Hi,
I like the new gestures, but swipe to go back seams to work 1 out of 5 times, with the clear protective case included. Without it seams to be more effective. Those anyone else have this problem?
Hi jvc1+, I just received mine today Feb. 20, 2020 and I have the same annoying and really frustrating bug!
I don't ve tried to remove the protective case included.
I have the LG G7 One with Android One (10) and the gestures works perfectly without any bug.
Its my first time testing a OnePlus with the famous but for me dissapointing Oxygen OS, that by the way still with the november 2019 security patch meanwhile other devices recentrly received a securuty update patch.

Are you sure one screen guard is not pre-installed already. Mine came pre installed. Just so you'll be certain you're not having double screen guards

Hi
I just got an original 'Elephone P8000' protective case through the post, the one with the Round window at the front?
It fits great so no complaints there, but apparently, when you close the case, it is supposed to display the date and time through the window? Mine doesn't, just a black screen until you press the side buttin and then just the normal screen part showing through the window. Is there a setting that I need to adjust? Anyone else had the same problem?
Thank you
Any info on this please?

I got the same case when I ordered my phone. Yes it should bring up a circle with the date and time. Check if the case has a little magnet like thing next to the hole for the ear piece on the top. The basically covers the sensor next to the camera to "tell" the phone that the cover is closed. If it's not there then the case might be faulty.
Mine works just fine though but I wished they had some options to use the little circle window there for something like LG G4 case.
yes it sounds like the magnet thing isn't activating the clock, are you on the stock rom and if so which version? Don't think flyme rom works with the round clock though I haven't checked.

I have the stock rom as it came. Didn't change anything on it. If you have Flyme Rom then you can do a google search or if they have a specific forum for Flyme and P8000 they can probably give u some advice.
I'm using the 1508 rom and it works fine, might be worth getting another case as they are cheap or contact your seller and see if they'll send you a replacement.
posted this on op3t QA forum but figured i post it here too since I am desperate for ideas
Bought my One Plus 3t almost 14 days ago.
I am running latest freedom rom with xceed kernel.
This annoyance has kept going on intermittently. I noticed it when I'm on calls , but it still happens when I'm not.
I'll turn on the screen, use fingerprint, it unlocks phone, soft buttons work and UI responds, but the screen itself, won't respond to any of my touches. If i turn the screen off and on twice, it will begin responding.
WTH right?
Edit, def happens when i'm on a phone call way more, just happened twice while on the phone with OPO. could it be my glass screen protector?
sounds like your device may be defective, contact support for rma.

Easy way to check that prior to an RMA. Remove it and check. What brand protector?

icehockey.
No glare and no bubble in the middle.
I flashed an updated kernel and it hasn't happened since, so i'll continue testing it and if need be ill roll all the way back to stock and test it there for a few days
so I have my A70 for two weeks now and I am happy with it. the fingerprint scanner is okay, not as fast as the physical one but I do not mind. my security update version is 1 may 2019.
so yesterday I noticed that, at work when I take my phone out of my overall chest pocket I find it unlocked and many apps open. it did this consistently throughout the day. after a lot of experiments and investigation I figured out that fingerprint scanner reads the fabric of the overall as my fingerprint and unlocks the phone!! just the slightest touch of the fabric to the sensor and it opens immediately. so I went to fingerprints setting and through (check added fingerprints) I figured out what fingerprint the sensor was recognizing and I deleted it, but the fabric was recognized again and again until I deleted all of the added fingerprints.
when I went home I enrolled my fingerprints again and tested it on the fabric many many times and other types of fabrics also and it did not unlock, so I thought that solved the problem, but today at work the same thing happened again!!
I am really disappointed in the fingerprint scanner now, I really like the phone but I do not want to go back to PIN unlock.
so, what is going on?!
note: I work in an office and I had the phone for two weeks without problem and I always put it in my chest pocket, but yesterday and today we had site visit and it is hot here and I got really sweaty. may be the sweat is causing the problem?
Be it sweat or anything else, this shouldn't happen. Take your device to the nearest Samsung customer service center and tell them to have a mechanical check on the device.

Don't buy cases with magnets, they mess with the functionality of the phone.

Gotta admit, I've never seen anything like this! There has to be a gap of some sort between the screen and the protector, so I wonder how well the screen responds? I'm currently using the sandstone case from OnePlus along with the factory applied screen protector and both are working well for me so far. The price seems fair. So we need some guinea pigs. Looking forward to reading some first hand reviews.
this is a scam. I ordered from one of those ads on facebook. Its the same damn product advertised by different websites (allbort, bowbul, desoor). They are all in china. One on ebay is 7 bucks but these websites charge 21 bucks. I cancelled the order 4 hrs after putting it. Even though they say they will cancel the order if it has not shipped, they didnt cancel and sent me an email 2 days later that they can not cancel it because it has shipped. Then I think well, give me the shipping tracking info. Now they say there is a problem with the post-office. I tried to resolve it with paypal but there were of no help either.

I bought and used one of those two sided tempered glass magnetic screen protector for just short of four months. As soon as I got it I spent time looking for alternate cases but was surprised that I liked it better than my initial impression. At first I thought the back was more slippery than a fish just out of water but that wasn't true even when my hand was sweaty. Note that I'm a two handed phone user.
Every week or so specs of dirt would appear under the screen like with a tgsp that isn't full adhesive. I just opened the cover then use a piece of tape to remove the specs and it looked great again. Unfortunately the weekly clean eventually was the end of that case. Prying the top and bottom apart must have twisted the top as the tempered glass cracked. Within a day I saw a similar crack on the bottom half. So be very careful when you eventually need to remove specs of dirt.
One other draw back of this case is the lack of sensitivity at the very bottom of the screen. If you use Gestures then no matter how high you crank up screen sensitivity in the settings it is not good enough. My solution was to install FNG (Fluid Navigation Gestures) from the playstore. You can set it up for left or right side gestures and the case has enough sensitivity to work reliably.
Oddly enough even though I no longer use the case and have turned down screen sensitivity to normal plus have Android 10 installed (better gestures right in the OOS), I still use FNG. It has more features that I'm not prepared to give up.
Finger print scanner sensitivity was never an issue once I cranked up the settings and re-entered my finger prints.
the case i recieved bent when i was trying to unattach the magnets
These magnetic cases look beautiful until you drop it. It falls apart, is slippery and provides zero protection. I bought one for my previous s10+. Just fell apart and phone flew out and hit the floor. Beautiful dent near the top right edge of the phone.
Thanks everyone for the info. I guess it is not worth it!

I'm curious about FNG, I downloaded and got pro to see if it could replace xposed edge for me for full side navigation. It seems like it might, however I can't get the additional gestures of swipe up and down to work. I have them set as home and recents but nothing happens. Back works just fine, so does menu as backs secondary function. All permissions it asked me are enabled. Any help would be appreciated.
Sorry for being completely off topic.
Case is ****. Plastic not glass.

I'd never used the up/down swipes but gave them a try and they both worked to start an app. At first the gesture was very unreliable. I adjusted the "Sensitivity" slide (in settings on the same page as you assign the swipe action), to half way and then the swipe was perfectly consistent. The sensitivity widened the swipe area farther into the screen. I think any phone case that is close to the screen border makes the swipe area more difficult to contact and be recognized by FNG.
Okay, so recently I decided to put a screen cover on my OP 9 Pro and I cannot use the fingerprint. Did anybody else had this issue with the fingerprint?
Also I'm running Android 13 on my device.

Yeah, I did with a protector from Ebay. I bought one from T-Mobile when I got the phone, it worked fine, but when they put it on, they ended up leaving a fingerprint on the underside of protector which was very annoying. The glass protector from TMO for the OP9P does work. It has a special clear area where the fingerprint icon area is. Hope this helps.
I'm using this case from Amazon. Works awesome with finger print and wireless charging, best made case I've found to date.
