Thanks . It works flawlessly
It does a pretty good job filming in the dark, indeed. But there seems to be no noise reduction at all in manual mode?
Great. What is the lowest shutter speed available?

• External implementation of noise reduction algorithms require level_3 support of ca2pi.
• Enabling the same isn't in my domain of development nor the developer's.
• A system developer needs to work on camera2api fix on galaxy A50 on system side.
• After that, you can also use my modded Gcam for A50 here :

》How come manual shutter speed is available without camera2api? Why doesn't Google camera work yet ?
• OEM's like Samsung, Huawei etc tend to use their own API's for various purposes over/with Pure Api's from Google.
Hence, even due to limited functionality of pure Api's, various functionalities still can be enabled by Oem's, eg. Manual controls etc.
• Gcam natively requires pure Api's of Google, eg. Camera2api, etc.
Hence there's no other workaround for gcam.

Was wondering if anyone knows if the A50 can shoot RAW DNG?
Has anyone accomplished this? I am guessing this phone doesn't come Camera2Api enabled. If so wondering if anyone has confirmed that the A50 can shoot raw/dng maybe with root and enabling the C2API
Thanks in advance.
Have you tried using the Google camera apk?
The google camera app keeps crashing so thats not a option
Any solution here ? Other blogs indicate A50 may not shoot raw - eu.community.samsung.com/t5/galaxy-a-series/galaxy-a-series-raw-photo-capture-better-camera-functionality/td-p/1547514
Thanks !

you can't friend shoot in raw format. nor do I handle the shutter speed ... the truth is that the a50 camera at night is terrible ... I come from the g6 plus c the gcam and it is terrible how I took photos ... I created a post asking if they would change it to the Samsung a50 for a g8 plus that has Snapdragon and allows you to take decent night photos ... but hey, no one answered me .. I'm not sure what to do because they offered me a g8 plus but the super amoled screen of the a50 and the mirror function of the smartview on the other hand make me not want to change it ...
Hey, I've started work on porting google camera onto Redmi Note 8 Pro.
Gcam development:
Changelogs and downloads:
Here are available versions: https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-wyroczen/
64MP RAW enabler module and new 64mp capable google camera app is here! Check out my celsoazevedo page
Buffer fix:
Hey, so here it is, buffer fix for Redmi Note 8 Pro.
It's first version, not perfect yet. It will be available on celsoazevedo soon
Compatibility:
Android 9 MIUI
Android 10 Custom roms
Android 10 MIUI - untested
What it will give you?
It will fix lag in all gcam apps (mostly 7.x are affected because of no working in app fix yet).
Problems:
As it is first version, it has it's own flaws:
Aux cameras will be super smooth, main camera will still lag a little and sometimes hangs for less than a 1s.
Other bugs?
Please report every encountered bug on RN8P gcam telegram group.

Hello. Thank you for your work. The wide-angle camera and macro work fine in HDR + mode, the main camera does not want to start, the black screen
hdr works on the specified cameras. Enters settings only if the main camera is on. thanks for the work
low contrast, unlike miui camera

Changelogs and downloads:
Here is first public available test version available: https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-wyroczen/
As of now I'm not sure whether gcam can fully work on Mediatek device. Main camera has blackscreen as of now. HDR+ seems to work on Wide and Macro, but it needs further testing.
As I don't have this device, I can't check by myself whether some functions are working good or not. Feel free to test everything carefully Logs (from app on phone or adb logcat), and photo comparisons with stock camera app would be appreciated

You understand coding and developing?
Can you give us answer to one question, and help us all..
This Mediatek chipset , is possible to develop custom ROMs? This chipset is no different than the others..
So if possible to create ,develop ROMs, Kernel and other stuff?
Thanks in advance.

First of all thank you for your efforts.
I tried to test your version. Here you'll find the logcat output. I filtered using grep com.google.android.apps.camera to avoid too much noise. If you need specific test please tell me which steps i had to perform.
Hope this helps.

Hey, I'm gcam modder, not rom developer
It is possible to develop custom roms, kernels, and "other stuff" but it would be better to have full kernel source from xiaomi

ps: sorry OP for off topic
I dont know how to get the logs, but I can describe overall workability.
As said: when option RAW_SENSOR checked in FIX settings, there are full working HDR+ and HDR+ Enchanced on aux Camera - Wide and Macro, and on the front camera.
With alternative config Night Sight is also working, on three cameras. So as the Portrait Mode.
Also capture RAW-dng, seems to be ok.
Noticed issues:
Crash on video
Crash when trying to get to Settings from aux cameras, but if in Aux Cameras settings check the switch "Disable Settings Mode", button Settings is still present and there is no crash anymore.
There are problems with initialization of aux cameras. They starting from time to time. It can be a black screen or loading animation or non-active shutter button. Switch to Front Camera and back helps in 95% of cases.
Problem with deinitialization of camera session. Safety app is sending notification that "The Camera is using Camera in the background", even if forcibly shutdown gcam through the app manager. It causes another system bug, with the notification LED blinking or constantly on with no visible reason..
For now, all that I tested or remembered
What is the use of advanced sensors in redmi note 8 pro when there is no Gcam developers for this mediatek processor RN8 PRO!!!!
Thanks for posting...

Also there is an xml for rn8pro which will fix lag in viewfinder
Oh yes...thanks you...
It's Ok...
I take some macro and wideangle pictures
In most cases Gcam is better :
- captures more détails
- hasn't some unreal AI process you can find on Xiaomi's cam
- most time, better colors
But in one case, I get crazy colors on macro.
This one is better with Gcam :
http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2019/44/2/1572366921-img-20191029-122848.jpg
Than on stock :
http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2019/44/2/1572366922-img-20191029-122915.jpg
This is crazy pink colors with Gcam (only case I get) :
http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2019/44/2/1572366917-img-20191029-123321.jpg
And more accurate (orange) on stock
http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2019/44/2/1572366916-img-20191029-123339.jpg
Wide angle :
More details in trees, more contraste in foggy Sky, less AI artifacts (sharpen) in lighter trees in the middle :

Amazing details on Gcam...even if lights were yellow (Closer to stock's) and not white.
I had some problem to launch Gcam...I had to Erase data and reconfigure
when shooting during the day, it often highlights a blue or purple tint.
Can't even get the camera to initiate within the app. It shows in the background only on the "More" tab. Also, app crashes when location setting toggled off.

Hi all,
I plan to get an OP 11 . Had an OP 9 before for a very short while so very new to OnePlus. Is there a GCAM app availaible ? & how good is it?
Also interested in this as I am in the same boat and the camera software/quality is all that's holding me back.
I thought I heard that GCam support stopped a few generations ago, however I could be misinformed as I have been out of the loop recently. Also I imagine that could have been talking about "official support" or smth (?), which luckily means nothing here as unofficial ports and apks are plentiful.
Gcam does work if you use a codeaurora variant from some of the popular modders featured on Celso Azevedo's Gcam Hub. Interestingly, I haven't been able to get any of the aux cameras working even with tinkering.
I suspect this is not intentional though. OnePlus acknowledged a recent update that broke Gcam compatibility with the oneplus 9 and eventually came out with a firmware update restoring the compatibility. They are definitely NOT anti-gcam. Im assuming the devs with Gcam mods will have aux working fairly soon.
I can confirm that gcam by By Shamim SGCAM_8.7.250.XX.44_STABLE_V4_ONEPLUS_PACKAGE.apk works. if any one finds one that is better let us know..
After rooting op11, I installed gcam By Shamim SGCAM_8.7.250.XX.44_STABLE_V4_ONEPLUS_PACKAGE.apk works well for main camera and front camera but none of the other cameras works.
I heard that OnePlus restrict the other cameras. Is there a magisk modular to fix that ??

What I really don't understand is that OnePlus recently brought back Aux cameras access to the 9 Pro with recent updates but then the 11 doesn't allow Aux access. It's like they haven't had the chance to fix the Color OS restrictions yet since they copy pasted the code. Kinda frustrating.

OnePlus got to realize there is no value in restrictions. The reason most of us choose android over iOS is the freedom to customize.
