I need help with my LG G8 still Sim locked to Att. I have tried different webpages to no success. I bought it in great conditions online. The phone is excellent, but I wish to use it as my daily driver.

Provided that the phone was paid for by the original owner and is not tied to an existing contract you should be able to get that code from at&t. Problem is that a lot of those online deals (e-bay) were never paid off and have been blacklisted

I checked online and the IMEI hasn't been reported lost, stolen, or (according to the IMEI report that I paid $3.00 usd for) doesn't have late fees or any other contract problems.

I tried the Att unlock service, and after 5 days they replied :
Current status - Denied
Your unlock request was denied because the device is no longer supported by the manufacturer and we can't obtain an unlock code.
At this point I'm totally clueless.

They have terrible customer service just call them and ask to speak to a certain department pretty sure. Look it up online

I have purchased the Sony Xperia ZL from Mobilicity (Canada) version (6502) and I want to unlock my phone so that I can use it abroad or even with another provider. I paid for my phone in full but Mobilicity does not want to give me the unlock code. Is there a work-around for this?

I don't think there is, and since the unlocked versions of the phones are easily obtained, I don't see it happening soon. But since the Z and other phones might have similar basebands, it could happen. How much did you pay for the phone? Could you return it and buy an unlocked version elsewhere?
Paid $700 for it with taxes. Can't return it.

You can't?? That's very unfair, a SIM and bootloader unlocked version would probably be about the same price. Is that their policy to not unlock phones? I would raise hell with them and make them do it.

Are you paying the phone off monthly or did you pay the $700 when you got it? T-Mobile in the US for example will not unlock the phone if you defer your payments until you pay it off.
I paid for the phone. Not a fan of contracts. Saved a lot of money on monthly promotions with my previous phone and decided to do the same with this one. Whenever I call, they say that they cant do that or that they have no idea what im talking about.

Sounds like you are stuck unfortunately. You might find an online unlock service that can come out with an unlock code. I suggest you read through some Mobilicity forums, like Howard Forums http://www.howardforums.com/forumdisplay.php/541-Mobilicity

Currently in the USA but will go to Asia to continue studying. (Will get the LG G3 in less than a week from T-Mobile raffle)

paid for unlock, pretty sure you'll be to.
why not sell the phone and buy a phone in the asian country you'll be going to, you'll be able to get LTE there since you might not have the correct LTE bands for that country
If you snoop around the site, for info on bringing non-Tmobile phones in. It has rules for unlocking our phone. But they include "fully paid off phone" and minimum service and account time before they will let us.
If you talk to a customer service rep and explain your situation they might let you unlock sooner.

Some people have the phone, I had the phone but sold it and you will be able to buy a unlock code for a few bucks
-Buy the phone outright you get the request put in at the store. (What I did)
-Own the phone for a billing cycle and call 611/800-937-8997(T-Mobile Customer)
—Buy unlock code from eBay for $8(Non-Customer)

Bought mine outright at the store tonight, when i asked about an unlock code, guy said I had to wait 45 days or some crap. So was he telling me BS? Guess I'll have to call customer service to do this.
I requested an unlock code and cellunlocker and its been more than 4 hours and they still havent sent me a code.

I used the unlock code that i received from the link in your signature..
when I put in the code, it said network unlocked.. BUT somehow it didnt work. cant make calls or anything. As if it was still locked.
So i went back into the screen where you put the unlock code, and now there is NO prompt for it.. it simply says you cant personalize this phone.
I only attempted the code once..
any advice?

Yes the Sim is activated. I am currently using the Sim card on my other phone. Its Metro Pcs

Although i am not from the USA, i would assume metroPCS dont use gsm sim card. And that ur phone probably doesnt have that frequency band that can work with metroPCS

I have never used the service, but I see www.cellunlocker.net mentioned a lot. Worth emailing/calling them. They should guarantee their code works.

More than likely they would not be able to do so as I am going through the same issue. Mine was denied by ATT and im currently going through a unlocking service but it doesn't look good. Ill keep you posted.
I tried a service called unlocunit.com this morning and I actually received an unlock code a few minutes ago. I haven't been able to try the code yet since I'm at work, but I paid $32 and they gave me the code, so maybe it will work for anyone else in the same situation.
ya i got a code for $25 form www.cellunlocker.net and it did not work for me. They are currently working to unlock it but dont know if i will be resolved if ATT cant do it
What I found out was that the ebay seller that I bought the phone off of is the original owner and I have to have him call ATT and he has to let them know that he sold the phone to me and then they can unlock it. @twithers did you try your unlock code???

Hi! Thank you for answering my question.
The device is locked to the T-Mobile carrier. I want to use it with Freedom Mobile here in Canada, the phone should work on this carrier. I made the mistake of buying it through ebay (was cheap) I will use cellunlocker.net to unlock it.

Okay. Please let us know if cellunlocker works, I haven't tried their service due to too expensive.
You might be able to unlock this device and use it on every network.
But you will probably not be able to use it with Freedom mobile in Canada because Freedom uses CDMA technology, whereas T-mobile uses GSM.
Update: Cellunlocker was unable to unlock the device. Will return and buy the H850 instead.

Goodnews guys! After waiting a week for cellunlocker to unlock my device because the first try it didn't work and now I received an email from them and after their 2nd try they successfully unlocked my device! I already lose hope on getting my device unlocked it but now its unlocked!
Edit: I stayed on H830L when It was unlocked.

Nope. I never used a T-Mobile sim. I get the phone thru some online seller here in the Philippines. On their first email that says my device was successfully unlocked but when I tried it, It fails I emailed them and they told me to wait again and after few days they finally unlocked my device.
Does your IMEI come up on t mobile website using the imei checker? . I tried cellunlocker about a month ago but they couldnt unlock my device and refunded me

I have an H830 locked to t-mobile that I want to use on Freedom mobile in Canada also! How much did you have to pay to do this? All these sites are asking me for $150 and cellunlocker.net simply told me that I should wait up to a month before asking them again because they're having troubles with it.
Same here...I found a local phone shop who promised to unlock for less than $25.. two days later they said the server is down. I think its global I got the same response from different eBay sellers also. I hope T-mobile is not patching their system.

I just bought the phone from Craigslist and it's brand-new from Verizon. I have to unlock to use it on AT&T. Do you have any suggestion for a good website to buy unlock code?
I have not used an unlock service in a long time, but I DO HOPE that you checked to make sure the IMEI is clean and not black-listed before you bought it (e.g. Stolen or reported stolen or whatever reason they put them on black-lists).
There are a ton of free IMEI checkers if you search online.
I have always had carriers unlock my devices, so it MIGHT be worth calling Verizon, but if that fails, I don't have a suggestion on a site, but I am sure others can help.

also it has not been activate and I check IMEI "Clean"
- Has to be clean, not stolen or reported stolen.
- has to be fully paid off on Verizon.
Dealt with this before, those are the options...outside of paying someone online to do it.
