Hey guys i was trying to install a recovery in to my Xperia T3 D5106 and i used the flashtool software (now emma) to do it. It turns out that emma only supports the D5103 version but i proceed anyway (because i'm stupid) and installed something that the emma say it's a Service (i guess it's a updated ROM and recovery) in to the T3 D5106. But the phone now won't boot and it stuck in a warning message saying:
"WARNING
The software version does not correspond with this model type
Model
[SEAGUL_REX]
Software
[SEAGUL_GINA]"
I tried restoring it with Xperia companion but failed to do so because the bootloader is unlocked. Is there anyway to comeback from this? I've downloaded the original ROM of my device but i don't know how to flash it. If anyone know how can i revert to the original ROM i would be very grateful.
Thanks.
Nevermind, the phone booted after the warning message. I don't know what happened, maybe i wasn't waiting long enough. I can't access recovery though.
Hello everyone.
Yesterday I decided to upgrade my G4 from MM to Nougat. I used a guide from xda (https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/guide-upgrade-h815-locked-bootloader-to-t3684945) and it worked flawlessly.
However I want to root my G4 so I can install Xposed and Viper4Android but I have no clue how or if it's even possible to do it without downgrading my android version.
If anyone could link me a good guide or tell me how to do it I'd appreciate it a lot.
Just like in MM you can't root if your bootloader is locked.
Enjoy the N beta for now and just wait steadfasterX to release the unofficial BL unlock method

First unlock Bootloader like in MM. YES its works in Nougat too !
Connect Phone via USB to PC with USB Debuggin in Developer option
In Terminal/ Console:
ADB Devices = Phone was detected
ADB reboot bootloader = Phone boot into Bootloader
FASTBOOT Devices = Phone was detected
FASTBOOT flash recovery twrp3.1.1-1-g4.img
Pull Battery out, put back and bootup Phone, first boot fails but the 2nd boot was okay.
After Phone boots up its in ADB Mode again.
ADB Devices = Phone was detected
ADB reboot recovery = Phone boot into TWRP
In TWRP, install TWRP and SU like you did in MM. Install Root Checker and check the root status, DONE
Finished, rooted Nougat !!
hello, I followed the guide step by step, I flashed the twrp recovery, but when I try to start the recovery mode, "no command" appears with the android symbol. I read online that just press a key combination I have tried many but I have not succeeded, if someone can help me thank him very much

just do as how g7 goes in to recovery mode.
I purchased a XA1 Plus since I needed an upgrade (so-05d from docomo) which I rooted way back then. I though I would try to root my new XA1 Plus since I like the flexibility and access of root, I got up to the point of unlocking the bootloader but I can't for the life of me find a proper guide / how to root my XA1 Plus.
Thus, I would (if possible) to relock the bootloader on my phone so I can get system updates and remove that annoying message at start of every boot.
The method I used was straight from Sony
https://developer.sonymobile.com/unlockbootloader/
Any help is appreciated, thanks.
Just flash a stock FTF from Xperifirm using Flashtool then relock it after the flash is completed.
Hi - Can you please share the steps on how did you root xperia XA1 plus model ? I want to root my phone.
After I unlocked the bootloader, I could not install the firmware version with android version 7.0 or higher whether by Miflash or TWRP. They all lead to hanging logos or bootloop.
Has anyone met a case like me?
