1-Why is my phone now showing as a G925P(Edge) Phone?
------*Clarity* This Rom was cooked up by @ram9200 for the G925P device and has been confirmed to work as a custom Rom on your G920P devices. So it will now show up as a 925P in certain info fields.
Since he has integrated our edge Kernel into the Rom, that's why your last installation step to flash the 920P Kernel. I'm not 100% sure what all edge features you will be able to utilize. Edge features are not promoted to work in the OP for the time being, till they can be confirmed working. Only reported features i've seen so far was from @JoeFCaputo113 in post 23
2-Is the red "RECOVERY is NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING" text on boot screen normal?

Another cool option!

The network speed indicator gets in the way of the center clock. Is there a zip to either revert back to default or just move the clock back to the right or just remove the indicator lol? Also what is the csc fix?

The Stock system ui will put the indicator and clock back to stock.
Csc fix:=Reverts "Disable home to wake mod"

Since I did the volume fix and fixed permissions my gmail app won't work and just says unknown issue with Google play services.

Those are symptoms of not flashing the G920P Kernel

So I flashed v3.1 but still am having the issue. I installed the apk too. I'm guessing the bottom line is don't fix permissions on this Rom on the 920P. And since that seems to be a requirement for the fixes to work, those are not options either for us. I'll try reflashing v3 then 3.1. Seems like that should fix my issue.

Anyone have an MD5 for 3.1? Also is everyone's fingerprint scanner n private mode working? Thanks!

Not necessary. I dirty flash new versions, but as you probably know, A clean flash is always recommended. Roll the dice if you're comfortable.

Well considering this kernel was working on Twisted project and the OP did not specify a requirement of a specific kernel, and I the kernel i had worked ok on twisted
I wanted to know if this required a specific kernel.
Also I wanted to know if anyone had a recovery flashable version as my video card took a **** yesterday and it's gonna be a couple days before newegg delivers my new one.
But in typical autistic 10 year old fashion, rather than be actually helpful you just had to be a condescending prick.
I bet that works out real well for you offline.

I was able to fix this by rolling back a google play services version and then updating by the way. Took a few trys but it stuck.

I sincerely apologize if I've done anything to offend you. Not my intentions at all.
The reason you need to flash a G920P Kernel after is that as stated in the following change log. The Rom already includes a Kernel, which is for the G925P .
I'm not familiar enough with the G920P to recommend a Kernel . If your device has one that is highly used, I can add it to the OP.

Here we go, WW update, latest rom for us! Thanks to chicken on the Vietnam telegram group. I'll post more later when I get home regarding magisk etc.
For now though, place in root of the storage and restart. But hang fire of you're rooted and want to remain so, I'll post instructions later, unless of course you know what you're doing. I just want to check magisk via ota method works before I post in detail here...

Update with root : I was running magisk 20.1 prior to updating. After placing ota in root of internal storage and rebooting, system update should be detected. Click to install. Once completed don't restart the device, just choose 'later', then go to magisk manager and choose install. Then choose install ota. After that, reboot and you should have a fully updated and working latest rom with latest magisk still intact

Umm, good question! I just posted the changelog, not sure what it allows to do. Will have a Google etc later if I get a chance...
Perhaps, for instance, when going around corners in a car racing game the slide option allows gradual increase in steering? But that's a complete guess at this point!

Basically, yeah, it allows gradual sliding to control, for instance, walking /sprinting in pubg or gradual drifting in asphalt... But I have used it yet, I'm only telling you what I was told! Hopefully that's correct though...

Haven't gotten this OTA update, didn't get .25 either. I'm not sure why because my device is untouched. Anybody else seeing this issue? I'm on a WW device, Indian variant, 8/128.

1. Have you had any updates without forcing them?
2. These updates are early releases from CN or Taiwan or Vietnam (somewhere along those lines) and the updates for eu and India market will no doubt get released at some point in the future from the main asus website.
3. Although you may have bought a device with WW rom installed, doesn't mean the fingerprint has been changed. You can check with device info hw from playstore. You'll find, under system, your product id and rom plus fingerprint, they all need to match.
4. That said, even then I'm not sure (if they do all match) you'll get the updates without manually installing them. I can't say for sure as I always download the early bird releases from Vietnam telegram group. I've never waited to see if updates to indeed happen automatically here in UK...

2. I thought so too, just need to confirm.
3. It's an official Indian variant from Asus, so fingerprint mismatch is unlikely. I think it's just that .25 was never officially released, and I'll probably get .35 soon. Hopefully!

.21 was an official release. .25 still hasnt been updated on the Asus Bios firmware page, so I assume it wasnt official. .35 still hasn't been updated on the Asus Bios firmware page, so its still not available. If you have a genuine WW phone (like my North American WW bought from B&H) then just download, put in the root directory, and reboot the phone to install.
I've just done mine, and works great! :good::good:

There is no actual full on change-logs with Android One devices are there? Some OEMs do that (like LG used to do)

Hope it solves vibrator weirdness. U couldn't have short vibrations like the G-board ones without having the whole "touch vibrations" systemwide. Weird...
Downloaded the update, yet to install, will report back.

It seems more than the usual size of security patch, Mi A1 got it for 80 MB I think, hopefully Android 10 comes before December.

Restore stock boot image. If you allowed system modifications in TWRP, you will need to reflash system image as well.

Until now no novembre update for the EU version

No change here...

After November update, default launcher seems different, folders open in a bigger box and icons are more spaced, not the best change :/
Also folders don't open symmetrically

Isn't that a server side change? I still don't have this option in settings. It's probably the last Google app without dark mode on my phone.

It's dark in the stock launcher.

Settings-->Display-->Device Theme->Dark and Developer options->night mode->always on. And it was dark. Could be server side.

1.Fixed that only 1 up event when user touch screen by 2 fingers

1. Check software version of your device**
2. Download device software and Update SOP (From “Manual” Item)
3. Only apply to same SKU update, Example: WW->WW, CN->CN, TW->TW.

I believe the 10 indicates the month of the security update, which is October

I've had this FW for a month already... LOL...
I'm getting pretty angry at Asus now.. The Kunai game pad lag and missed inputs is doing my head in... Great hardware, absolute rubbish implementation and support....

Which version of health are you using, i tried beta, updated beta and current release 511, watchface enabler runs ok in vxposed but can get either the multiple custom faces or early updater working.

Works as described, here's how:
open magisk and go to downloads, download riru core, choose install. download edxposed framework, choose install, reboot phone.
next download edxposed manager from github, copy and install to phone.
Only after this is done install the early updater apk, choose package installer as the method if asked.
now open edexposed manager, go to modules and enable the early updater module.
Now you can open health and update the watch.
virtual exposed does not work with any version of health but the above works perfectly if followed correctly.
Bad news is even after all this the update enables nothing new outside china, no sp02, no NFT so anyone hoping for new features is wasting their time.

But it's confirmed that the global gt2 have Spo2 hardware? It's just a question of Huawei enabling it with a fw update?

Unsure, if anyone has a concrete statement from Huawei that the hardware exists in models shipped outside china it would be nice if you could post it for all to see, but otherwise why don't we use this forum / post to see what hardware versions are around the world, my suggestion is we start with everyone simply posting "country of purchase:model number:sp02-yes or no"
I have seen other posts from Huawei stating that some features / sensors / hardware are in the situation of either no hardware certification outside china or no software licensing outside china, an example would be on another huawei smartband where it had wifi but it's not certified by the FCC or any other local authority other than in china.
If people can comile this info im prepared to look at the firmware, the protocols and methods of pushing, there is already a very good security paper on reverse engineering the health app, i've already touched base with this guy so we can have a chat about what he learnt already about the bluetooth transfer protocol and if it can be applied to modifying firmware.

I have seen other posts from Huawei stating that some features / sensors / hardware are in the situation of either no hardware certification outside china or no software licensing outside china, an example would be on another huawei smartband where it had wifi but it's not certified by the FCC or any other local authority other than in china.

Works as described, here's how:
open magisk and go to downloads, download riru core, choose install. download edxposed framework, choose install, reboot phone.
next download edxposed manager from github, copy and install to phone.
Only after this is done install the early updater apk, choose package installer as the method if asked.
now open edexposed manager, go to modules and enable the early updater module.
Now you can open health and update the watch.
virtual exposed does not work with any version of health but the above works perfectly if followed correctly.
Bad news is even after all this the update enables nothing new outside china, no sp02, no NFT so anyone hoping for new features is wasting their time.

have it done exactly in this way. enabled the HGT app in EDXPOSED Manager, made a soft reboot - opened the health app but no new software version.
still version: 1.0.3.62

I can confirm, cant get 1.0.6.26 installed with early updater, any chance of a version 2 to get the new update?
Also a couple of bugs with the early updater, when active as a module health reports watch fw version as single digit '1' no .0.5.56 after, resolved after disable in edmanager, when active and install old wear beat .21 it wont update either beta health version or device list, again goes away on deactivation.
can also confirm having vpn to any of the countries listed above as getting updates to 6.26 does not work, as mentioned it must be a serian number based rollout.

Posted on Huawei's own forum, dated 12th April 2020, a statement from Huawei customer service re 1.0.6.26 rollout.
"Hi MDC, we do understand your concern. currently being pushed to end-users batch by batch. Once the update is available in your country, you will receive a notification alerting you to its availability and prompting you to update. Kindly do stay tuned and thank you for your understanding."
