Yes, it's get me same result "no update", region setting UAE. As I know, no one C185 users have emui 10 update.

I have not received yet. Tried changing the regions, no luck. I will wait for the stable version of EMUI 10 which is scheduled in Dec.

I received long time a go as beta version EMUI 10 ( i was participating in beta project), now i got stable version update with latest security patch.
But my 5G version has no beta and no EMUI 10 yet

I have Mate 20x , my version is 9.1.0.345(C185E3R2P1).
I have tried all methods which is included that to change Hicare region (Denmark or Germany) for 2 weeks.
But nothing changed.. What shame that huawei bring shame upon us all.
They screwed up about relationship withusa and google, so their software department begun to collapse.

Yep, shame on their shabby update methods. Funny thing is if I change my hicare app to United Arab Emirates for my c432 model I get update notification for 10.0.0.180 .[emoji1787]

lol no shame there guys. its regular updating strategy like all other manufacturers: they roll out in (regional) waves, never all at once. its always been like that, so just be patient

Not to sound like a broken record, but my C636 in Europe is still stuck on 9.0.0.xxx. HiCare, no HiCare, region change, matters not.

Agreed. Even if one reads the official Huawei description of update , it's bare bones. Been back on 9.1 and loving it.
I think there was another user on here with c185 and Emui 10.

Chinese phone to global rom?

Hello, I am sorry for the stupid question but really can find a definite answer to it. If I purchase a MAX 3 now from China, obviously with Chinese rom, will I be able to flush it with Global rom once they have global version of the phone and will the phone update with OTA from there on? I suppose there shouldnt be a problem if the Global version of the phone is identical to the Chinese version (the only kind available so far). But is this the case historically with Xiaomi's devices? Thanks for your advises.

I want one too but what's the likelyhood of customs charging you the 20% VAT (Plus the admin fee) on top of that?
I haven't had much experience ordering stuff like this from abroad so it will be good to know the odds!

If you are worried about customs. For instance if you live in the EU.
Then buy from a seller who puts a man-in-the-middle and ships first to a EU member country and then to your destination country and you will avoid both import fee and whatever percentage VAT your country use.
This is how we bought our Redmin note 4 Mido but it shipped from Italy instead of Great Britain as specified in the ad below.
https://www.aliexpress.com/store/pr...agon-636-Octa-Core-6/3010045_32897985587.html
Xiaomi are starting to be sold by local electronic store all around Europe so you and even I might not even need to buy mine from overseas.
But the chances are the VAT and all fees going to add up so it might not be worth it even so and will be cheaper to import anyway.
But hang on a minute. There is new articles published about the Mi Max 3 Pro yesterday.
If you want that one maybe hold on a few more weeks to see what happens.

Thats new and great information to be aware of!
You can read more about that here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-5-pro/how-to/faq-questions-answered-t3816185
To know if your device is affected type this is fastboot:
Code:
fastboot getvar anti
The displayed output : 3 shall mean you're fine while 4 shall mean you're in the Anti-Rollback squad.
3.Is the ROM global ROM? Does it have multi-language and Google Play?
It's Chinese version. We will flash global ROM. It has multi-language and Google Play after flashing. It can upgrade by OTA.
Does this sound legid to you? What kind of rom they would be flashing if there is no official Global version yet or so we think? This is the major Xiaomi aliexpress seller....

Thats a bummer
Anyway it would be strange of them to announce one standard lower end model Mi Max 3 and then a few weeks later another more powerful choice of configuration.
They would probably had them showed off at the same keynote.

Yeah, it would have made more sense. The only thing I could have thought was that they wanted to sell more of the lower spec'd units first and maximise sales that way.
Either way, it's a shame

Same here in the UK, will be installing shortly.
Just finished installing the update... No specific changes noticed. I thought this update will be the same to China rom versions where they now have supermacro mode in settings.. not only thru AI DETECTION...
After the update I'm having trouble with the proximity sensor. It stops suddenly. Usually when I put the smartphone in the pocket. It was perfect before 172. Anybody notice anything? Any tips?

***** HELP **** MATE 20 X EVR L29 Phone Locked and FDR Locked after EMUI 10 Update

Last Thursday, November 21st 2019, I made the biggest mistake of my life... I bought the MATE 20 X 3 months ago and all worked perfect with the EMUI 9.1. Thursday Evening I got the notification that the new EMUI 10 was ready to be installed, and I did it.
Now my phone it is unusable. When I start the phone I get a warning message telling me that I'm using a different version of the operating system. If I press the power button, I enter in eRecovery mode and any option I choose ends with error. I cannot do the Recovery over WIFI, I'm getting PACKAGE ERROR.
When I enter in FASTBOOTMODE, I got the ANDROID LOGO (GREEN ROBOT) and below 2 message Phone Locked, FDR Locked.
Can someone help me?
Thank you in advance.
Same issue
EVR-L29 C636 I'm guessing? I actually have the exact same issue. I believe according to the folks at the P30 forum as well as Huawei's website, 10.0.0.180 is NOT the final Android 10 update for the Mate 20 X. As a result, you are probably the third, or fourth at least, person with a bricked phone as a result of this update erroneously being pushed by Huawei.
You may attempt to contact them, but I don't think they can help if you're in the States. Mine has a Malaysia warranty (3 years nonetheless) and I haven't even bothered to contact because I have heard they are wholly unable to help.
PSA TO EVERYONE WITH AN EVR-L29 C636: DO NOT UPDATE TO ANDROID 10 UNTIL THE FINAL OTA IS RELEASED. It seems this OTA is bricking devices. I tried for about 10 hours using HiSuite and many different images for the EVR-L29 C636 as well as dload images and USB drives with no success. Once you flash 10, you CANNOT downgrade it seems, unless if someone on the forum has the august wisdom to provide a solution (which would be much appreciated).
C636 here upgraded with 10.0.0.180 + patch 1
No issue at all.
wondering if thats what the "patch 1" is for....
Thank you for the answer. I have contacted HUAWEI Support and as you said they are bouncing the ball around. Mine has a Chinese Warranty. I have open a ticket in most of the countries (United States, Canada, Mexico, China and Egypt) and I'm getting different answers from everyone.
The United States support said because the MATE 20 X was not released in US there is no warranty and there is no service center that can help. They have a service center in Texas called mobiltechglobal (I have tried to send an email also to them) but they didn't reply yet and I don't know if they will.
Now they have messed up to push the EMUI 10 and they should fix it.
I was trying to find a service center in Canada that will re-flash the ROM.
I found the DC-Unlocker tool, but the MATE 20 X is not listed as supported device. Have anyone tried this tool before? I will work?
I was thinking also to buy a NM SD Card and try the TWRP, but I don't know if this will work at this point.
I'm pissed because I have paid 700 USD for a phone I have used 3 months. Actually it is a great phone, I love the Camera, the built quality, the sound and the display.
Thanks

What Cust code is your device? Do you happen to have a screenshot of the build number prior to the update when it was on emui 9.1?
Do you happen to have a screen shot of what the update screen showed?
Was your device sealed new when you bought it and from where?

Was it a Chinese model? Ngp store primarily sell the Chinese model region Huawei devices. But also the c636 one.
@IAmTheDarkOne had the same issue with his c636 model I believe.
Also, @filip_pine did a discussion on here elaborating on what a factory sealed box looks like. The general consensus was those with security stickers on were opened before once.

judging from your post youre pointing towards the possibility of the shop selling modified AL00 models from china that were changed with a C636 cust, is that correct? this in turn potentially leading to a bricked device when a C636 EMUI10 update is pushed to an original AL00 device.

No, that's not what I was saying. I don't think they can change al00 to a full blown evr-l29. In any case NGP Store also sells global variant, most probably the c636 which op has.
NGP is legit, I bought a tablet from them a while ago, plus they sell their Amazon returns on Swappa.,which I've seen many listed there. He's too expensive for me though these days.lol

Correct it was the same problem. I'm hoping when we get some dload packages for 10.0.0.180 we should be able to unbrick it. My current understanding was that my dload attempts have failed because erecovery will not allow you to downgrade from 10 to 9.1 without using hisuite from within android so the hope is that once we can get our hands on a 10 dload package it should just be a matter of using either erecovery via wifi or dload method to recover.

Sorry bud. I have the exact same problem. I tried dc-phoenix but it fails to write to system so don't waste your money like I did. If your phone is locked which puts you in the same boat as me all you can do is wait for 10.0.0.180 to come out as a dload package then use otg to update

Seems to be the case. Huawei hong kong told me the only way they'd warranty is if I send it to a relative in hong kong to deal with it lol. I don't got those. They won't even let me pay shipping both ways so this whole ordeal with huawei has left a very bad taste in my mouth. I was already choked about the removal of bootloader unlock codes. From what I've gotten here the only way to fix it will be to wait until they release the full 10.0.0.180 firmware and I don't have that kinda time.
I still get the last laugh though. I'm canadian. They didn't honor my warranty and we're holding their CFO lol

Thank you a lot, So I'm not alone... LOL... Now yestarday HUAWEI US replied to my email and they told me to open a service ticket with HUAWEI China. First I don't speak Chinese and also in Order to open a ticket you have to provide a Chinese address.
I also tried to contact a HUAWEI Service center in Italy and they told me that they will be able to fix it, but I have to send them the phone. I checked and the shipping cost are very high. So I'll be patient and I'll wait. End of the story, if I understood correctly, once the full 10.0.0.180 firmware will be released I should be able to use the eRecovery and the phone will be back as new? Thank you guys for your support.

I experienced similar issue. I installed a beta app on my Mate 20x but did not login using the Huawei ID. After few days, I received an update to build 10.0.0.180. I thought this is the stable update and installed it. Now my phone is soft bricked. I have my family pictures on the phone which are not backed up. My bootloader is locked. And I did not install any custom recovery or firmware. I did not use any external tools.
I tried recovery with hisuite and erecovery but every thing fails.
Are you guys sure that soft brick will resolve after they release it for phone's region. My Mate 20 X is from Singapore but I live in the UK. This is really bad of Huawei to push an OTA which bricks people's phone.

S20 Ultra Exynos Faster Performance After ATD3

So i updated my Vodafone UK ATCT to Stock ATD3 and the autofocus feels a lot faster even battery life feels improved i never had none of that green tint issue but i felt my Battery drain so fast and heat up on ATCT but the issues i was facing seems to have gone away after i updated to this version. Anyone else had any decent results from this version?

At present, China's unique Galaxy S20 series TD1 firmware has significantly improved the fingerprint recognition experience and changed the fingerprint entry logic. This is an update worthy of your expectations.

Four days after updating the TCT firmware, China updated the Galaxy S20 series firmware TD1 again, once again improving the focus, HDR, and fine-tuning the transition animation. There are other improvements to be discovered.

Nice that looks really promising so we should see that in 2 weeks from now? Thank god i put the unlocked version of the firmware on my phone since it takes Vodafone UK ages to get the updates.
TD3 already out - the phone is still getting hot (not as hot) and battery is slightly better but problems still are
also i noticed the phone charges really slow after this update to the point where if you're using it while charging is actually not charging

Can I ask, when you installed the unlocked version did you do a wipe? I'm currently on Vodafone locked and can see the updates come a good week or two after BTU versions so I was considering doing the same, I did with previous Samsung phones I've owned. I've used Odin so I know what to do it's just been a while so thought I'd ask the question and if I'm right if I use Home_CSC that doesn't wipe does it?

You need to use samkey. You need to install on a laptop etc and buy credits. The best place to buy credits is ebay. It only takes 1 credit to change csc.

I haven't noticed any charging issues but i do charge my phone slowly cause i have a theory having it charging fast can put more wear on the battery and give it a less life span but that's just me.

Yeah i did a full wipe this is the one i used from SamFW https://samfw.com/firmware/SM-G988B/BTU/G988BXXU1ATD3 You're correct Home_CSC doesn't completely wipe it it's the CSC_OMC which completely does the wipe i did the CSC_OMC cause i wanted to make sure nothing was left on it when i did the unlocked firmware.

I think the CSC are multi universal so just did the update via Odin i read somewhere that you have to be on ATCT in order to flash the unlocked ATD3 though.

Flashing BTU file does not mean you will get the unlocked BTU software when it comes out before VOD. You will have to changed the csc in order to receive BTU update as VOD and BTU are from the same multi csc. Additionally changing the csc will get rid of any carrier apps, boot screen etc.
So i can just download the BTU updated software (currently on O2's software) and it'll work fine? I have been out of the android game for so long wow haha

Look at where it says Software Provider Ser Ver. Note yours says VOD so you will still get updates from VOD and not BTU. Points to note mines was originally VOD but I have changed it to BTU and have received BTU update since.

Basically to get the best benefit of BTU is to change the csc to BTU. Secondly if you flash BTU onto a VOD you will still get VOD.

EVR-L29/C636E5R2P3 still on 11.0.0.150

Hi, my Mate 20X EVR-L29/C636E5R2P3 is still on 11.0.0.150, with June 2021 security patch. Is that the latest one? I thought we were supposed to still get security patches for a while? (Albeit less frequently). Thanks.

There's a limit to how many updates you can expect for a phone released in 2018, although I believe EMUI 12 might be coming our way.

You can se your answer in the article, is based on Harmony, so its Google.

Kinda confused by your answer, maybe you can clarify. The article states that it will provide "a user interface similar to Harmony" which doesnt mean it will be a harmony OS. Nor does it state it'll be google based either.
Btw the "new" features in 12 arent mind blowing at all. The grand majority of them are already present in 11.
