Hello,
I'm on OOS but would like to move to a CM based ROM, problem is I really like sRGB mode. The default is too crazy for my eyes and makes the screen look cheap. Is there a way to enable sRGB mode in CM based ROMs?
Cheers

They have livedisplay instead of sRGB / default stuff from OP. You can also tune yourself the color schemes.

As far as I know they are two completely different things: Live Display adjusts the tone of the screen, while sRGB sets the screen color space.
I'm no expert at all and still waiting for my unit, but I gather the results of these two features are be very different.

You may be right, but apparently CM will stay as is.
sRGB is good, slightly grey looking screen, but it's OK to look at. From the CM ROMs I've used the colours can still be a bit too vivid and wild.

Has anyone found a solution yet? I just flashed Sultan's CM13 which does not have sRGB build in. I can't stand the calibration without sRGB..

Just use any kernel that have KCAL control. And tweak your screen color, hue, sat, contrast, whatever to your liking
blu_sp*rk, boeffla, elemental, all has KCAL control.
I apparently the Mi 6 has an rbg led but its disabled? Well this is what someone is saying here http://en.miui.com/thread-856341-1-1.html
Another annoying thing is that the LED of notifications can be only set up as white, a step forward because even cheapest xiaomis have multicolour LED. However, many Rom developers (like TomHenson) have found out that the Led is in fact multicolour (same as Redmi 4X) but capped by Xiaomi to display only white colour.

This apparently also happened on the Redmi 4X and there is a video showing it has an rgb led.
@UnknownDev420 @Cozzmy13 Can this be enabled via kernel tweaks?
Our G and B LEDs are routed to the left and right buttons.

I was reading the comment section for gsmarena I believe and i noticed someone complain about the redmi note 5 pro only having one colour for the notification light. However i tried to search for information regarding this on the internet but was only able to find a youtube video on the review of the redmi note 5 pro from gadgets.ndtv.com that showed a front facing white light they used for the 20mp selfie; jump to 4:18 for the diffused led fill light at the front.
If anyone can provide information about the notification light on the redmi note 5 pro, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Dont worry it'll be a RGB notification light. They won't cut corners on notification light for their note series atleast.
Update (23-05-2018): Turns out the notification light is a single color unit.
RN5 & RN5 Pro both have RGB notification light.
The op is right,

Dont worry its an RGB led. Its just the color is restricted to white only( like in my redmi 4x). It'll be enabled on custom roms.

I've tried other LED color changing apps, and I think it is a monocolor LED.

The Mi6, Mi Note 3, 5X and A1 only have white notification LEDs. It seems Xiaomi made the decision 12 months ago that new models would not include a RGB LED. Please don't post information unless you're sure of its accuracy.

Bro i have redmi 4 and it also came with single white notification light but it turned out to be a rgb unit. So on custom roms the rgb led is perfectly working fine.

That's good to know. However, it would be good to confirm that's the case with all models or if you got lucky with the R4.

He ain't lucky, he is correct. The hardware supports RGB, but the stock software limits it to white light.
Custom ROMs may very well have the option to enable the complete RGB unit.

Yeah, I understand, but it would be nice to have confirmation about the other models I mentioned. It would make sense that it's simply a software limitation based on what he reported, but Xiaomi may have changed things in other models for all we know.

They may have changed for other device. But it ain't luck for sure for R4 as each one has rgb unit, just limited to white only in miui.
Also i hope its the same with R5pro.
Guys i confirm we do not have RGB LED.
It is just a white LED so using apps is useless.
Redmi note 5 and Redmi note 5 pro both have the same white single colour LED.
So it is not a software issue or software limitation but it is seriously absent.
Sources :- Comparing notification LED module form Teardown videos of RN5P, RN5, RN4, R4 available in YouTube.
PS :- Not only that we have single tone (white) dual LED flash for back camera. So no dual tone available. It is strange that there is dual tone LED flash for Redmi note 5 and single tone for redmi note 5 pro.
Link to the video?

Yes due hardware limitation. They started to use one color notification led (like MI 9T same thing), unlike the Redmi 4x it was software limitation.
Hi, im using redmi note 9 pro joyeuse global version with miui 12 and there is a on-off option for aod in settings but its useless i mean i cant use this.I searched on internet and there is a magisk module for really activating aod but both model havent amoled. My real question is is there any solution for joyeuse like curtana?

Sadly there is no aod for both device, miui optimisation setting is off from developer settings thats why we see this aod option.
Btw using aod on lcd panel is not true for battery and screen health.Aod only for amoled screens.
I need a aod zip for magisk Redmi note 9 pro pls magisk modules
