I have a HTC M8. I get com.htc.htcdialer has stopped unexpectedly error when I try to open dialer also similar error for people app and tv app. I tried reset factory with no luck and have not skype as someone suggested somewhere to remove it. tried installing new rom but got remote sign verification error and could not find firewater to s-off it.
the only temporary solution worked for me is to change dalvik to art in dev mode. but I want to give this phone to someone and he may want to reset phone and then get error again because default is dalvik! so it is only a temporary solution. I need to fix this issue.
so why these apps works in art mode but not dalvik!? and any solution? note that I also tried clearing dalvik cache.
fixed by flashing new firmware

I was running cm-10.2.1 and last night I installed CyanogenMod updates cm-11-20140104-SNAPSHOT-M2 and cm-11-20140210-SNAPSHOT-M3. Several of my apps either quit working or disappeared. When I clicked on Play Store to try and re-install the apps, I got a message of "No Connection". Searched the problem and several people said to delete the Google Account and re-install it. After deleting it, the phone will not let me recreate it. When I click on Add Account and then the Google symbol, nothing happens.
Is there solution to fix this? if not, can I just re-install 10.2.1 and fix it?
My phone is an AT&T SGS3.
Thanks,
retnuh
Re-flash GApps, that has happened to me before, and this is what fixed it.
As LittlePalmTree stated, sounds like you need to reflash GAPPS. Make sure you grab the one compatible with cm11. cm11 is android 4.4 where as cm10.2 was 4.3 if I am not mistaken.
Thanks for the help. I tried to re-flash the gapps after reading the first reply but before reading the second reply. You guessed it. I did it wrong. The phone would not get past the spinning circle screen. Ended up using CWM to re-flashing the rom stored on my phone and also re-flashing the gapps stored on my phone. So, I'm back to version 10.2.0, but at least my phone is working again. While I would like to update, I'm afraid I will mess my phone up again.
Thank you for both of your replies.
Googled the problem and found a few solutions from the simple - force stop/clear cache - up to full factory resets.
Different things seemed to work for different people.
Tried the force stop/clear cache and check time/date is correct (which causes some people problems.
Then I tried removing my Google account and adding it in again. However, it wouldn't let me do that until I re-flashed GAPPS. Did that and it all works fine now.
Hi i had lollipop running flawlessly for a good while then noticed a small issue went to clear cache through twrp and i wasnt paying enough attention as it prompted me to install su and accidentally swiped it, phone was stuck on splash screen so i booted back into twrp factory reset the phone (advanced wipe selected everything) and reflashed the 5.0 bumped fix.zip and all is well..... Accept i cannot download anything other than playstore apps, so i cant use the update centre it tells me there are updates but selecting them makes them instantly try and fail, i think it could be 'Downloads' that needs to be updated to allow me to fix this but i cannot find the apk,
WHAT IVE TRIED
Ive cleared data and cache and force stopped any related apps ive tried multiple restarts, ive tried reflashing the bumpedfix.zip, oh and ive tried wifi and mobile data, its gotta be a read and write issue does this mean back to stock for me and update after?
Any ideas welcome

Hi
I need help.
On Friday I did a factory reset via settings menu on my m8 (TMO-111(DE)-stockrom, locked, s-on, 6.12.111.4-ota) 'cause I want to pass it on to my son.
After the process I completed the initial setup and mentioned messages "Google Play Services needed, please install" (coming from i.e. Hangouts and other Google apps).
I checked in the apps and found the Google play services completely missing. (Yes, they have been there and working before the factory reset.)
After performing another factory resets first via settings and then again (same result...) via bootmenu (again same result) as well as deleting caches and data via fastboot, I started to search for apks for manual installation.
I found them via apkmirror and tryed several 438 versions. After manual installation I get again and again popups saying Google Play services has been stopped.
I assume there is something else missing.
Have tried everything I could think of since friday. Well not everything, until now I try to avoid to unlock the bootloader and root considering the target person...
Maybe someone having a signed RUU 6.12.111.4 or newer which I could flash to get it working again?
Anyone out there having another idea how to fix this?
Regards,
Steffen
Hi. Did you find a solution? I have the exact same issue.
I also have this issue. any update?
I would suggest flashing a gapps package , but that might require unlocking and rooting
Hello.
I'm noticing too many apps crashing on my device. I'm on android 6.0, htc sense 7.0
Apps crashes with following error "Unfortunately App Has Stopped"
I've to restart my device in order to make those work again.
What I've tried so far:
Clearing cache.
Rebooting
Uninstalling / Reinstalling apps
Even after factory resetting, this message keep up coming. Do any of you guys ever experienced this issue?
You may try to RUU, if one exists for your version. RUU will wipe the phone, but you've already done that, anyway.
Even I am facing the same issue on my Moto G4 plus. Can anybody help.

Its not a good idea to ask for help, in a device forum that doesn't match your device. The solutions for another device may not work, may not apply (such as my advice on the M8 to run RUU, which is an HTC specific tool, or may even damage your device.
Try to find your device specific forum section.
Hello I want to ask for your help in this problem that is giving me the phone He tells me cannot load android system. your data may be damaged. if you keep getting this message, you may need to do a factory reset and erase all user data. I already tried with LMSA and using the factory reset option and it remains the same after restoring the google backup or even if I do not restore it always after restarting the phone it still gives me the same error.
I think I discovered the problem and only happens when the latest patch of the play store update system is installed in espesifico the April after I turn off the phone gives me the error until now I have been using it with the app store disabled and does not give me error if there is someone who knows how to prevent automatic update that patch would be of great help
