settings and was able to set up and use a guest account.
First get a SD card with an apk on it. I downloaded one from apkpure. Then when the device asks you to connect to a wireless network, check the Show advanced options box. Then in the Proxy settings drop down box, select Manual. And click on the Proxy hostname box to bring up the keyboard, and press the settings button on the keyboard that looks like a gear. From the keyboard settings menu you can click the mulit-window button on the bottom taskbar and can open two windows. Open the file manager in one of the windows. In the file manager click on your SD card and try to install the apk you put on it. When it prompts you that you need to allow Unknown sources in the settings, click on the settings button to open the settings window. (Do not check the allow Unknown sources box, if you check it, and the device resets or runs out of battery you'll have to go through this again, but when you click on the apk it won't prompt you to go to settings to allow unknown sources because they're already allowed.) Now just click on Users and switch to guest. There are some limitations to this mode, like not being able modify the wifi network (you'll have to switch back to the Owner account to change this).
I don't know if there's any way from the guest account to reset the account lock, but at least it's something.
I tried this and got as far as to the part where you said to "click the mulit-window button on the bottom taskbar."
That multi-window button is greyed out for me so I cannot click on it. LG must of patched it up or I am doing something incorrect.
Any other advise will be greatly appreciated!
It's possible it was patched out. They've been fixing little exploits with patches. This is the only way I was able to get any access to the device. All I can really recommend is to try everything. Check every menu, every option, and see if there is opening you can find to get access to the device.

I found a FRP bypass workaround if you are running 5.1.1 on a LG G Pad X 10.1 V930 AT&T model, not sure if all models are the same. It was FRP locked and all of the other bypass methods must have been patched. I was at the setup screen after a factory reset. I hope this helps.
1. Connect to wifi, then go back to start screen
2. Go to Accessibility > Vision > Enable Talkback
3. Go through the talkback training then draw an L to bring up the quick settings select Text to speech Settings (bottom right corner), afterwards you can disable Talkback by holding the power button and holding 2 fingers on the screen until it disables.
4. You will be in the settings app. Go to Users > Add user > User > Add user > Set up
5. You will be brought to a User setup screen select Next > It will pop up the wifi connection screen select next > You will be asked to sign into a Google account, sign into your Google account and proceed with the Google setup.
6. You will be brought to the homescreen. Go to settings > Users > And sign in as Owner.
7. Go to Settings > Factory data reset > Reset tablet. You can now factory reset and you will not be prompted to sign into a Google account.

Use adb instead, and it won't revert back after restart.
Code:
adb shell settings put system haptic_feedback_intensity 0
Hi,
i used this setting, is it not strange that it still works after an hard reset?
Thanks for the tips but it's disabled whole vibration system such as I am not getting vibration when a call received or after the call ends. Is there any way we can only disable vibration while unlocking the phone.
Thanks in advance.

I have the same result, but assuming the device is already verified and secure (as stated by the closed lock picture) I think it's impossible to add a second account - or the same phone two times - to the verification request by pressing "add account and device" button.
So probably it's just a matter of bad translation in the popup, where it says check network and try again

Your account is already logged and you already have secure locked device.
I'm telling we both have this message because of this.
You logged to your MIUI account when you run first installation and you had to connect to MIUI server for security check

no i didnt have to connect it
i'm having the same issue too on a redmi 9, everything is fine mi accoint and i have mobile data on but still cant add my account
Same issue here
found the fix from some guy on xiaomi.eu forum
use this vpn https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.shuttlevpn.free.proxy.gaming
Steps to fix:
1. Change Region Settings to Singapore (Settings App -> Additional Settings -> Region -> Singapore)
2. Use a Singapore VPN (Don't disconnect the VPN till the end.)
3. Log out from your Mi Account
4. Click on create an account, make sure your VPN is still connected and choose Country/Region to Singapore and create a new mi account
5. Go to Mi Unlock Status and it should work now
So it's most likely a case of incorrect translation in the popup where it reads "check network and try again."

Wait.. point n.3 means you have to log out from your account, so you can log in again but on a VPN ???
u don't log in into the same account, u create a new one using the VPN (don't turn it off during the process) on the Singapore region
So I did not get the original request.... my fault.
But the OP pictures shows that the phone is locked and secured, being logged to the account that owns the phone. So, what's the reason to add another account?
I get the same message. But did find a forum where someone said it will still work, just press the button and connect it with your PC in Fastboot with mi unlock tool.
Tried it, "you have to wait 168h..."
Seems to work, tho.
