[Q] Help a Noob - Flash or Update Three UK G3

Hi,
After reading a lot of threads and getting confused when they go off at a tangent could someone please help me.
I have a Three UK 16gb G3 and it's stuck on 10a firmware with no OTA or PC Suite update available, what I would like to know:
Is it possible to update it to a newer version manually without losing my data?
If so what software & file(s) do I need to do this?
After this will it get future OTA's or will I have to do it manually every time?
One last question:
Is there a way to flash it with the firmware for the sim free UK model (to get rid of the three bootscreen) and get OTA's in future, preferably without wiping my data?
The easier the better please as i'm new to flashing androids and would rather not have to root or mess about with anything too complex.

From what I understand you can flash an international European firmware and you'll get OTA updates. The only issue is that Three use different bands for lte than other euro carriers e.g. EE. This means you'll be without 4g unless you resort to a bit of hacking the build prop.

this could answer my question i have the korean variant of the g3 and cannot pick up 4g in places i used to be able to with my galaxy s5 mine seems to have v10g installed would flashing a uk firmware be the answer?
Ps sorry i'm an lg noob as well

If you flash the stock firmware that does not mean you get OTA updates as it's done by IMEI and to remove the 3 splash screens you have to be rooted and remove the /data/.OP/H3G_COM folder

[Q] How do i unlock sprint samsung tab S ?

Hello,
As the title says, How do i unlock my Samsung tab S from Sprint so that i can use it on AT&T or internationally? I've searched all over google and this forum itself but i couldn't find a post that explains how. Is it possible to unlock this device by adb or other methods of unlocking such as editing the hex? Any help is very appreciated!

Possibilities
This is what I found out:
The chip in my Sprint Note 3 and Samsung Tab S 10.5 is similar and when compared the base bands were different. I unlocked my Note 3 using SSU. I tried the same on the Tab S it did say unlock but nothing happened when I installed a Local SIM ( Airtel )
The other thing I would like to point out is that SM-T807V, SM-T807R4 and SM-T807P all use the same chipsets i.e, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800, and one has the possibility to choose the GSM/Global-Mode on the SM-T807V( Verizon ) I am not aware of the U.S Cellular (i.e,SM-T807R4) though. If someone could shed some light on that.
So I would assume there are 2 ways to go ahead with this, one would either be to downgrade the baseband to that of the Note 3 then install Android 4.4.2 and then use SSU to unlock ( not to sure on this method just gave it a thought though ) and the other would be to flash the ROM on the SM-T807P with the Stock ROM of the SM-807V but then we are road blocked by the Kernal so possibly we might need to fabricate a new Kernal for this.
This is my first post on xda Hope what I said has helped. Do let me know if anyone has any development on this because I am stuck too.

Several issues with the plan.
You are unlikely to be able to flash the baseband from the Note3. There is no firmware available for the t807v and no source code.

How about the SM-T807R4 ? Can we use that ?

I'd be pretty sure the bootloader would reject it.

But doesn't the SM-T807P have an unlocked bootloader?

It does, but the carrier versions seem to be more picky with what they'll flash.
The only way is to try it. Make a twrp backup then go for it.

why the the Exynos 5420 is so bad compare to the qualcomm snapdragon when it comes to optimization?

Sorry, I am new to all that but i could give it a try. I'll let you know sometime in December the Tab has gone in for a service, the battery seems to have expanded and my top left screen has poped out and then the touch stopped working and my screen went all gibberish.

Hey i had called sprint and all they told me was that this device isn't ment for global use and it only supports CDMA and LTE, and that was a shocker because the verizon one supports global use

Has anyone come up with an unlock for this yet ? I am stuck with a locked device ??

Could you check if this enables EE wifi calling too? I'm tempted to flash my unbranded H815 with this if it does.

I've just found out how to get it.
You need to run Wireshark and record your traffic whilst checking for updates in bridge - you don't need to install the update.
Once the check is done, stop the capture and apply the display filter:
http.request.uri contains "downloader.dev"
You should then have a link to your KDZ.
I've attached some screenshots for you.

One thing I found out though. It's the sim it self that makes the wifi calling option appear in the menus.
I unlocked my EE G4. Put a 3 sim in it and the wifi calling option has gone completely.
When I put my EE sim back in the wifi calling option appears again.
I didn't relalise this when I had my sim free G4 from Amazon, I was flashing EE rom from devtester and wasn't seeing the wifi call of option as I was using my three sim. I was thinking the rom may be dodgy but it could of been ok
To late now as I've returned my Amazon G4 and just got my EE G4 which I don't want to mess around with.

Could you still do the check for me? I would hugely appreciate it!
It returned the KDZ in the capture for me when I'm already on that version, so hopefully it might for you. I have my EE sim in the phone but it's an open H815 - I just want to try flashing the EE firmware but there aren't many people on here with the EE one.

Great. Please keep us updated. Shame I just sent my Amazon G4 back otherwise would of tried it myself.

I finished flashing about 5 minutes ago and I now have the menu. Great success!
I've not had the network name change yet but everything I've read online says you need to wait a while. Hopefully it'll work and I'll finally have a phone that I can use at work (the building blocks RF very well).
Could you keep us updated with any other updates that you get notified of? I'm hoping that they'll push out the Marshmallow one next but I'll need the KDZ for that too since the built in updater will go off IMEI.

^ g didn't have gsm only option, K has one. Also there is a grayed out option in developer tools(bottom)

So everything is working exactly how EE branded G4 should be ?
It took mine about 10 mins for the wifi calling to register and appear on screen when I first put my sim in.
Will keep you updated about MM
Also out of ingested what software version does your G4 now say ?
Mine is v10k-234-30

I've got an unbranded G4, tried flashing both with LG Flash Tool 2014 and LGUP but both times resulted in V10k-EUR-XX instead of 234-40 leading to no WiFi calling toggle.

I'm showing as EUR-XX too - looks like we can get it to 234-30 by doing something similar to what was done in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63478278&postcount=14 for Three UK.

Thought you said wifi calling is now showing, does it work?

It shows but doesn't work

Is there a way to get rid of this annoying message for good?

I was running a V20aBRA MM on my LG G4 H818P.
I flashed V20H Saudi Arabia (not 100% sure about the country right now since I'm away from my notebook).
Everything went smooth but this annoying message every time I reboot the phone.
"Current version is not available for user. Can't find matched cust for NT-code mcc/mnc[FFFFFF],subset[34]"
Does someone know a way to get rid of this annoying message for good?

You flashed a kdz from the wrong country zone.....
You may need use Google to get this fixed.....

LG Up 1.15 is out there, but we don't have a working common. DLL file. The V40 has one, maybe that will work, but either way it's risky. Reading that the V35 lost radio signal when crossflashed.
Let's wait patiently. Don't try, it is very possible you will be able brick your BEAUTY!
I'm just fine with latest 11m update which brings 4K 60 fps Super Steady Mode. Also incredible battery life. 9 hours with 13% left.

My mean is LG UP Dev Patched not LG UP User
LG V350xxx will no problem if You dont try cross from US to Kr...

Please can we flash V500EM on Korean version? I want the Eng language on all the application such LG Smartworld, thank you.

Using LG V50 Korean KT version in UK (LM-V500N)
Hi All,
I have the LG V50 Korean KT version LM-V500N and have been using it in the UK on the Vodafone Network. Unfortunately it doesn't appear to connect to the 5G service.
Does anyone know if there is a limitation or incompatibility on this version as the reason it doesn't work with 5G?
My SIM is and 5G coverage is ok as I have also used a Samsung 5G and it works with my SIM.
I haven't yet tried an EE 5G SIM to see if it works on that network.
Any help would be much appreciated.

EE doesnt work also.How is the korean version ?I am thinking to buy one from wonda.

Thanks for confirming EE 5G doesn't also work. I went to an EE shop and asked them to check if my V50 would work by inserting a 5G SIM but they refused. Most unhelpful staff.
I really like the V50, upgraded from V30 which I also really liked. Only problem is some KT specific menu are still Korean language.
There is one menu called GIGA 5G when enabling asks for KT SIM to be inserted.
Once it is possible to crossflash with open Europe firmware might fix this I hope. Also maybe 5G in Europe?

You can try with lgup 1.16.0.3 and common dll 1.40. This LGUP does not permit for korean crossflashing, we dont know for EU/Australia. Try it using refurbished.

Well it can't be done.
Very disappointed I brought this to replace my note 9 and I cannot believe lg is still on July patch. At the moment they are a big joke in the phone world.
Does anyone one believe it will get more updates.
I have seen some one using Chrome across both screens like a tablet but can't work out how.

It should be way past July patch by now. Other people have received more updates than you

That's what I thought but I guess Australia doesn't rate.
They won't even allow me to put a European firmware on it. Also thought seperate keyboard on one screen was std .

Are you using v50 in Australia? My v50 from telstra is only on july patch.
