MIUI 11 Recovery ROM v11.0.1.0.PGGIDXM - Redmi Note 8 Pro Questions & Answers

Hi, i tried to my update my RNP8 to MIUI by manual update (flash) using the recovery rom v11.0.1.0.PGGIDXM and the update fails. It's the usual error message 'cant verify update - other reason'.
Did anyone else try and faced the same?

i too got error 7 in TWRP.
removed compatibility.zip from package, still same error. (this worked always for my OP5).

[Q] CM7.2 upgrade can't boot

Hello,
Today I updated my rom manager on my phone and saw there was a new cynanogenmod rom availble for my phone.
I downloaded the ROM with Rommanager and when it rebooted into clockworkmod recovery for install - it stopped displaying the message "Installation aborted".
I have tried downloading both version 7.2 and 7.1 (the one I were using before) manually and installing it by recovery bootloader - then I'm gettin the error message: (bad) Installation abborted.
I'm not able to post the recovery.log, cause of XDA forums restrictions :/
Any suggestions to what I could do, to get my phone working again?
Okay fixed it..
Used adb push instead of just copying the roms to the sdcard.

I cannot install xiaomi.eu. ERROR 7 in TWRP

I can't install xiaomi.eu for my mi5s. When I try to install I get error
Updater process ended with ERROR: 7
Error installing zip file '/sdcard/xiaomi.eu_multi_MI5S_V8.5.2.0.MAGCNED_v8-6.0.zip'
md5 for this file is ok
Are you using Updater app?
You should not!
Use TWRP.
BTW, your device is unlocked, isn't it?
Error 7 is that the ROM is not for your phone.
bootloader version problem
You might have installed TWRP and tried to install EU rom.
Flash the latest chinese developer rom to update the bootloader, wipe and install the EU rom you want.
It'll solve the problem

twrp problems

It seems like every time I use twrp, I get an error if "zip verification failed" or "error 7". How can I fix this?

You are trying wrong twrp, use the pie twrp for pie firmware and Oreo for oreo firmware.
Use latest pitchblack recovery for whyred. Its working perfect.
Official TWRP is not compatible with Pie Firmware. Try my recovery - working on both firmwares well.

E1001 : Failed to update cust image. Error 7

Lately most of hte miui roms I try to install gives me this error. I have a whyred china. I tried updating to latest firmware and nothing. Other roms work fine and roms older than 20/1/2020 work fine. Edit:- I am using orangfox recovery.

I cannot install a custom ROM on T-320.

When I try to flash a custom ROM I get this error:
E: unkown command [retry_update]
E1001: Failed to update system image.
Updater process ended with ERROR: 7
Error installing zip file '/sdcard/lineage-16.0-20200411-UNOFFICIAL-mondrianwifi.zip'

I fixed it by flashing RR(android 7.1.2) and then trying to flash Los.
Sorry for dredging up an old thread, but I believe that this situation applies to me as well.
Today, I have tried multiple times to install the latest LineageOS onto my SM-T700 Samsung tablet using:
twrp-3.5.2_9-0-klimtwifi.img.tar
lineage-17.1-20210902-UNOFFICIAL-klimtwifi.zip
open_gapps-arm-10.0-nano-20210910.zip
[I also tried CrDroid (crDroidAndroid-10.0-20210903-klimtwifi-v6.21-LuisROM.zip) with the same result]
Each time I attempted to do this, I ran into the dreaded 'E1001' error. I had no idea what I was doing wrong, but I stumbled across this thread and successfully installed 'Resurrection Remix' (RR-N-v5.8.5-20201230-klimtwifi-Luis.zip) with the appropriate 17.1 OpenGapps (open_gapps-arm-7.1-nano-20210910.zip). I would much rather have the newest version of Android provided by LineageOS -- but this at least gave me the success I was looking for.
Why would installing Resurrection Remix 5.8.5 (Android 7.1) help in any way to making a subsequent install of LineageOS 17.1 (Android 10) successful?
@darethehair which stock was the latest you had on it?
Perhaps a newer bootloader would help.
